+ -1 moreThey came to the property, sent me a written proposal, I signed it, we scheduled a date, they never showed. I speak to them a couple times a month, they keep pushing the date, and after 9 months, I give up. Need to start from scratch and find someone else. How do they possibly rate a B on your system after the reviews they have received??
Description of Work: Repeatedly pushed the start date of the job, never showed up. We had to start at square one and find another contractor which put us months behind.

Description of Work: Called on Friday before the big weekend storm to schedule him to remove the snow from my roof. He said he'd come on Monday but didn't. Then the office called Tuesday morning to say he'd come that day but he didn't. They called again Wednesday to say he was coming but he didn't. When I called on Thursday they said I wasn't even on his list... just a simple "sorry but NO effort to make it right. Amazingly poor customer service. I lost 4 days in which I could have hired someone else.

+ -1 moreI had two bids on this roofing job: replace 2 slates on the top of the roof (so easy to install end-of-the-run shingles), and replace about 6 feet of copper ridge cap. Duffy gave me an estimate of $725 which seemed high, so I asked Dutelle. $2190. It took Duffy less than 1/2 hour to complete the work with two men. I conclude: both are rip-offs, but Dutelle gave by far the most outrageous estimate I've experienced in 30 years of home ownership.
