Humberto is the best! He and his crew are reliable, careful, knowledgeable, and professional. They always clean up afterwards and are careful not to get paint chips (from power washing) or paint drips in the soil of my garden. I've hired him twice to paint the outside of my half of a duplex. My neighbor in the other half went in with me this time. A third neighbor who saw the work decided to have their freestanding house painted as well. A beautiful job all around. Humberto is also honest and forthright about the costs and doesn't go over.

Humberto and his team were terrific! They refinished the walls in 3 rooms of our house and their work was top notch. They removed wallpaper, sanded, plastered and painted our walls so that now they look pristine. I asked them if they could put in new doors and they did a great job with that too. I would refer this team to friends and family and will be using them again for other projects.

They do excellent work and are very careful to pay attention to detail. The colors are even and the work lasts a long time. I have used HS painting for both my home and office.

Wallpaper removal = A; plastering = A-; painting: C+. We were disappointed in the overall experience. They were kind enough and their wallpaper removal and plastering was great, really solid—but on the final day, they rushed with the painting to get it done on the original time frame, and while one room was top notch, another was above average, and the bathroom was very sloppy. There was wall paint on our bathroom tiles, vanity, and shower; unsanded/unsmoothed plaster chunks that were just painted right over and were unsightly and lumpy; peeling caulking; parts where the paint was crooked or misaligned with baseboards; paint dribbles on floor and utensils on counter; and they did a poor job cleaning up, with plaster dust everywhere, paint to be cleaned up in the bathroom, and paint and plaster dust in, on, and around our cabinets. One of the crew members’ painting skills was just rushed and poor and it detracted from the others’ skills. By the time the job was over they rushed to get out of the house and did not carefully complete a walkthrough.

Humberto and his crew were very professional and did a fantastic job and were at least 20% cheaper than the other bids I got. Highly recommend them.

Humberto and his team were extremely professional. We were living in the house while this was going on, and he was very accommodating with scheduling the start date, and doing the work in phases so we could move out of some rooms and then back in as the job progressed. His team showed up on time every day and left the house clean every night. The work is exceptional and finished on schedule. I am extremely happy with my experience.

Humberto and his crew did a phenomenal job plastering, painting, and installing trim. I have done a lot of work in 2 different homes, 1 multi family, and worked with many contractors. Humberto is straightforward, honest, and requested my feedback throughout. Will definitely hire again.

We couldn’t have had a better experience. From the start...even before we made a decision to hire HS plastering and painting, Humberto gave us a detailed quote and answered all of our questions. He was punctual and professional and he made sure all our questions were answered. We wanted to have the painting done before the holidays and he made sure our schedule was honored. When it came time for the work to start, all of the workers were as respectful to my home as Humberto was. Every inch of my flooring and furnishings were protected and when they were finished at the end of the day, their materials were neatly stored in the designated area In my garage. In addition they made certain we had access to our kitchen area so we had coffee in the morning. The work was impeccable. Attention to detail and ensuring my home was clean each night ensured the experience was something I would recommend. My home is beautiful and when they left there was no dust anywhere in my home. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them

Humberto and his crew were phenomenal to work with. He is incredibly patient and respectful and has a detailed eye. I had a difficult time choosing my paint color and Humberto took the time out of his day to help me for several hours and recommended a color consultant who selected the final color. Not once did Humberto get frustrated or rush the process. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND working with Humberto and his crew - you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful. Scheduling was easy. Humberto is very accommodating. The prep work was perfect, therefore the final product was gorgeous. I find Humberto and his team to be polite, respectful and honest. The house was kept clean and protected. They arrived on time and did exactly what they said they would do. I hired them a couple years ago and they are still the same - TERRIFIC!

He answers all text pages and phone calls almost immediately and tries very hard to please. He knows his materials and went with high quality supplies. We have used Humberto before and he did not disappoint. We chose to have the work done in two parts and Humberto was completely accommodating. Humberto always came over on time, did a professional job, and charged a fair price. Also we had a couple of additional minor items that needed fixing and Humberto did those with no charge. Humberto is a very personable man and we would definitely use him again.

Although he had other projects underway, they managed to fit my work in a reasonable time frame. They cleaned up each day after they finished their work.

My wife and I recently bought our first house; built in 1852 it was desperately in need of some tender love and care and as first time buyers, we were eager to make it “our” home. The dining room, living room, and 2nd bedroom were all covered in wallpaper from a bygone era and the plastered ceilings were cracking in various spots. We hired Humberto and company after already speaking to a few other contractors, his friendly demeanor and knowledge in this area left us confident that he would do a good job. Imagine our surprise when the amount he quoted us was also significantly cheaper than other contractors we spoke to. The list of things that HS Plastering and Painting did for us include the usual suspects: removing wallpaper, restoring damaged walls, and of course prepping them and painting them. They also fixed our cracked ceilings as well as a section in the pantry that previously had water damage. In addition they stuccoed three of our closets that were previously dilapidated and did a fantastic job painting our stairwell and entryway. This alone would be enough to earn our recommendation, but what really sets Humberto apart in our experience is that he knows how to communicate with his customers. He was always polite, asked us what time his crew could start on a given day, would let us know how things were progressing, e.g. if a job was taking longer than expected and why. HS Plastering and Painting also worked to accommodate the schedule of other contractors we hired to refinish our floors, who honestly were rather disappointing in comparison. In communicating Humberto was very responsive to email, text and calls. His crew was also extremely friendly and courteous, never starting work earlier than promised and took many precautions to protect our home while they were working there. Lastly, I would like to contrast our experience with HS Plastering and Painting against the company we hired to refinish our floors, who by comparison showed very little respect for our house, unlike Humberto and his men. After the floor company finished, they left our freshly painted walls with black marks, a polyurethane stain, as well as scuff marks on all the baseboard molding in three rooms and the risers on the stairs. Humberto's men redid/fixed all of this, including having to repaint an entire area around the stairwell because touch-ups stuck out like a sore thumb at this point. They did this for a small amount over our initial quote that honestly made me feel like I was taking advantage of them. They did this because they obviously care about their customer's satisfaction and it shows. After they finished our little house was one step closer to being “our” home. I honestly can't recommend them enough. I'm hoping to hire them again in the future when the need arises.

I needed the work complete in 10 days. Humbarto was punctual every step in the process. The work was done on time as discussed. He scrape the ceiling added a bonding compound. When dried he plaster and came back later to prime and paint. The ceilings were smooth and painted professionally. The kitchen wall looked great no more cracks. Humbarto answered all my calls and questions. He explained what he would do and he was here for the whole project. I would hire him again.

Humberto and his team were punctual, thorough, and precise in the work they did at our home. We were finishing a complete renovation and needed the entire home painted - including wall repair. They were there every day and worked seamlessly with the other trades in the house - even though the carpenters ran behind and hardwood floor refinishing needed to be accommodated, H&S made everything run smoothly. The quality of the work has been very good and the team has come back for touch-ups as the project finished. I'd highly recommend using H&S - they were so incredibly professional and and good at keeping us updated.

This was the second time we hired HS Plastering. Again, their work was outstanding: Humberto is honest, thorough, considerate, efficient, responsive, and well-organized.
