We contacted the company and spoke with the secretary, who informed us we would receive a call from her boss later that day. After calling back the next day and being told them same thing, we didn't speak to him for an entire week. The house we're building an addition onto was recently sold to us, so this company had done the survey for the sale. They told us we'd get a discount, but then their quote was still higher than other companies we spoke with. Furthermore, the secretary told us she would send us an email with our quote and information on what we would have to do once we had our addition plans all drawn up, but she never did. After being set back in our addition for a couple weeks, we gave up and contacted another company. In addition, we studied the survey map they did from the sale and it doesn't seem to correlate with the actual layout of the house.

We do apologize for any inconvenience or misunderstanding we may have caused [removed member name]! On 7/13/2013 we conducted a Mortgage Inspection Plan on the property [removed member name] was purchasing. This is NOT a full instrument survey but a basic survey required by lenders when a property is being purchased. [removed family member's name], [removed member name] son, called our office inquiring about the Mortgage Inspection Plan. The Mortgage Inspection Plan did show a possible 'encroachment' of the patio onto the neighboring property. Our office manager explained to [removed member name] that a full instrument survey is recommended whenever a possible encroachment is found. The full instrument survey would give exact locations of the encroachment if indeed there was one. [removed member name] asked us to give him a quote for the survey. Our chief surveyor was working in the field that day and could not give an immediate quote. [removed member name]called the next morning inquiring about the quote. Our office manager told [removed member name] she would call him as soon as she received it from our chief surveyor. [removed member name] said ok. Our office manager called [removed member name] back with a quote and [removed member name] said he would have to check with [removed member name], his mother, since it was not his property and he would get back to us. That was it! We never heard back from [removed member name]. And we never had the opportunity to speak to [removed member name]. Customer service is very important to us!

I contacted New England land survey after I couldn't find any other provider closer to my property in Worcester, MA in Angie's list. I spoke with Ally their secretary. She was courteous and professional. I exchanged emails with her and George as I wanted the quote for me and my neighbor together. We are planning to put up a fence in the back yard and George from New England Land survey came and answered all my questions. George worked fast and was finished in 2 days. Very reasonably price. I would recommend this company to anyone needing a land/plot survey and I will use them in the future If I need it.
Description of Work: Land survey of my property and next door neighbor whom I share walls with in a corner lot. Land survey needed to place a fence in our shared backyard.
