Rick completed the work to my expectations and was very professional. Based on my first experience with Rick, I have hired him to do additional handyman and carpentry jobs for me.

Rick responded very quickly to my initial request for a quote. After discussing the issue on the phone, he also came over to do a visual inspection of the area. After confirming that I wanted to move forward with the work, he provided a contract for me to sign and confirm the date work would be done. He showed up as expected the day of the job and completed the roof vent replacement in a timely manner. Also, the shingle replacement of the surrounding area is unnoticable. His work was impressive and he left no trash/debris behind. I'm greatly impressed with how easy it was to communicate with him, and the quality of work performed. Richard from curb appeal was very professional, talented, and honest about what was needed. I enjoy working with him and plan to work with him again in the fall.

Rick's work was excellent! We totally enjoyed working with him! He is very precise and detail oriented and the finished work truly has curb appeal! We wouldn't have anyone else do our landscaping!

He worked meticulously to weed, remove an old weed barrier, redefine the lawn edging and put down fresh mulch, one shovel full at a time. We're very pleased.

We first used Rick to perform landscaping services. He prunes and fertilizes our existing shrubbery, plants new bushes when needed (appropriate for the specific location), mulches around plantings and performs general yard maintenance duties. We are very impressed by his excellent customer service, thoroughness, attention to detail and willingness to share his knowledge. He most recently rebuilt our front walkway area. The pavers in the walkway had sunken and become uneven and the retaining walls were in danger of toppling over. Rick explained what had happened and what he would do to correct it. We hired him immediately for the hardscaping project. He is a true craftsman and carefully re-excavated the affected area, brought in a substantial amount of crushed stone to create a much more stable base and then carefully and precisely rebuilt the retaining walls and reinstalled the pavers in a herringbone design. We could not be more pleased with the results. He even spent extra time and went out of his way to go to the stone yards to pick up materials and try to get the best match for our existing pavers. Rick always responds quickly to phone calls and/or e-mails, lets you know when he will be on the job site and arrives on schedule. He cleans up the work area daily and takes away any trash or debris. His bill was very reasonable. We plan to continue using Rick for landscaping maintenance and we have already hired him to repair the back walkway (needing similar repair to front) without getting a firm estimate. We trust him that much!

We had a long list of things that needed to get done, and Rick was a pleasure to work with. He was very professional, polite, and always showed up for the job when he said he would. We appreciate that he was very thorough in all of the projects he worked on, and was always very honest and upfront about the costs. His completed work was top notch. We highly recommend his services, and we would definitely call him again in the future.

Rick is truly wonderful! Extremely responsive, very honest, reasonable prices, and never pushy. He has looked over our property several times and given suggestions without charge. We had some bad experiences early on with other landscapers and gardeners and it was so great to find Rick. I would never use anyone else for any of our gardening or landscaping needs! Very highly recommended.

They worked hard and did a very thorough job removing the trees and cleaning up the entire area. I'm looking forward to getting to the next phase of the project.

It went great! Rick was awesome! He came out to our house very quickly after I had contacted him to give us an estimate. He came back to our house when he said he would and started and completed the job. Rick was extremely professional, thorough and neat. He was very reasonable. Curb Appeal Landscaping owner, Rick Slavinski, did a thorough job of evaluating the problem area on the roof. He was able to address some potential causes for the leaks. He identified, took pictures, and showed me areas that require attention including a crack on the chimney mortar. He was very detailed and clear about what he found. Since the longer term repair required a roof replacement and removal of a decorative chimney, Rick took the initiative to get a tarp and properly secure it to the roof to alleviate any risk of water damage until I could get to the roof replacement. Additionally, Rick replaced the flashing around the bathroom vent pipes. All in, Rick is a very detailed, precise, and trustworthy professional who goes out of his way to get the work done properly. He takes the time to do it right the first time. Highly recommend his work and in fact have since hired for other work.

