These guys were great from start to finish. They were the first to come out and were very thorough in their assessment of what was needed to be completed on the house prior to their work start. Once that work was completed, they commenced their work giving us regular updates on their progress. It was clear from the outset that these guys were skilled craftsmen and continued to excel throughout the entire process. We are very pleased with the end result and would hire them again for future projects.

We hired Chris to paint the interior of our new house after reading through all these other glowing reviews, and we are so glad we did! He was quickly available to do a walk-through of the house, offering welcomed feedback and suggestions. An invoice was sent later that same day with a very reasonable estimate and he got to work immediately. He worked day and night to finish the job in record time, all while communicating with regular updates, and we are so happy with the results. Chris goes above and beyond, is willing to help out in any way, and even teach us new homeowners a thing or two. We will be keeping him in mind for future work and 20/10 recommend to everyone!

Chris Ortolani responded quickly to my request for a price quote coming to view the home, existing paint conditions and any needed repairs. Chris set a schedule for the work based on his existing contracts and expected weather. Within a week of the planned schedule Chris and his son arrived, commenced needed repairs and completed the entire project in a less than two weeks. They worked continuously except for weather, kept a clean work area and were very responsive to any wishes I had for the job. The house looks great, and Ortolani & Son did a great job. I would hire them again.

The job started with a thorough cleaning of the house, including the interior of the screen porch. The house and trim were painted, according to the colors we selected. They were on time and professional. They kept us up-to-date and gave us daily reports. The house is a two floor colonial with an addition. The work was started when they said they would start. They focused on the job until it was done 5 to 6 days later. They even took the screens off the screen porch so that that railings could be painted on all sides. The price was quite competitive and worth every penny.

Chris took the time to thoroughly evaluate creative solutions to my project and did a great job with the wood staining.

Chris and his son Bob did a great job repairing and painting walls and ceilings in a bunch of rooms in a house that we recently bought. Many of the walls were in pretty bad shape and they made them look great. They really go above and beyond to do great work. Added a lot of trim work after the initial quote at our request at a very reasonable price. They subcontracted with a plasterer and electrician to put up a new ceiling in one room (and take down/put up a chandelier), and they also came back after they'd done their work and we'd then had several floors redone to do touch-ups on all the scuffs and drips that the flooring guys had left. You may be able to find cheaper options but I doubt you can match Chris' quality and workmanship for the price.

The father son team… just great people and hard workers. Above and beyond. I’d hire ‘em again in a second.

Chris and his team did a fantastic job painting my house. He went above what I had expected. He replaced rotted wood, repaired part of my porch flooring and even re-glazed my windows. He used a high quality paint and primer. He explained up front the work he was going to do and the expected time frame that he would be done. As long as the weather cooperated. They came in on time and within budget. I am so pleased with the job his company did, that I will most definitely use them in the future.

Chris and his son did great work, with very high quality, good attention to detail, flexibility, on-time work, and thorough clean-up. He gave a very accurate job and house assessment, and pointed out a few issues and suggestions to take care of prior to starting. He was very responsive, usually same day replies by phone/email. Chris and Bob (Ortolani and Sons) did a SUPERB job. My wife and I have been in our home for 40 years. We don't remember ever being more pleased with any work done by anyone for us over all this time. We not only got a great paint job, with lots of carpentry to put the house in condition to be painted (replacing bad siding, rotted and damaged trim, bad exterior door sill, etc) but we believe we received excellent value. Not only was their work excellent but the whole job process was smooth. Chris and Bob were consummate professionals, finding things that needed doing and doing them without prompting. We felt they went above and beyond. They probably feel they were "just doing what was required" which is one of the things that makes them special. My family was in the painting business. I know how hard my father and grandfather worked to achieve the high the standards they set for themselves and what they did to please their customers. I saw the same level of care, skill, and meticulous attention to detail in the work that Ortolani and Sons did. I can provide lots of examples. If anyone asks Ortolani and Sons for a reference, I will gladly provide it and share some of the specifics behind this rave review. I have already recommended them to friends in both MA and NH.

Chris repsonded to my inquiry promptly.As he looked the job I was impressed by how carefully he looked at the details and made suggestions about how to make the house look especially good. He listened to what I wanted done and gave me an estimate. The company consists of Chris and his son. They cleaned and prepared the house then brush painted the entire house. They were very organized- showed up early each morning and left late afternoon after cleaning up. The whole job took just a few days. My back stairs were in poor shape so I asked Chris if they could rebuild them. Sure! was his reply. Fantastic -focused -skilled work.

Highly recommend! Requested upstairs bedrooms to be re painted and was given a very detailed and honest quote. Older house that had wood paneling and gave us the best options for updating the appearance. The room was dark and we wanted updated lighting and he had a recommended electrician here the next day. Completed the work timely and was prompt everyday. Went above and beyond , replacing a doorknob that needed fixing and replacing all outlet covers without asking. Would 100% hire again!

Great. We are very happy that we found Chris and his son to paint our house. They are pleasant, knowledgeable, efficient, and neat. Chris is prompt in answering emails and shows up on time. This was a challenging paint job. The house needed a lot of carpentry love and Chris gave it. He noticed things we hadn't and repaired them all. He even noticed a patio drainage problem which he knew a fix for. He spoke to us about it and with our go-ahead, fixed it too! He and his son are very detail oriented, steady and efficient workers. The house looks terrific! We have lots of gardens around the house and Chris was careful to assure the plants were protected from paint flakes and drips. Our experience exceeded our expectations. We are very happy customers.

Great! I needed a side door replaced since it was rotting away and letting in too much cold. I contacted them on Angie's List and Chris called me later that evening. We set up a time to check it out and he came quickly and on time. It was still winter and he advised to not replace the door and wait until it warmed up due to things expanding and contracting and glue and all that kind of stuff cold weather could affect. I really appreciated that and it showed me he wanted to do the job right. I was slow to reach back out to him but whenever I did, he responded quickly. Eventually we set a date in the fall and he came on time. I did get another quote from a guy on Facebook in the summer and he was $100 more! I ordered and paid for the door at Home Depot and he picked it up. The door has been installed for a few weeks and I noticed the room is warmer, it opens and closes tight and securely. I'd hire them again for future needs. Thank you!!

The flaking, cracking, peeling paint spoke clearly: it was time to repaint the house. We didn’t dispute the facts. We didn’t welcome the message. We didn’t realize how satisfying the painting project was going to be. When Christopher Ortoloni arrived, he first walked around our house and then rang the bell. Afterwards, all of us walked around the property while Chris addressed fading paint, hardened caulk, and portions of the house that are exposed to more extreme weather cycles. He was careful and precise and offered valuable suggestions on how to preserve the structure. We have lived in our house for more than 40 years. Chris noted that we had kept it up. Once he completed his analysis, we didn’t want any other painter. We were not disappointed. Chris and his son Bob did a wonderful job. His price was fair, and his work was meticulous. We are delighted with the result and will certainly hire Chris again!
