We had extensive work done by Marcello and his crews. They added a master bath, renovated a guest bath, added a back door and stairs, some new windows, opened up the kitchen and refinished the large basement. All the work was done within budget and of high quality. We highly recommend this company

I highly recommend Marcellos Builders and Design without reservation. My garage had to be demolished and rebuilt on the same footprint. Marcello’s work was perfect from start to finish. Marcello was meticulous in making sure all the measurements were correct. He oversaw the building of the new foundation consistent with the current building codes for the City of Newton. His carpenters who did the framing are the very best out there...doing such excellent work without taking any breaks, and their pride in their finished work, my new garage, was wonderful to behold. The siding and the painting were also great..careful, meticulous, two coats of paint, all looking just great!! I should also add that Marcellos has a great sense of design. He was helpful in picking out the right size windows. I look forward to having Marcellos Design and Builders do more renovations to this wonderful 1890 Victorian home. He is delightful to work with and follows through on all aspects of the project at hand. I am so glad to have found such a great contractor! I highly recommend him and his company!

The whole process of engagement went well. I would call them 1st as it was obvious they wanted to make sure they served me well.

The siding and windows look great! They also replaced the shutters and painted the garage door . I am very pleased and definitely recommend Marcellos

It was a pleasure meeting and working with Marcello. He responded to my message almost immediately, very quickly came out to meet with me and assess what work was needed, and then provided an estimate for the work within 24 hours. Because the damage to our deck came from a storm, Marcello then worked seamlessly with our insurance company to explain to them the work needed and the cost of repairs. Marcello was responsive, professional, prompt, and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend him!

Marcellos was everything you would want in a contractor. Crew showed up on time every day weather permitting. Pointed out everything that needed repair.. even things I hadn't noticed and guided me through his repairs and progress each day. Crew was meticulous in every detail of carpentry and painting. Frequently walked me around the house to make sure all work was to my satisfaction. Extremely pleased and would highly recommend!

We had Marcellos come out to give us a quote and he was very professional, calm and reassuring. He asked appropriate questions and gave suggestions to maximize our investment. He had recommendations for dealing with our furniture while construction was taking place. When we got the quote he answered our questions promptly and made adjustments based on our changing interests. We haven't decided yet how much work to have done but we are planning to go with Marcellos once we finalize our budget. It's important to us to work with someone that we would welcome into our home under any circumstances and Marcellos relayed that level of confidence, communication and trustworthiness.

Marcellos was prompt for our 1st meeting and responded professionally w/a plan of action when discussing my renovation needs. He was the only GC company that asked for documents needed to be considered when a contractor is to provide a detailed and complete estimate, before our 1st meeting. I had a remodeling project at my properties and while I ultimately didn't choose Marcellos due to timing and availability conflicts, I nonetheless appreciated Marcellos professionalism and detailed proposals. If the opportunity arises in the future to work with Marcellos, I would definitely enjoy that. Marcellos is very helpful in explaining the details of the projects and in offering options available. We had Marcellos come out to look at our basement project and provide an estimate. We were thoroughly impressed with the professionalism and guidance that Marcellos provided. He was on time for the appointment (actually drove through a snow storm to keep the appointment) and was timely with the quote he provided to us. He followed-up appropriately to check in if we had any questions and just overall was a pleasure to deal with. I'd highly recommend him for home renovation projects.

Beautiful work Marcellos crew does excellent work and are always professional and they care about their customers . He added a beautiful four season sunroom on the back of my house. Prices are fair and work is exceptional

Marcello was responsive and able to work quickly for a fair price.

Took 6 weeks was supposed to take 2. Didn’t know how to tile penny rounds correctly. Promised it would be fine when grouted—-it wasn’t . Grouting doesn’t hide bad tile work. They cracked the original marble threshold and didn’t let me know. They promised to redo it and they were paid. Nearly 5 months of excuses later and it’s not done and honestly we don’t want them back in out home at this point. Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this company.

beautiful work, the marble subway tile is very pretty and the design and work on the mantel and lower cabinets superb This is the third project they have completed for me and all three are more than I expected. Marcello is an artist.

Marcello's company did and excellent job. We are now enjoying a full den with beautiful floors, a big office and a full bath. The laundry room is great with new sink and washer and dryer. They added wrought iron railings for the front steps, repaired the brickwork and added blue stone for steps and porch. The painters did an excellent job inside and out. All of the workers were polite and professional. They went above and beyond what was expected. I highly recommend them.

He gave an estimate for me but I ended up not using him. They returned my phone call and were very, very prompt.

Went very well, this is the second time we've used Marcello's Renovations. There were a couple of days when work was to be done and wasn't (usually for a specific reason and I was always told), but most days workers came when scheduled and the timeline wasn't affected. Work is very high quality and everything got done as I expected/directed. Very clean, thorough work; all subcontractors were top notch, and very friendly and respectful.

Marcello and his crew did a great job and were a pleasure to work with. They listened to all our suggestions, offered improved ideas when possible, and executed our project beautifully. They removed walls to open up our kitchen and main living area. This area was demolished down to the studs and reconstructed beautifully and to our specifications. Not all of the new cabinets came in the right size, but Marcello's crew made it all come together seamlessly. Our wood floor was refinished and additional wood added in the new kitchen. The transition is undetectable. We also had a new deck installed along with french doors. Marcello offered helpful suggestions for decking material and door styles. Our deck needed deep footings for added stability and the building inspector was very cautious. This resulted in the footing being dug and poured 3 times. Marcello's crew were terrific and completed the work repeatedly without complaint. We are very pleased with our finished project. The workers' attention to detail was second to none in every aspect of our job. Everyone was pleasant, professional and meticulous.
