I found them on Angie's List. They were good. He was knowledgeable. He knew what he can do and what he can't do. The time was really quick. What he did for me was done really well and I don't know how to improve on something that is so individual as repairing a lamp. He did a good job.

The price was very reasonable.

I had 2 antique lamps, and was a little nervous about leaving them. I was reassured and every detail about the repairs were explained to me. I got a phone call when they were ready, and I was very happy with the results. I highly recommend their lamp repair service.

They had fair and prompt service.

I bought a $300. Poulan Pro lawnmower there three weeks ago. It mowed the lawn once and now won't even start. There was a time when Foster Farrah would come out and fix things like this. A time they stood behind their products. No more. I was told to bring it in (they wouldn't come out like Foster Farrar always used to) and if there were defective parts Poulan would reimburse them for the parts, but that labor was not reimbursed by Poulan so I will have to pay for labor. Again, I bought this lawnmower three weeks ago! After Drew, the lawnmower guy gave me that news, I asked to speak to the owner. Paul came on the line, told me that was the best he could do, and if I am unhappy to take it up with Poulan. I explained my reasons for shopping at his store, and explained that I have no relationship with Poulan, just with him. I also explained that Massachusetts Consumer Law (and common sense) says that there is an implied warrantee that supersedes every other policy and simply states that a product must do what it is intended to do for a reasonable period of time, or the merchant must fix the product, or refund the purchase, at the consumer's choice.Had I been there rather than on the phone, I could have seen Paul shrug his shoulders as he reiterated what he had said previously and refused to stand behind the product he sold. Bye bye, Foster Farrar.