Curb Appeal Landscaping owner Rick Slavinski did a tremendous job on every one of these projects. He is a perfectionist who takes the time and makes sure the work is done absolutely right each time. He is dependable, responsive, polite, personable, and a pleasure to work with. Rick installed the new screen door perfectly. I was particularly concerned as we just had new Hardie siding and trim installed which is very expensive and did not want it damaged. Rick was precise with his measurements and installation and we had no damage or issues. He adjusted the screen door tension to handle the weight of the door and close with just the right speed. He even pointed out a scratch on the door as it came from the distributor and provided a tel# to call where I was able to get a free bottle of touch-up paint from the manufacturer to fix the scratch. Rick and his helper installed a very heavy granite mailbox post and installed the mailbox. Both the post and mailbox are perfectly level. Even though it was 90+ degrees outside, Rick took the time to carefully replace the stone landscaping around the new mailbox location, he removed the thorny barberry shrubs around the old mail post and dug out the old mail post footing and then replaced the stone landscaping so it looks just perfect - no sign of the old mail box. Even the neighbors remarked on how great a job he did! Rick replaced an the old garage basement door which did not close properly once the insulation guys sprayed the wrong foam around the frame. He ordered the steel fire-rated door which was just the right style for the house. He also suggested a digital keypad set which we love. Again, he took the time to make sure the framing was just right, installed the door, reinstalled the alarm lead, replaced the trim as well as the door kickplate. Again, everything was done perfectly right down to the countersinking of the trim nails so they could be filled and painted. A day after the work was completed, the lockset malfunctioned. Rick came out right away and called the manufacturer directly to determine that the lockset was defective. He brought it back to the distributor and ordered the replacement and once it came in, he was right out to the house to reinstall it. All in, we could not be more pleased with the work Rick has done. He takes great effort to make sure all is done just right. I would absolutely hire him again! He goes above and beyond every time.

We had a very good experience with him. I would highly recommend them. He was on time. He was knowledgeable. He was very prompt in giving the estimate and finishing the job. In fact I do have him coming again for another project.

I have used Curb Appeal Landscaping in the past and have always been amazed at the quality of their work. From the instant that I met Rick I knew that whatever job he did for me would be exceptional. They installed 8 Canadian Hemlocks for me about three years ago and just last week were back to prune and shear them for me. They look amazing! Not only is the work they do beyond exceptional, but they are neat, clean, friendly and professional. At the end of the day the only evidence of them being on your property are the tremendous results of their work. Their work is impeccable and I will never hire anyone but Curb Appeal in the future.

I am incredibly pleased with Rick's work. His dependability and attention to detail never disappoints. His ability to complete, and complete with great skill, any task I threw at Rick, makes for a versatile and talented worker. Rick was always prompt, perpetually polite and kind, and a very hard worker. I highly recommend Rick for any and all maintenance, construction, or landscaping job, but his capability doesn't end there.

I can't say enough about Rick/Curb Appeal. We have fairly extensive landscaping that was installed 8 years ago. Over the years, we have tried several landscapers for maintenance and while many were able to do the basic work satisfactorily, it has gotten to the point where it really needed more than just basic services. Rick was a referral from a colleague who has used him on a regular basis and spoke very highly of his work. However, even with her recommendation as a backdrop, Rick far exceeded our expectations. He is professional, reliable, very fairly priced, works alone and takes amazing pride in his work. The work he did is nothing short of meticulous and his work ethic and results are second to none. I should also note that he removed all of the old mulch from the beds and every last leaf, pine needle, etc. The mulch removal was not something that we expected and above and beyond, based on the price we paid. He also cleaned up his work area every day (leaf blew the driveway, etc.) so that things remained clean and orderly throughout the job. He brought the beds back to life and we are looking forward to having him back for phase 2 later this summer!

Rick did an excellent job. He cleaned up all the fallen leaves and branches, raked the gardens, deadheaded the bushes. He did a much better job, than other companies have done in the past. Easter weekend, I got many complements on how good the yard looked.

Curb Appeal Landscaping owner, Mr. Slavinski, returned my call and came to my home within a short time. Shingles had blown off the roof during heavy winds and rain the previous day. He determined what needed to be done, quoted his price, and performed the work efficiently, with superior neatness, for a very reasonable cost, and the work was completed within days. I would not hesitate to call him for any further services I might need at my home in the future!

Rick does a lot of work for us, and has for more than 10 years. All of the work is done with the utmost care and professionalism. I can't think of anything I would have changed about the experience.

I couldn't have had it do any better. He cleaned up the gardens, plot down mulch trimmed trees and bushes. He does any job as if he's working on his own house.

We use Curb Appeal for our yard work. But, recently we discovered a hole in our roof that was hidden by tree branches. The leak caused significant water damage to the support structure of that corner of the house. Rick worked for a few months, at imps in verify cold conditions during december and january. He did an incredible job. Rick is very competent, does excellent work and more importantly, is very trustworthy.

They are terrific. Rick has a very high concern for customer satisfaction. He is very dependable and completes the work correctly. He scheduled the work, showed up on time and worked extremely hard to finish on time - even in the most blistering days of July.
