Would not recommend this company.
Description of Work: This company does not know how to properly run a business. They are not organized and don't follow through on what they say they will do. First time we tried to work with them was about a year ago, they said they would call us back to set up a time to come by but no one ever called us back. Someone just showed up at our house unannounced at 7:30am a couple days later and wasn't very pleasant when we told him no one had ever scheduled anything with us. No apology for the mix up of course, although we were apologetic about the fact that we had to go to work since we hadn't planned to take the day off. Yet we still tried to give them the benefit of the doubt the next time we needed some plumbing work done recently. Yesterday my boyfriend called the office and the woman said someone would call back to set up an appointment. John called him back and said he would come by same day to confirm what the problem was and would block off time the following day to fix the problem. My boyfriend left his office in Boston to go back to Weymouth to meet him. No one ever showed up or returned the message he left. My boyfriend stayed home the next day for the appointment that was scheduled hoping that perhaps another job ran long or there was a family emergency. He called John to confirm the appointment and John stated he did come by yesterday but recognized our house from last time and decided he didn't want to do work for us. My boyfriend explained the mix up that happened last time which was their fault for not calling us back. John said it doesn't matter he won't work with someone like him. Terrible way to run a small business and disgusting way to treat your neighbors who are trying to support your small business. And basically just a terrible human being for thinking it's okay to treat others that way.

Description of Work: Judy and their team at Rizzo plumbing were perfect for the job I needed. It was a challenge because of the specialized vanity we purchased they did the leg work on finding a solution to the install. I would definitely recommend them and hire them back for all my plumbing.

We did struggle with replacing your faucet. Our intention was to help you choose a faucet that would fit in place of the one you had (which is pricey and difficult to get). However, by viewing the picture (instead of coming out for a service call – which in hindsight is what we should have done) we were not able to tell that the faucet was not standard, and this led to the supply house ordering the incorrect faucet – our fault. When we took apart the existing faucet to install the new one, we were able to see that the replacement would not fit. Our invoice was $200.00 (you paid the supply house directly for the faucet which may have been $300.00) and the job did take a full month to complete from your first call. We apologize for the length of time it took and that you felt we were giving you the runaround – that was not what we intended at all. You have been a good customer, and we are sorry you ended up unhappy.

Description of Work: We had a whole house water filter put in. Since we're at the endish of the water line, it gets a lot of sediment, clogging up aerators and filling water tank. They re-routed the plumbing line so that it you could avoid the filter if the water company came and flushed the lines again. They removed the original hot water heater filter, and also cleaned up some lines. Very courteous and responsive.

The work went well. He had one of his workers do the work. He had to move a vent pipe and reroute a drain that was along a 1st floor ceiling joist. We were only available on Thursdays because of our work schedule and he was very accommodating. Was there at the time he said he would be. I asked him to come back and take a look at the drain, which didn't open much. When he came to fix it he looked at the shower surround and didn't like the way his worker had seated it and came back on another day and reseated the surround. Very happy with the work and his responsiveness. The final cost was higher than the estimate but because of the extra work he had to do it was still reasonable. I am building a laundry on the first floor from the basement and Rizzo will be doing the work.

The plumber arrived went through what I wanted done, explained the pricing structure, and then went to work. Replaced the leaky spigot in no time, then connected in the other one very quickly. Then he walked me through what he thought was the problem with the leak before getting up on the roof and verifying it. Fixed that with some industrial sealant and he was on his way. I can't recall how long it took, but definitely under 2 hours.
Description of Work: Replaced an outdoor hose spigot (sillcock), hooked up another spigot, and diagnosed and fixed what turned out to be a vent collar leak on my roof.

John was great. Showed up EXACTLY on time for estimate, we scheduled the following Thursday, I had heat and HW that night. His assistant seemed pretty competent, as well. They had one minor snag (not their fault or anything) while they were installing the boiler, which they fought through like daemons. I bring it up as a positive, it wasn't like - oh hey we had some little issue, we'll see you in a couple days....They stayed late on the Friday to get it done. Nice. Final inspection the following week went smooth as silk. Their work and the finish on building a wall to hold the boiler, cutting a side vent outside of the house, and plumbing and soldering jobs looked 100% pro. Beautiful work. Love the new boiler. They installed a Navien, and I've had zero problems in the past 6 weeks. Piping hot water fires up in 20-30 seconds every time.

They got the all the work done and were very close on their estimate. I will hire them again in the future and would recommend them others. I have problems with scheduling plumbers in the past but not with this company. They return your calls as well which I found rare with other companies.

John arrived at 9:00am he looked at my boiler and took a complete inventory of parts he needed,no other tech.ever did this,at that time I knew I hired the right company.I thought my boiler was being cleaned every year,but when John opened my boiler and showed me all the soot that was never vacuumed out,what a mess.He vacuumed all the soot,and replaced the nozzle,strainer and filter.All these parts weren't replaced in years and I'm very happy John replaced all these parts. John went above and beyond to do a great job and I will call Rizzo Plumbing and Heating in the future......
