Since the boiler was old and needed numerous repairs, we went with Jeff s plan for a new system. He was ready to go as soon as financing was in order and completed the job quickly and efficiently. Jeff was wonderful. Our hot water was having trouble and he was able to come out same day during this time of social distancing. He was very professional, wore gloves, and took all necessary precautions to keep himself, and our family safe. He asked us to leave the basement door open, and he'd leave the invoice on our washer in the basement and he called when he had left. We left him a check in our mailbox and our problems were solved and Jeff was on his way. Thank you again - we can't imagine this quarantine without hot water!

This is a new "relationship," so I'll update as things evolve. We're monitoring a situation and I have a replacement job in my near future. So far, so good, I'd say. Jeff is very responsive and prompt, seems to really know his stuff and explains things well without "mansplaining." I appreciated that he took time to think things through and ultimately settled on not tackling something that could potentially create a bigger problem. He talked through and answered questions, told me what to watch for and provided options and rough estimates for planning to address the issue thoroughly in the spring. Several thousand dollars less than what I was quoted by another company I'd used previously (and repeatedly felt ripped off by)! It's important to feel that you can trust someone to do right by you when caring for such a major system in your home. UPDATE: when I was ready to replace my boiler, I didn't hesitate to go with Jeff and crew for the job. The quote was fair and I trusted him and his team for such a big investment in my home. The system that was installed is practically a work of art! They even tucked the new water heater around the corner from the original spot, creating more space in the main walkway area of the basement. They were communicative, prompt and cleaned up after themselves. It's been 3 months and the new system seems to be working beautifully. Looking forward to seeing how it performs and saves on heating costs during the colder months. I'll keep calling Griffin Heating & Plumbing for all of my needs.

J. Griffin was amazing! I was in what I thought was an emergency situation and they were in my house within an hour of my panicked call! Turns out it was not an emergency, but they knew the problem within minutes of arriving. They were pleasant and friendly and didnt talk down to me at all, even though it was operator error that caused the issue! They were EXTREMELY reasonable with their rate, I simply cant say enough good about J. Griffin. They are a small family business, please don't hesitate to call this company.

He was only person I called who accommodated my work schedule which was great. He was thorough, performed work in very timely manner, did exactly what we discussed and for the agreed upon price. Great guy, very knowledgeable and delivers what he promises. I wanted to replace three boilers that showed severe carbon build-up on the units. Jeff explained the carbon build-up was do to lack of make up air being delivered to the space. Even through I had duct work bringing fresh air into the space it was not sufficient. Jeff recommended high-efficiency combo heater / water units with direct vents and introduced me to MassSave for 0% loan and rebates for each unit. I had a difficult situation with a multi-family home trying to replace three boilers and three water heaters simultaneously with cold weather starting to settle in and occupied units. Obviously I didn't want to leave my tenants without heat or hot water. Jeff formulated a plan that would minimize the down time I would be without both, he work diligently to execute that plan and he delivered as promised. In addition he was extremely helpful coordinating with National Grid to ensure they did their part and didn't cause any delays. If your looking for a heating contractor with integrity, is knowledgeable, listens to your concerns, explains what he's doing and why, and delivers on his promises, look no further than Jeff Griffin.

Jeff removed the old boiler and installed the new one in a day and a half. Had the heat up and running.

I had a 5 month old child during the week that they were upgrading my heating system. While they were working, they were cautious to not scare my son while he was awake and not to wake him during his naps. There are many plumbers that can do the work you might need but few will have the patience Jeff displayed. During the initial walk through, he quoted me a price on the job and rather than pressure me into hiring him, he suggested that I get a few more companies to price the job as well. This is a pop and son company and they are fully invested so they truly value their customers.
