John came out right away and helped fix a clogged drain in the kitchen. When I mentioned that I was having draining issues with my shower, he even gave me a drain catcher which helped fix the problem. He was super helpful and I will definitely be calling him back soon to show me how to use my heating system and to install a new dishwasher.

They came out to reset my pilot, and show me how to reset it myself.

I had a water hammer problem in the upstairs shower and a bathroom sink faucet that was shooting water all over the walls. I contacted Rizzo through Angie's List and they were able to get me scheduled at a time convenient for me. The plumber was a bit behind schedule but upon arrival hustled through the house. I thought for sure the work would take longer but was very happy to see the work completed in a timely fashion. The plumber was very courteous and professional and explained in detail what he did as well as the scope of work which he quoted. I will definitely be using Rizzo again.

Everything went well. John Rizzo came out to see the job within two days of first call. He was friendly and helpful. Got an estimate a day later. Work scheduled within a week or so. Communication excellent thanks to Judy Rizzo in the office. Job was done professionally, neatly, efficiently. Guys were polite and friendly. Would hire again.

Mr. Rizzo sent Michael Hurley and all was fixed the next day. We are so grateful to this honest and hardworking company and to Michael who has to be a genious! ( He used a tool he had rigged to remove the frozen shower control spindle . This saved our tiled wall from having to be opened). Unfortunately his second task was the aweful job of changing the septic pump which he addressed just as pleasantly as the shower. Judy, who is the office contact, was super gracious. We feel these are good people who have earned our respect and an A+ for service.

I was planning on using Rizzo for my water heater installation but ultimately the water heater replacement was gifted to me by my father via one of his friends companies, (of course at no fault of Rizzo). Regardless of this I felt a need to write a review as Judy was extremely responsive, professional, knowledgeable, and more than helpful when setting up the appointment. She treated me like I was family when speaking with her on the phone and over email. This is not something you encounter often in this trade! How easy is it to take a picture of your existing water heater and send her and quickly get a price quote back?! I will certainly keep Rizzo in mind for any other pluming or heating needs. The price was extremely fair and she was able to quickly set up an appointment within my time constraints. I cannot thank you enough for all of your help! HIGHLY recommended!

Judy was very responsive in emails and quick to schedule an estimate. John Rizzo, the owner, was very professional, polite and patient when he did the estimate. I was able to get scheduled for the job just a few days later. Mike and an apprentice came to my home and worked very efficiently to get the job done. They were here less time than estimated and lowered the price accordingly! Thank you very much, Rizzo Plumbing!

We've used Rizzo Plumbing previously several times and have always been please with their work. We've recommended them to close friends. They are responsive, honest, professional, punctual and provide quality work.

My fiance was attempting to disconnect the hot water service line for the washing machine because we are in the process of moving, and the pipe that the valve was connected to literally broke clean off! So, we all of a sudden had a plumbing emergency, in which the hot water service line for the washer was no longer able to be turned off. Thankfully, my fiance was able to shut the valve most of the way off, but it was still leaking water all over the washing machine and into the rest of the basement. We placed a bucket to catch the water, and had to empty it about once every hour. We probably contacted about 10 different plumbing companies that supposedly provided 24-hr. emergency service, however, Rizzo was the only company to return our phone call. Initially, the owner of the company responded to our first voice mail saying that his technician probably wouldn't be available until about 11pm, which we didn't think we would need at the time, as it was probably about 7pm. Well, it turned out that by about 9pm, no other company had returned our calls for an emergency service, so we again left at message at Rizzo. The owner again returned our call promptly, and said that he wasn't sure if his technician would be available, and so, he, himself, literally got out of bed, got dressed, and came to our rescue!!! About half an hour later, our plumbing emergency was solved, and we could get back to the otherwise generally unpleasant process of moving. Thank you so much to the owner of Rizzo for being there for us in an emergency, when everyone else was a no-show!

Plumber came. We needed an estimate on washer/dryer hook up and new toilet and to plug shower both in basement. He said it can be done suggested to call drain company to look at main pipe that seemed to drain slowly. He said he would get the estimate in day or two via email. We called drained company that came the next day. Never heard back from the plumber and he never sent the estimate. I asked if it's a job he had time to do and he said yes. He mentioned going away which is why I waited over a week and 1/2 before writing the review to give benefit of the doubt. Still no email.

