When Leonardo came to my home in September, 2013 to reseal our pool deck, he quoted me a price to have the work done. I gave him a check at that time for the work. He told me he'd come back the following Spring/Summer to put the second coat on. He came back in July the following year. At that time, I pointed out to him that the surface of the deck was peeling in areas that he'd already treated. He told me not to worry. It will blend. He then took an addition sum of money from me. We just opened the pool last week and the deck is in terrible condition. I just had a conversation with Leonardo, asking if he could come look at the deck and see if he could do something. He actually tried to blame me for not having the 2 coats put on in the same season. I reminded him that he was the professional and that he did the job as he saw fit. I told him that he'd taken a lot of money from me, and that I'd hoped he'd stand by his work. Again, I asked if he'd come look at the deck. He told me I must be mistaken and that he never did the job. I told him I have the cancelled checks. After a rather heated conversation, he told me he would not fix the work he did, after which I asked him if he'd like me to report him to the Better Business Bureau. He told me - and I quote: "I'm too busy as it is. You'd be doing me a favor."
Description of Work: We had our pool patio deck done by this company when our pool was built about 10 years ago. The owner, Leonardo Botelho, came back to reseal the deck 2 years ago. He suggested adding texture for a non-slip surface, which I agreed was a good idea. He didn't get to my home until September that year - 2 weeks before we were closing the pool for the winter. He said he'd put one coat down then and come back the following summer to put the second coat down. He came back the following July (2014) and put the 2nd coat down. At that time, I pointed out to him that the surface of the deck was peeling in areas that he'd already treated. He told me not to worry. It will blend. We just opened the pool last week and the deck is in terrible condition. I just had a conversation with Leonardo, asking if he could come look at the deck and see if he could do something. First he told me it was too late. I told him that he'd taken a lot of money from me, and that I'd hoped he'd stand by his work. Again, I asked if he'd come look at the deck. He told me I must be mistaken and that he never did the job. I have the cancelled checks. Description of Work: In 2013 the poured two stamped concrete patios and stained. We were very happy with his work ethic and creative mind. His pricing was excellent and very fair. We were a little disappointed with the color but that cannot always be helped but it was blotchy and that was disappointing. On April 19th he came and resealed the concrete and it looks sooo much better. He added stain to fix the blotchiness and that solved the problem.

The owner's name is Leonard Botelho and I've used him in the past. He was a subcontractor to the actual pool company who installed the pool. I've had him continue to come back and do odds and ends as needed. He showed up the next day for the repair work right in the height of pool season, which is highly unusual because typically you have to wait a month or two. He might be the best one to get because he does a number of different things above and beyond home improvement like stamped concrete, asphalt, and masonry
Description of Work: I used Silva Stamped Concrete for stamped concrete repair work around my pool. .
