An Amazing experience! We had decided to quote out 3 different fence companies, and Colonial Fence came in equal to the other quote, but with superior quality materials! From the fence itself, to the gates, the posts and inserts, we couldn't be happier! From the very start, we enjoyed meeting with Ken Sr. , he took the time to explain everything to us, verbally and showed us all the materials that they use to do the job.........very personable and professional. The foreman on our job, Jeff, did an outstanding job, very friendly, as were Eduardo and the other installer that accompanied Jeff on the first half of the install. I can't say enough about the positive experience......if you need any kind of fencing.HIRE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The process was incredibly easy to follow and the folks we worked with at each step in the process asked great questions and guided us to make good decisions. At the outset, we stopped by the location and walked around looking at all of the options (and there are quite a few). We had a couple of ideas and went in to talk to the gentleman who was available to help us. He asked a couple of questions and drew out what we explained and we showed him a picture of where we planned to put the fence. His experience helped us to quickly decide on the best choice for what we wanted and what would look best. Our first choice, in retrospect, would not have looked as good as what we have. He was very nice in explaining to us why we might want to consider something slightly different and he was absolutely correct. The next step was to have someone come to our home to actually walk the property with us and to put flags down where the posts would go. This gentleman asked questions that we hadn't even thought about: like....where is the septic and leeching field and how deep is it? He encouraged us to check with the engineer who did the "as built" and to have him double check everything to be sure that they would not be digging anywhere that might cause us trouble. As it happened. the flags were in exactly the right spot and the engineer was happy to tell us that we should go forward as planned. As promised, we received a call the night before the installation was to start and the guys showed up on time to start the work. They were polite, professional and worked all day getting the fence and arbor up and looking beautiful. They completely cleaned up after they were done and did not ruin the gardens on either end of the fence, which I was a little worried about. They were obviously careful where they walked and dug and put dirt. From beginning to end, this was a thoroughly positive experience. Several friends and family have come by and walked over to the side yard and absolutely love the addition to our yard and gardens.

I?d like to thank Colonial Fence organization for doing a fine job. From planning to completion, their services were exceptional; the installation team especially was very professional, prompt and self-sufficient, it was obvious they have been doing this for some time. They put a lot of hard work in the installation, including several locations where drilling into solid ledge was necessary, this appeared to be very difficult. I could definitely tell in many instances they took their job very seriously, from making sure the fence was aligned properly to verifying its strength and stability. Finally they cleaned up both the fence and surroundings as if they were never there. I appreciate Colonial team?s exceptional performance and would recommend your products and services to anyone.

I would highly recommend this company. The crew took pride in their work and even worked on a Saturday to get the job done. Customer service was responsive and always professional. Very competitive pricing. Definitely a company I would do business with again!

The job went perfect. The installer, Jason was professional and did top notch work. He addressed all aspects of the install and was very diligent with his time. I felt he went the extra mile to complete the project to m satisfaction. The job was started and completed on time and Ken Jr. kept in contact with me from the beginning on when we could expect the install to happen.

Called for estimate and their assess came out within the week to quote us a price. They do most of their correspondence through e-mail. They sent me the quote, billing, and service contract via e-mail. We accepted because of Angie's list reviews and the price was great compared to the other 4 companies we recieved quotes from. The job was booked for about 1 1/2 months out. We were aware it would be later in the season because it is busy season. They gave us an estimated date and within that 2 week they arrived to do the work. They were professional and finished the job in 1 1/2 days. We love the new fence and would reccomend them to others.

Top quality product with top quality service. Ken Jr was very prompt in responding to my inquiry via Angie's List about installing a screening fence. He recommended to stop by the store to see their products. ken Jr was very responsive on site, provided balanced advice and respected my decision to install a wood fence. Communication via email kept me informed, installation was timely and the quality for he product is outstanding. What a great experience and product all around!

Very professional, one installer was able to complete the fence in 3.5 days. Fence looks great, company consistently followed up before and after fence was installed.

We had an old cedar fence that was over 25 years old that needed replacing. We called a few companies for quotes - Colonial Fence was one of them. They came out to do a quote - arrived on time and were very professional. We received an email with the quote a few days later. They quoted us a couple of different styles and qualities. Their quote for the higher quality fences was less than the other company's quote, which I suspect was for a lesser quality. Not only that, they answered all our questions promptly & followed up where appropriate. They went out of their way to tell us about how the gates should be set up in accordance with current code as we have a pool in our yard. I didn't even have to ask. The other provider never mentioned it. Once we signed the contract we received an email back, letting us know when the work would be scheduled. Right when expected, we got a call the day before as to when they would be starting. The workers who installed our fence arrived on time, were very professional and courteous and neat. They left our yard neat every day when they left and at the end of the job. They answered our questions and worked hard - never in the way but always there to answer any question we had. They even politely answered questions from one of our neighbors.

They were great. Ken Sr. took the time to run through their various fencing options, explaining their manufacturing process and what makes their materials different. He helped pick a style that looked attractive, stayed within our budget, and would add value to the home. We also discussed some problem areas with the previous fence we wanted to address (e.g., areas the dog could escape from due to inclines in the yard). Bob, when he came out to take the measurements, helped with some design questions we had while he was on the property. We deferred to his judgement on a few things since he's done this many more times than we have and that turned out to be the best thing to do. The fence looks great. We also had a date we really wanted to get the fence completed by. They worked with us and managed to hit the date. The installers stuck around late a few days after complications with the installation (hitting a boulder and some bedrock) in order to meet the date. All in all, it was a great process. The fence looks amazing. The company was fantastic to work with. And the price was where we wanted to be. I'm sure we could have gotten a vinyl fence cheaper some place else, but shaving 10% for a lower quality product in something we're hoping will be a long-term fixture of the property didn't seem worth it. It took us a few years to save up, and I'm glad we did, rather than buy a budget fence earlier on.

