PERFECT CUTS LANDSCAPING SERVICE

I have a neighbor who uses Perfect Cuts on a regular basis so when I needed a landscaper, I called them as well as 2 others (the others never called me back). I called the office on a rainy Wednesday. Tom. the owner, answered the phone and came out to my house within 1/2 hour. He toured the property with me and made suggestions on how to clean things up. Areas had not been maintained for years and many bushes and trees had not been trimmed or maintained for several years. My property is over half an acre and abuts wetlands which had started to invade my yard. And I needed the job completed within 2 weeks. Tom said he could satisfy my timeframe and left, promising a quote by email. Within a few hours, I had the quote that required 3 men for 2 10 hour days. I called Tom and agreed over the phone to his terms. On Monday at 7:30 am, he arrived with his crew of 3 very hard working men. Tom instructed them on what needed to be done and then he left. The crew worked hard, all day in 90 degree weather. They cleaned out several large overgrown areas including removing trees that had sprung up on their own throughout the overgrowth. They trimmed bush after bush and some trees and cut back a treed area. They carted the refuse away. Day 2 was similar. The clean up was completed and beds were edged. 3 cu. yards of mulch was laid in the front beds (that was the only area I originally planned to mulch). By the end of the 2nd day, it became apparent that the cleaned out areas in the rear of the house would look a lot better if they too were mulched. I talked to Tom and he was able to have his crew come back on a 3rd day and they spread an additional 9 yards of mulch. I was very pleased by this whole experience and amazed at how hard the workers worked given the extreme heat of those days. I needed a big job done in a short time frame and Perfect Cuts delivered. Highly recommend this company.

Tom, the owner is a sleeze. His crew of illegals did a pretty good job for the price, but they scratched my car in the process and broke a lawn ornament. They did not bother to mention this. Tom called me to a day before the scheduled court date (yes, I had to sue him) to apologize and "settle the matter", thinking I would be stupid enough to not show up to court. As expected, he never came through with the "check in the mail" and called me 2 days after the court date to claim the check was returned in the mail because he had the wrong address. Obviously he was trying to see if I had gone through with the court date. Seriously, guy?? Are you 10 years old? I now have a lean on his property and will be sending the Sheriff to reposes his property to cover the damage he did. I wish I could video tape it! Total slime. Cannot be trusted. Has changed his business address 4 times in 4 years. That's always a good sign!

This company was a little pricey in my opinion. They guys were nice enough and everything like that. I just felt like I paid a little too much. They didn't speak English though and if you don't watch them, you could get taken from them. They also put stuff on a tarp and tried to dump it up on my hill and they are supposed to take it out of here. I also got mulching done and I have got a lot of weeds. A lot of my plants died too and I didn't get the reimbursement for that. They charge you extra for large branches that come down for the fall clean-ups too, which I thought was strange.

The quality of the work was great, but I was surprised to start seeing it cut 6 times per month, and then after calling both of his numbers to tell him to do it only twice per month, he continued to come as often he wanted and charge me for it. I left him 3+ sets of phone calls (I say sets because he has two phone numbers)& phone calls were either not returned at all or returned 2+ weeks later (when he left me a voice mail saying that he had a change in his secretary and that was the reason for the breakdown in communications). When I sent him a certified letter to tell him to stop cutting my lawn completely I received the letter back unopened. Why would he reject a certified letter, which also contained a check? That just seems strange. Would NOT recommend.

IT TOOK A FEW PHONE CALLS TO PERFECT CUTS TO CONNECT WITH OWNER TOM WARD, BUT HE PROMPTLY CAME OUT AND GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE AND DESCRIBED THE SCOPE OF THE WORK THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE. MY YARD WAS EXTREMELY OVERGROWN. THE SHRUBS HADN'T BEEN TRIMMED IN YEARS, AND NEEDED TO BE CUT BACK SO THE HOUSE COULD BE PAINTED. THE COMPANY ARRIVED WHEN PROMISED AND DID A VERY THROUGH JOB. THE CREW WAS EXTREMELY HARD WORKING. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE NEEDING LAWN CARE AND/OR LANDSCAPING.
