We had started to see black ants in our home. I had conducted my research and decided on two local companies that have been around for a long time. The first company that came out surveyed the property and informed me as to what was needed. I thought at the time he was thorough and did a great job. I was going to sign on, however my gut told me to be patient and get the other quote. The consultant for American Pest Solutions came to my door. He looked very professional and actually took off his boots when he came in. He asked me some questions pertaining to the issue we were seeing. He conducted his survey and noticed the stump in our yard. I had informed him that we had a tree taken down in the summer. He informed me that we may have disrupted a colony and they were now seeking a new home. Further, he checked under our sink and in the basement. Come to find out we had mice too!! We sat down and he discussed the strategy that they would use in resolving our issue. Thank God, I was patient and compared. I now knew what the cause was and learned things about carpenter ants and mice that I had no idea about. Now that is thorough!! Although the price was a bit more than the other company, I felt comfortable that I was obtaining more value (and I was getting my mouse issue taken care of). It has been 3 months and have had no issues since. I would highly recommend American Pest Solutions for their professionalism, knowledge, and value.
