We had just purchased our house in July of 2008 (built in 1992) and I think we either noticed something wrong with our heater (noise or not functioning) so we called Wilson and it turned out they were the company that had installed recently installed central AC in the house a couple of years ago. Someone came over to check out the heating system and outlined a couple of options to patch up/repair. We knew that the system would need to be replaced pretty soon so we asked for some options for a new system. Gary came over and took a look at our house and outlined a few options (good, better, best, premium) for higher efficiency heaters and also discussed placement of the system given things we might want to do in the future (finish the basement, build a deck). He was very no-nonsense, practical and knowledgable and wasn't pushing us in any particular direction. We decided on the best option (Viessman Vitodens WB1A 8-24 (95% efficient) and a 79 gallon 100 series water heater. Pretty soon after that, his team showed up and took about 3 days to install the system. Very professional and cleaned up after they were done. They were also okay with me coming down there every once in a while to see how things were progressing. About 3 months later (late Feb 2009), I noticed some water leaking out of a pipe, so I took a couple of pictures and e-mailed them over to Gary and very soon after that (maybe a day or two), he sent someone over to completely replace that portion of the piping, no charge. Just last month (March 2010), we just came back from vacation on a Sunday and noticed that it was very cold. Went downstairs and the heater wasn't working. I called Wilson and the person I spoke to ask me to try and reset the system, but unfortunately it didn't work, so she got in touch with Gary and he called me a little while later and then came over our house that afternoon (on a Sunday) to take a look. I don't know the specifics of it, but there was something malfunctioning that he thought might be a manufacturer's issue and that he would check with Viessman and let me know, but that he fixed it temporarily. Later that week, he e-mailed me that he received a replacement part from Viessman and came over and installed it. All of this was free of charge (normally would have been a minimum $400 bill given that it was a Sunday). The reason for a B rating for price is that we had heard that they do charge more than other places, but the level of service you get is much higher. We ended up not getting quotes from other places, so I couldn't say for sure, as we were impressed with them and they were already familiar with the house having installed the AC for the previous owners. Overall, a great experience with the guys at Wilson, especially Gary, the owner. Would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

There may be guys as competent as Gary and his crew, but there are none better. What's more, they seem to be good people. Erick and Bob were an excellent team, good humored and on task. Working on my house as if it was their own, they paid attention to detail. Their broad-based knowledge of modern boiler technology and the physics behind the controls was evident. I felt at ease knowing things would be done by the book. Having read that the proper installation of these high-end wall mounted boilers is particularly important, Gary and his guys seemed to be the go-to crew for the job.

II visited Wilson's shop to see his operation and set-up systems in January 2009. Gary came to my home to discuss my project, make suggestions, and an agreement to give me a proposal. I received the best proposal I have ever worked with. It detailed a-la-carte options with individual costs that would meet my needs. After several requests for more information on options were satisfied, Gary came back to complete a contract with me. The project actually began in April, 2009. Every member of the team from Wilson's was not only competent to complete his phase of the work, each was interested in my constant requests to understand what was being done and always listened to my suggestions and used them when the suggestion was a good solution. The men from Wilson's worked daily until the project was finished. The work took more than a week to complete. Gary was regularly present to check the ongoing work and returned after the work was complete to check all aspects of the project to insure that all of the elements of the system would work properly. I have had several communications from Gary asking how the system is operating.

After installing central AC in my house (previously reviewed) I also decided to replace the original LOUD, dirty smelly, oil heating system in the house. Major heating contractors in the area were requested to quote and I chose Wilson Services, based on the prior exceptionally good experience I had with their central air installation, competitive price, and strong technical knowledge. Again, Wilson provided vastly superior attention to detail in their quote and completed the job on time, on budget, and with no add-ons to their original quotation. Having replaced heating systems in several houses, with some very unpleasant and unanticipated contractor issues, the Wilson Services experience was exceptionally painless.

Having recently moved to a new area, into an oil-fired baseboard hot water system house and wanting to install central air, I polled neighbors and real estate agents for references to contractors. Nine were identified, covering all the major contractors in the phone book. I requested quotations from all nine, got responses from six and had them all come in to provide estimates. Five provided written quotations, one was verbal. Of all six, only Wilson Services carefully measured house and room sizes, the others all "eyeballed" the house to estimate AC size needed, some VERY superficially. . Estimates of unit size and cost varied widely, by a factor of two! Only Wilson conducted and provided a computer program cooling analysis, plus detailed description of equipment options including unit sizes, efficiencies, benefits and limitations. Wilson's price was near the low end, but not the lowest. Gary Wilson was the most knowledgable contractor, answering my questions thoroughly, and with great patience. I hired Wilson Services to do the work. They installed sheet metal ducts throughout (other contractors did not specify ducting in their quotations but, upon questioning, would have used cheap plastic flex ducts) and were incredibly neat and careful in duct placement, resulting in an appearance that the AC was original with the house. They finished the job on time, on budget. The system operates perfectly, as designed, cooling efficiently and uniformly--a particular challenge since three rooms with cathedral ceilings are scattered through the house. All members of the Wilson crew were well-trained craftsmen and delightful to work with. I have highly recommended them to friends, neighbors and real estate agents.

They were prompt in getting here and good at checking back to make sure that everything was okay. The person we worked with was very good. The price was reasonable.

They are good and they were really good with knowing energy efficiency. They were professional and knowledgeable. They were easy to work with and they came on time. I would recommend them.
