It went very well

When I called JC Fence they were defensive at best. They told me they would fix one panel but if I didn't like it they were not coming back. When their representative came I noted the posts that were not horizontally level. He told me it was normal settling, but never made a repair. Note: settling has nothing to do with the horizontal placement and lack of plumb line. Move to 2011. This spring every post was loose, the section that fell in last year was not straight or plumb. A representative came to my home and gave me a proposal with an additional cost! Finally a crew came and struggled to get the panel straight, replaced some crossbars that were termite eaten (upon installation) and left. If this company had not done great installations over the years I would not be as upset but they do know how to install a fence or did. I have to say, please do not hire this company. I see that they have good ratings and that scares me as I look for another fence company. Who can anyone trust these days? Note: as I write this report 3 of the recently secured posts are loose (work was done 2 weeks ago). They are blaming the soil and it was hard for me to get them to understand that the posts they installed 22 years ago were still solid in the same soil? I don't know what happened to this company. Very sad but don't use them unless you have some money to throw away. UPDATE: a year later all the posts are loose. I tried to hire someone else to fix the fence but because it isn't level or squared it has to come down. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE

When I called they came down to measure a few days later. It took about 2 weeks for them to come and put up the fence. The person who put up the fence, Seth, was very professional and precise. I would highly recommend J.C. Fence Co. Very pleased!

Overall just fine. Prices are much higher in New England and I had quite a bit of sticker shock but the workers were professional and worked with our uneven ground.

Origninally slated to take one day, took longer due to the amount of granite to drill for pins. Crew was punctual, professional and efficient. Kept to the original quote despite the additiional work. We have hired them again for another project.

From the estimate to getting the work done it went very well. All the options were clearly spelled out for me, and the job was performed as asked, with no hassle.

The representative was courteous and prompt. He took measurements and wrote up a detailed estimate which he gave me on the spot. Their quote was lowest, but I went with another company because I didn't like the way they dealt with a slope; stepping the fence rather than customizing the bottom, so the top could remain level.

We requested several adjustments as the work progressed and the crew was fine with our changes. Throughout the process the crew asked us how we wanted certain things done. The owner came out one day and oversaw the work and made sure we were happy with how things turned out. We are very happy with this fencing job and we would use J.C. Fence again. Our two neighbors used them and are also happy with their fences. We decided to use J.C. Fencing because they quoted us the better price than other local fencing companies.
