We knew, going into our project, Wright Builders was going to be expensive, as one of the area's premium home builders, but we didn't care.  We were quite willing to pay premium dollar for quality work.  What we got instead was very disappointing.  The roofers showed up on the coldest day of the year in January (i.e. well below zero) and insisted upon doing their part of the project despite my asking if that was a good idea.  My suspicions proved well-founded later, when I did some research and learned roofing should definitely NOT be installed when it's that cold.  Live & learn!  Should have trusted my intuition and sent them away!  Two of the four new skylights were installed crooked and we had to do a call-back to get that fixed.  Even after a fourth call-back (i.e. second was when shingles lifted by one of the skylights and had to be fastened down; third was to have a metal chimney brace on the roof bolted down properly - I, finally, had to do that myself when that wasn't done right ) due to leaking the following year, darn things still leak in the winter when the snow & ice on the roof melt.  The old ones we replaced weren't as bad.  That was the whole point of replacing them in the first place!  We wanted skylights that wouldn't leak!  New kitchen door has developed rot at the bottom side frames which will need  to be repaired this year.  Took 3 call-backs to have a bad heating system thermostat replaced on the first floor; two to have a heating baseboard on the second floor installed correctly.  That baseboard has still not been properly installed because they complained we were having them do too may call-backs!  We would have paid more to get the work done right but it was clear they were more concerned with their profit margin and just wanted to move on to whatever other jobs they had lined up.  So, we gave up on them, as well.  That second floor baseboard still and has always worked properly, albeit noisily, but the face plate can't be hooked up on it because the Pex tubing and connection used in the install sticks out and, evidently, cannot be pushed back in without some serious work.  The kitchen stairs and landing were done very well, as was the cellar enclosure and door install there and all of the door locks.  Those sub-contractors did good work.  The people we all dealt with were all very friendly, professional, polite and responsive but the quality of the work done on the overall project was quite disappointing.  I've read and heard that Wright Builders does quality work on building new homes, especially up-scale ones.  Maybe they were just the wrong people to talk to about a relatively small project like ours.

Over the course of about a month Wright Builders and their sub-contractors made all these changes to our house with minimum disruption -- fast, courteous, and high-quality throughout. We have lived with the systems now for 2 months and everything works as advertised.
Wright Builders is a premium contractor and their prices may be higher than
competitors. However, there is truth in the saying that you get what you pay for. We have had work done in the past by contractors who underbid Wright Builders, and then added cost on later.

We are a family with two young children, and a project this large is really invasive to our lives.
I could not have been more pleased with the job Wright Builders did, and
feel that they did everything possible to make our experience as easy as
possible. From the design process, which was made enjoyable and easy,
to the completion of the work, each member of their team, as well as
each subcontractor, was top notch and easy to be around. Our budget was considered carefully,
and the design and plan were creative, smart and attentive to what we wanted to spend.
We live in an old farmhouse, and the new addition blends in beautifully to the existing structure.
Our project manager and foreman were fantastic, enjoyable to work with and very dedicated to our project.
Our children loved the attention received by our team, and continue to talk about them.
The project was finished when they told us it would be finished by, and cost what we were told it would cost.
I was given many horror stories of home renovation projects, and I'm glad to say that ours was a very positive experience.
If we were to do additional work, I would most certainly hire Wright Builders again.
I already have, and I will continue to recommend them to others.

Wright Builders is known for quality and they do excel. Their prices are sometimes a bit higher than the competition, but I have discovered that the motto "you get what you pay for" applies in the construction industry and having worked with "cheaper" contractors I can attest to the value you will get for your money from Wright Builders.
