Al McGregor Fence Co

After calling 4 different companies for an estimate on installing a new fence, I went with Al Mcgregor. After talking with him I felt the most comfortable that I would get what I was looking for with the new fence and for a reasonable price. He struck me as an honest businessman. I gave him the half down required and approximately 10 days later his crew was there first thing in the morning getting the job started. The crew was polite, professional and tidy on/with the job. I would highly recommend this company for anyone looking for quality installs or repairs on fencing. I believe the owner has been in business for 30+ years. Now, in regards to the previous review with a poor grade...disregard. This review sounds as if it’s coming from someone who feels quite entitled, my guess would be based on my own pers business experience that this person probably called numerous times and the owner put up with it as long as he could and 100% did the right thing by saying go to somebody else, I would bet (if there was a delay) it’s because of Covid ... I’m guessing much of the stuff is made in China and with all of the restrictions etc. materials are probably harder to come by or we’re not available at the snap of the reviewer‘s fingers. I think we’ve all experienced situations like this where there’s nothing you can do to please somebody. I had to laugh when I read that review as my experience was completely opposite and the fact that he returned the check w/o holding on to it ..,is a business owner who has integrity but isn’t going to be annoyed by someone. I think we’ve all been there. I do not write many reviews, that is why this review is a late. I just couldn’t let a decent , family run business (Especially in these hard times) not have the truth be told!

Mr. Al Mcgregor gave the estimate in writing.He asked for 50%advance and immedietly we sent a cheque.After we called in to ask when he would start the work he bluntly and rudely answered me that he doesnt want to do business and i can hire someone else and returned the cheque.Indecent person like him i have never come across in my life-time.Not trusworthy and not worth doing business with.

He came out and did what we asked and fixed it so that its a functioning fence and it looks nice.
