Description of Work: My house is a Victorian with a very large window seat in the living room. The cushion was original to the house and had been recovered once (about 25 years ago) since we've owned the house. It was definitely time! Crimson (Lucy) was extremely helpful in assisting with selecting fabric, came to the house to measure, made a new cushion (the old one couldn't be used), and delivered the finished new cushion, which fits perfectly and looks beautiful.

Description of Work: they re-upholstered 2 chairs. Was okay but the 2 slipper chairs have 2 buttons near the top- the buttons do not line up between the chairs and they sit next to each other and it is very obvious that the buttons are not at the same eye level

Description of Work: We had living room furniture reupholstered. We debated purchasing new vs reupholstering. I found Crimson on line. It had comments that I thought were contrived because they were over the top positive. I can now attest that they deserve the highest ratings! Lucy is incredibly helpful w fabric selection and sorting through cost options to the point of suggesting a less costly store to purchase the fabric! The workmanship is very high level. They are very customer oriented. I highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: I had a cushion to re-upholster. It was hard to find the place and it doesn't look like they're open to retail customers. The parking lot is full of pot holes and hard to park. You go in via some wooden steps and enter a large workshop where people are tooling around and working. No reception desk. You feel a little out of place and not particularly welcome. Other than that, the cushion was done right with some fabric I picked there (not a whole lot of choice). I had to call to find out if it was finished and the individual who answered me was flippant and rude. The boss who had taken care of me was out and he didn't know when he would be back. He knew nothing about my cushion (for which I had a receipt with a number). I finally got hold of the boss who said I could pick up my cushion anytime. They are closed on weekends and open until 7pm only on Thursdays. The rest of the week they close before I can get to them from work. The price is right and the work done right. But I will not go back. It was too uncomfortable an experience.

Description of Work: They recovered an old upholstered two cushion loveseat in sad shape. Lucy is very responsive, knowledgeable, and helpful. The deliverymen were also pleasant to deal with. The fabric selection is huge. The loveseat was picked up in early November. I was told about 6-8 weeks. Since it was the holidays it took a little longer, but I was not in a hurry. You need to allow enough time for the project. The cost was high, but I believe it is on line with upholstery standards. I am a firm believer of you get what you pay for. THe loveseat turned out beautifully. The craftsmanship is spot on. After delivery, I noticed the cushions had two different feels. One was firm and the other soft. I called about it and took the cushions in. It turns out they were the original cushions on the loveseat. The craftsmen took the soft cushion and firmed it up while I waited. |I would recommend Crimson Upholstery to anyone. I am in the process of having a 60 year old upholstered rocking chair repaired and reupholstered.

Description of Work: Had several pieces reupholstered and cushions and pillows made. They are beyond wonderful to work with and their attention to detail is amazing. I'm very picky and would never hesitate to use them again. They go above and beyond to make their customers happy -- even making a last minute delivery the day before Thanksgiving. Love them!

Description of Work: Crimson Upholstering provided outstanding quality on the upholstering of several custom cushions for three chairs. I supplied the fabric from which they worked to perfectly match patterns as they cut and stitched pieces together. For one chair, Crimson copied the existing four cushions to an exact fit. A Swedish rocking chair's cushions were constructed from pictures of the originals. The third chair, a mission style rocker, required a new drop-in seat which, as in all of their work, was done with expertise. | | |Crimson consultant and decorator, Lucy, is very pleasant person as well as a highly qualified professional as she works with her customers. Description of Work: Lucia "Lucy" came to our house in the early evening, because of our terrible work hours. She listened to what we were trying to do. Old chairs reupholstered , couch etc. She looked at several projects, talked us through not only fabric, but design changes etc. She we very savvy and knowledgable. She is a craft-person. John at the shop is a superb craftsman. They do all their own work. True art. Price was very reasonable. This is the place for real honest furniture restoration.

Description of Work: Reupholstered large couch, two side chairs and two armchairs. They provided great advice, did it on time and at high quality. A small glitch was graciously acknowledged and immediately corrected at no additional costs. I would use their services for any work that I'll have.

Description of Work: They were rated for good quality and they did do a good, however $300 for 2 wicker love seat type cushions was outlandish. We supplied the material, the original foam, and the original cover to use as a pattern.

Description of Work: This was a small job - to recover two seat cushions with new fabric (provided by me) on 2 dining room chairs.

Description of Work: I had two barrel chairs upholstered along with new cushions replaced. They placed micofiber on as a protection to the fabric. The company delivered the chairs to my home.

Description of Work: I needed a few pieces of furniture re-upholstered. I had them make some slip clovers for the seats of my dining room chairs, re-do the fabric on a full size chair, and on a stool. On the slip covers, they added a special Velcro bottom, which allows me to remove them when I want to clean them. On the chair and stool they used a very heavy fabric and outlined them with cording for decoration. In the total price, they included pick-up, delivery, labor, and fabric.