Able to speak with Judy in the office right away. Able to get estimate from Mr Rizz and work done by Mike within a week of my initial phone call. Estimate resulted in discovering the wrong toilet had been ordered, which was helpful to know ahead of time! Estimate received within 1-2 days: very fair for the work done. Arrived on time and work done neatly, quickly and well. Mike was quiet, pleasant and worked very efficiently. He patiently answered my questions. Very happy with the work and would definitely recommend Rizzo Plumbing

Our pipe burst on a Saturday morning. I called and left messages for over a dozen plumbers. They were the only one who called us back. There was a wait, but they arrived on time. The plumber was professional, showed us the broken pieces, and worked quickly. I would use them again

After calling a few providers, I hired Rizzo because their price was fair, they were the most professional on the phone, and they could do the work quickly. The same day, they sent someone out to assess the job, and then a technician to replace the water heater several hours later. From the very start, they were professional, prompt, neat and organized. They even called back the next day to say the tech forgot to give me the Angie's List discount for first time customers, and that they were crediting my account for it. The initial tech was also able to provide several helpful suggestions on cost effective ways to replace my furnace, which is the next big project. I will definitely use them again without hesitation, and highly recommend them. A great service provider!

This is the first time I use Rizzo Plumbing, John and Judy Rizzo were absolutely amazing to deal with from start to finish. They always are easy to get in touch with and if they miss your call they call back promptly. I added a additional bathroom to my home in the basement, consisting of a sink, neo angle shower and a toilet. When John show up for the estimate not only was his price fair but he gave me insight where the best location would be for the different fixtures and it worked out wonderfully. His crew of professional plumbers do a quality job and clean up after themselves and are friendly as well. There were no surprise add-ons when it came time to pay the final bill, it was what John say it would be. I would highly recommend Rizzo Plumbing and I will be definitely be using them in the future.

My e-mails were answered promptly and professionally. We received a quote via e-mail and were able to schedule the appointment via e-mail and the work performed came in right on budget. On the day of the job, they arrived promptly and were very professional when completing the job. I would recommend without hesitation and would use them again in the future.

What troubles me in writing this review is that I really wanted to like this company. Things started off fairly well, until the curtain was lifted and it was revealed how unorganized and unprofessional this company is. If you are thinking of hiring these guys you must read, so at least you were warned. My first gripe with this company is that they said they would do something (as part of their original price) and then tried to send me a bill for more money once the circumstances changed. Let me explain, John came out to review my small bathroom remodel, and told me that it is very straightforward. He explained how they would rip out the tub and how then how they would get the new one into the room. I thought , well this doesn't sound too bad. Well , what John didn't check was that the existing tub was cast iron. This resulted in a bill for an additional $360 on top of their original quote of over $1800. Why should I pay more because he did not take the time to check the tub? Some reviews say they are reasonable priced, well this price for 1.5 days of work folks.Scam artists? Keep reading. I did not want to pay the extra money as they told me "they will take care of everything", when I was asking multiple questions during the walk through for the original quote. So trying to be reasonable, I offered to split the costs. John refused to split the cost and gave me Rizzo customer service quote #1, "If I am not making 120/hr at your place , I am making it somewhere else". This basically says I could care less about your business as I don't need it right now. After multiple emails back and forth with Judy( who is actually really nice) , she understood my side of the story and basically convinced John to split the cost, who claims he didn't even remember my offer to split. (Really? Selective memory must be nice) This agreement to split was only agreed upon after I started questioning their original price and why it was so high. Using their 120/hr pricing, it was still too high. By the way I purchased all shower trims and valves, they only needed to provide a stick of copper and some PVC parts for the sink. (They did charge me for toilet parts too and never installed them, how about that?) Well , their $400 dollar material price seemed a little odd seeing a stick of copper is 15 bucks at Home Depot or Lowes, or anywhere really for that matter. I started researching what they were charging me for parts, and it turns out they have 200-300% mark up on everything!! WOW! What a business plan, charge 2-3 times what stuff costs, AND charge for parts and never install them, it is brilliant. At this point there was still hope to escape working with them with a mediocre experience. The final straw was when they had to come back a final time to install a drain that the plumbing supply house screwed up and gave us the wrong one. This admittedly was not Rizzo's fault. Keep in mind that to date there has only been 10-11 hours of work completed. I arranged to leave a key with the front desk of my building and emailed management to let them know the date and time Rizzo would be coming. I was expecting to come home from work that day and FINALLY have running water in my bathroom. NOPE! The plumber left the drain with my front desk and left? That's ddd, why would he do that? When I called John to ask what happened he accused me of not leaving a key at the front desk, and that I did not prepare their visit properly. I asked him if he or his plumber called me and here is Rizzo customer service quote #2, "Why would I call you?". Oh gee, I don't Rizzo, maybe so you can finish the job I paid you to do!? There was obviously a mix up between them and my front desk, somebody wasn't using their words, or was just lazy at the end of the day and wanted to go home. They were already working in my building that day and this was an hour before it was time to leave. As I continued to explain to John that I just spoke with my front desk and that indeed a key was left for them, and indeed a communication was sent for them to access my unit, I was fed customer service quote #3 from John, "WHAT ARE YOU F***ING DUMB"? Yes, John actually said this to a customer who is feeding his company his ridiculous rates and scandalous mark ups. So now, after hiring Rizzo, I am left with a sink that is still not working. After John cursed at me and hung up on me, I now have to pay more money to hire someone to come finish what Rizzo could not. Don't be fooled by this company, there are much better choices available as I now can see. At the very least don't let them provide you ANY material, they are robbing you. (I have found out there have been other similar complaints about Rizzo in my building and their shady practices. I will be circulating an email with all of my fellow residents to steer clear of these guys!)

