Loved my experience with HESS AND SON. I was kept informed every step of the way. VERY REASONABLE RATES. My deck came out beautiful. It was a good feeling giving my money to a family business.

My experience with Hess and Son was absolutely phenomenal. Blaine and his crew always showed up when they said they would and did a fantastic job on my deck and accent wall. Communication was great and the work they did was top notch at a reasonable price. I wouldn’t hesitate to call back if I need to have more work done at my home. Five stars all the way.

Proceed with caution using Blaine. He will tell you exactly what you want to hear and follow through on none of it. He makes an excuse for everything. It has been 1.5 years since we had him do our bathroom. Not finished: ceiling insulation never done, light switch replacement never done. we have one switch for multiple lights (needs 2) and now lights are flipping from normal light to blue. Issues since remodel (all within 6 months of job): sink leaking due to no silicone chalking (came back 4x but never figured it out. had to fix myself), tub leaking (had to call a plumber to fix +$300), closet door installed wrong; split door frame (unusable), shower tiles scratched during install; still put them in, shower tile around faucet has cracked, entire tiled floor installed wrong (popping/pinging/cracking), threshold has split. His tile guy came back and said "Oh well it happens". He also promised to fix all issues and now has decided not to answer my calls or texts. Go elsewhere.

Professional and Good work. Able to job done on short notice

I hired Hess and Son to do some interior framing, insulation, and ceiling work on my new woodworking barn. These guys did an outstanding job. I have owned four houses in three states and have used many contractors. These guys are in the top 1%. Blaine and his team were prompt, professional, polite, and did wonderful work. They explained each step of the process so that I was always “in the loop,” made some good suggestions that saved me money, and even through in some “extras” for free that made the finished job nicer. The also coordinated everything with my electrician and garage door installer so that everyone was “singing from the same sheet of music,” which is vital when multiple trades are involved in a project. Long story short is that I highly recommend Hess and Son and am planning to use them for another project in the spring.

1) Contractor abandoned the project. Why? Because I have trusted him and paid him $$6500 cash almost at the end of project. 2) He is not returning my phone call or text messages. 3) He made a big whole in the middle of kitchen area that is not secured and safe, and there is a chance that somebody feel down. 4) stair case that he installed is not safe and one of its step is already broken and I was so close to fell down and injured myself.

We highly recommend Hess and Son. They were responsive in giving us a quote and explaining our remodeling options. Throughout the process they kept in touch and ensured we agreed with each decision made. They were kind and informative. The end bathroom was well crafted and exceeded our expectations.

My home required a new interior ceiling for the main room. Blaine & Team were extremely responsive to my needs, including: all construction debris removal, replacement of "1x" wood and painting of ceiling to match existing ceiling. THANK YOU. I Recommend !!!
