JOHN, WHO I BELIEVE IS THE OWNER, TOLD ME THAT HE COULD SEND SOMEONE OUT, BUT IT MIGHT TAKE A WHILE TO DO THE WORK. WITH HURRICANE KATRINA CAUSING SO MUCH DAMAGE, HE AND MANY OF HIS WORKERS WERE HEADED TO LOUISIANA TO HELP OUT. IF I COULD WAIT A MONTH OR SO, HE'D GIVE ME A GOOD DISCOUNT. OTHERWISE, HE RECOMMENDED FINDING ANOTHER TREE COMPANY (WITH HIS APOLOGIES).

+ -1 morePETER IS GREAT. HE CAME OUT AND CAREFULLY EVALUATED FOUR TREES THAT HAD BEEN SLOWLY BREAKING THEMSELVES IN STORMS, TO SEE IF ANY COULD BE SAVED. UNFORTUNATELY, THERE WAS SUBSTANTIAL PRE-EXISTING DAMAGE, AND/OR AREAS OF ROT IN CRUCIAL PLACES IN ALL THE TREES. HIS PEOPLE CAME IN AND VERY CAREFULLY REMOVED ALL FOUR TREES. THE WHITE PINE WAS A BEAUTIFUL, HEALTHY AND GROWING TREE, BUT AT LESS THAN 6' FROM THE HOUSE, WAS JUST TOO CLOSE FOR SOMETHING THAT WOULD EVENTUALLY MAKE IT TO 60' HIGH OR MORE. THEY ALSO GROUND OUT THAT STUMP. THE TREES THEY CABLED AND THINNED LOOK MUCH BETTER, AND ARE STRONGER AND HEALTHIER WITH DAMAGED BRANCHES GONE, AND THE CROWNS OPENED UP. PLUS THEIR COST WAS SOMEWHAT LESS THAN ANOTHER ESTIMATE I GOT.
Description of Work: REMOVED FOUR SYCAMORE MAPLES FROM SIDE PROPERTY LINE, AND ONE WHITE PINE FROM BEHIND THE HOUSE. THINNED BRANCHES, CABLED ONE NORWAY MAPLE, AND THINNED OUT ANOTHER RED MAPLE.