I could never have a new cold water washing machine hose attached because the old one was frozen to the shut off pipe. They attached the new hose for me. When my new washing machine was installed the new drain hose was smaller than the drain pipe and would spill out water when the washing machine drained. They replaced the drain hose and set up a new draining format. The kitchen sink water was draining out very slowly. He tried to clear it with a blow machine, but it did not clear, so he had to open the lower pipe and snaked the pipe. It works great now!

We received a huge increase in our water bill. He came by to check for a leak in our plumbing system. There was not a leak, but he suggested we contact the town as our meter was not hooked up properly. We also had a kitchen fdaucet to replace, which was done on this job. He also looked at a dripping faucet in the upstairs bath and recommended a new cartridge. We mentioned that the faucet was relatively new (less than 2 years) and he called the retailer and had them ship yus a new cartridge at no charge. Very professional, we felt we got a great value for what we spent and would not hesitate to contact them again.

They did an okay job but they charge way more than we thought.

the plumber "Michael Hurley" arrived around 3pm and assessed the needs that I had re: kitchen faucets,bath faucets and tub faucets and was able to complete the job within 3hrs. Michael was pleasant and answered all my questions

They were great. Showed up on time and completed the job promptly and for a great price. Have used their services before and would continue to do so.

When the usual plumber never showed I went into Angie's List and found Rizzo Plumbing and Heating so I called them and they were here within one hour, got the water in the pool area working and verified that the pipe was not broken!! Needless to say, Rizzo is now my new plumbing company. Much to my surprise a week later I got a thank-you card from Rizzo! I thought who does that anymore. I am so pleased with their fast and professional service I have referred them to a neighbor who was having trouble getting their regular plumber to fix a problem in their house.

Leaking hot water heaters are never good. Called Rizzo Plumbing and Heating and spoke to Judy. She was very informative, polite and helpful. She took some information from me and called me back a short while later informing me John would be out today. John arrived when they said he would and took a look at my hot water heater. John was very knowledgeable and professional, he also took the the time to go over my steam system installed by another company. He provided me with tips to keep my boiler functioning at its peak. This was something the installing company ( NOT Rizzo Plumbing) neglected to do. I had many questions for John and he answered them all and provided a solution for my troubled shower. John is passionate about his profession and I will definitely be contacting them for future work. They will be back tomorrow to replace my water heater. Mike arrived early was polite and got straight to work. He kept the work area clean and we shared a few laughs. I would definitely recommend Rizzo Plumbing and Heating.
