South Coast Architecture

Description of Work: The service we were looking for was an Architect to design a plan for a water front property we had just bought in february. We were looking to do structural alterations and were not sure what we could do so we hired South Coast who assured us we could do the plans we had anticipated doing. He assured us he was familiar with waterfront property, there restriction and he works with this type of property all the time. We ended up terminating his services mid second phase because legally we could not do the renovations we wanted. We ended up just doing a remodel because that's all the town would allow. Therefore, an architect would not be needed.. As the professional he should have known this and had he work with the builders I hired and or building department he would have been informed. He seemed to be milking the project for monetary gain. When I terminated his service he became very angry and sarcastic. He even verbally lashed out at the builders I hired. His behavior was unprofessional. He wanted me to pay him in full for work he never completed in the second phase.. Payment plan is 1/3 1/3 1/3 I had already paid him $930.00 for the first phase. Although I never received an itemized bill or any professional plans etc., I was willing to pay him for 1/2 of the second phase however, he prefers to go to court. I would never hire him again nor would I make a recommendation. Working with this company has been a very negative experience.