Our experience was excellent! We have been telling everyone who will listen! The team was always on time, from the initial estimates to follow-up as we waited for our permit to the installation team. There were absolutely no surprises in the process. Kevin provided suggestions and guidance which was very helpful. Our neighbors keep commenting on how great the fence looks. One said yesterday that you "can just tell it is a quality fence".

It went very smoothly, on time and results are great. Our terrain is sloping and installation was challenging, but the crew found solutions for every problem, all done with a smile. The sales person (Kevin) visited during installation and kept in touch by phone. The crew sends pictures of progress to the home office. The company was very flexible and willing to make a change/re-install a panel at different height. The crew foreman (Rick) was extremely skilled and efficient. The other workers (Richie and OJ) were just as good and pleasant.

Ken Sr. And Ken Jr are great. Service was excellent and job price was fair. They were prompt and met all dates they committed to. I would do business with them again.

They were here quickly and did excellent work. The center e looks perfect as though nothing ever happened.

It took a number of phone calls and ultimately threats to contact the BBB and the state to get them to respond, return and clean up the mess and finish the job. Ultimately the job was satisfactory but not great.

They did an excellent job and hauled away the old fencing. They were easy to work with and would recommend them to all.

The quality of materials and the installation team from Colonial Fence were excellent. We compared the fence construction from several local vendors and fount the Colonial Fence to be superior to the others. We also noted the best looking fences in the area and noted that most of these were installed by Colonial. The cost of the Colonial Fence is slightly higher than some of the competition, but those competitors fences seem to sag or loose there straight lines over time. The crew arrived on time, were courteous and diligent in their work and completed the job on the same day. I would recommend Colonial Fence to anyone considering a fence or yard structure installation.

It went very well. I got their name from Angie's List and my husband noticed their name on fences while jogging. I went to their showroom and was able to see their product and get an idea of what I wanted and how it would look. They were very helpful and took the time to explain the process and what constitutes a quality fence and installation. I got one other quote but did not see the product that the vendor would install. I liked the idea of seeing the fences and knowing Colonial has been in business for 40 years. I also get a 2 year workmanship warranty. I believe this is incentive for them to do a quality installation. Ken Jr. was passionate about explaining to me the level of quality of their fence, that they make the fences on site, and that using cement on the vinyl posts is not a good idea. They have the longevity to back up their product and installations. The installers were hard workers, respectful and cleaned up after themselves. The finished job looks beautiful and I was very glad I went with Colonial. I also got a follow up call from Ken Sr. which showed me how they care and are attentive to their clients. Over all I am extremely pleased. I told Ken I will leave his sign up out front of my house for a while.

Project went beyond expectation. Installation was excellent, they did not rip up my yard, were very neat and professional. I would highly recommend Colonial Fencing, Norfolk.

Tremendous experience from the initial meeting with the sales guy who not only gave a quote, but educated me on different things to look for in fencing, new code requirements for fence gates around a pool, and most importantly, what to ask the next guys who were coming to give quotes. I asked those questions but also waited to see if they proactively offered some info that the Colonial guy had told me...by not offering certain info, I felt they either weren't as knowledgable or they were hiding something. We did get 3 quotes. One was VERY low, which set off some red flags and Colonial came in around $300 more than the 2nd of the 3. But because I felt the sales guy had taught me what to look for and made me feel very comfortable with the company's experience and quality of the product, we chose Colonial. It was a decent sized job...fencing in an entire yard around a fence. The cost was about $13K, so that extra $300 wasn't a huge % of the total cost anyway...I'm always going to pay a little extra for quality. My only complaint was that it took a while from when we were ready to go until they were able to get the inventory to start the installation...I think it was about 5-6 weeks. We were going from an older cedar fence to a new vinyl fence. The 3-man installation crew was on time every morning(always starting by 8am) and they worked right through the brutal heat wave of July '13 without a word of complaint. They finished the installation in 5 days and left the yard as clean as they found it. I would not have a fence installed without at least meeting with Colonial and speaking with them about the options they have. I'd HIGHLY recomment them.

I bid the job to a few companies to get an idea of price range. I included Colonial Fence because they provided me with my original fence about 25 years ago and I recall being very happy with their work and their product. I spent time on the phone with Ken discussing what I wanted and got a lot of good input from him on options and things I should be paying attention to. We then arranged to have them come out and measure for a quote. Ed came out at exactly the time he said he would, measured everything up and I got a quote that evening. Their price was right in line with the competitors and their responsiveness in the early process far exceeded the competition so I decided to go with Colonial Fence. I also needed the fence installed at a specific time in order to accommodate another contractor at the house and a pending graduation. They showed up on the day they said they would, did an outstanding job and finished up exactly when they said they would. We are really happy with the product and installation quality. Finally, and most importantly, they actually care what I think about their work. There's a reason why these guys are still around after the building recession of the past 6 years. They do what they say they'll do.

All I can say is that we are very happy with Colonial Fence Co.,Inc From the first meeting with them to the last.
