Brendan and his crew (very nice, respectful guys) do a GREAT job. They work quickly and accurately (putting in 10 hour days, usually) and you come out with a high quality product. I have great confidence in Brendan's work and look forward to working with him again in the future. Brendan also works well with other subs. He brought in reputable people for the trades I didn't have (HVAC & roofing) and worked well with my electrician, plumber, painter.

Very well. He started slightly later than I expected, but kept in contact, returned calls. And most of all, he coordinated with my painter (Abe Schickel & Co), which is what I cared about most. (Abe has worked with them before and suggested Brendan as someone I could get any prep carpentry done by) Brendan even pointed out some potential issues with the dormers rotting, which I'd never noticed--his walkthrough prior to quoting was as complete as the the actual repair; he noted the poor quality of a prior repair, and explained what to watch for, but also noted that it wasn't likely to be an issue for a long time, so suggested not doing anything about it at this time. They cleaned up well, never knew they were there based on that! I'd use them again, definitely.

Brendan did many things that most contractors do not 1. He responded quickly to my call for an estimate. 2. He showed up when he said he would. 3. His team did the work as promised. 4. When I had some concerns about the work, he let me delay final payment until the issues were resolved to my satisfaction.

He is always quick to respond and is very professional and does excellent work.

Went very well. Work was done quickly and well, and they coordinated with the painter to make sure the repairs were done as needed before painting.

They were fair to good. We had to call them back because they missed a board. It seemed like supervision was lacking.

I called Brendan Morrissey and asked him to check the house and give me an estimate. Brendan returned my call promptly and set up a meeting. He was very knowledgeable and gave me good advice. He scheduled the work as soon as possible so that the painters could start their work after he finished the carpentry repairs. The workers arrived early and diligently did the necessary repairs. They were very courteous and pleasant. When the work was done I noticed one board had not been replaced as stated in the contract. I called Brendan and he came right out and agreed it had to be replaced. The men came back to replace the board and cleaned up all around the house. I was pleased with the final results.

The president came and was very nice - came on time and gave an estimate. He did the work on short notice. The president supervised the two employees and they did a good job.

Brendan was very professional and prompt when giving the estimate and scheduling the work. His team was on time and did a great job of getting the work done. They even cleared out the old leaves in the back yard after replacing the gutter, leaving the area cleaner than it was when they started. All in all we are very happy with Brendan and his team's work.

Brendan responded to my call right away. He came by to look at the problem and suggested running a strip of aluminum under the drip edge of the slate into the gutters. This would completely cover up the junction between the gutters and fascia board and prevent water from entering. He is very polite and helpful. He got the job done right away. It took the workers longer than he expected but he remained cheerful and didn't demand more money. We then asked him if they could repair the soffit boards that were coming down. He wasn't sure if there were rotten boards and had to check underneath. He did not find any so it wasn't such a major job. My only complaint was that the workers weren't that neat; but just talk to Brendan and he will take care of any concern you have.

Brendan was responsive, professional, and knowledgeable. Scheduled a visit to do an estimate promptly, and we had a lot of confidence that he could do the job well. With that confidence came a price we couldn't stomach. We ultimately decided to go with aluminum gutters and chose another contractor after another batch of estimates.

Brendan returned our call quickly. He visited with us and walked the property while we pointed the jobs. He emailed us a quote quickly and responded to some questions about the quote. I tried contacting other contractors but they did not even return my call. I thought Brendan's quote was on the high end, but then I researched right here on Angie's list for similar jobs and Brendan seemed to be about right, I guess carpentry is expensive. After we accepted and gave a deposit he scheduled the work with his crew. The work was done quickly in about 2 or 3 days (I cannot remember). I found some minor things that I did not like in the way the new wood column was built and after talking to Brendan he had his crew fix it, it now looks great! Also, one of the panels of the sliding door was scratched during installation and Brendan replaced it with a new one.

At first the front stairs job did not go well, but the job was redone and I am very happy with the result.

I called the company and received a call that same day. The work was completed the following day.

Brendan returned my call immediately, and came out to give an estimate the same day. Unfortunately, because of his workload, complicated by lots of rain this summer, he wasn't able to do the job for some time. He did keep us up to date on timing, and did a great job.

Brendan seems honest and trustworthy. I would call him back for another job.

The owner was very polite, but declined to give a detailed estimate of the work. This led to problems later when we disagreed about what had been asked for. A major problem was the downspout colors. We assumed he would match the existing color; instead, we came home to find white. He finally did replace them with the proper color, but not until we had heard him say "I always use white" several times. We had never had the experience before of a tradesperson just deciding to change the color without checking in first. Even though these problems existed, we felt the quality of the work was good.

Prompt, efficient, and fair pricing. Job well done.

Carpentry was expensive so we decided not to hire him. ($2,925.00)

DID NOT SHOW FOR APPOINTMENT TO PROVIDE ESTIMATE. I CALLED NUMEROUS TIMES, FINALLY GAVE UP.

REASONABLY PRICED & PROFESSIONAL. SHOWED UP RIGHT AWAY AND WORKED FULL DAYS TILL JOB WAS DONE. RETURNED CALLS PROMPTLY. ATTENDED HISTORICAL COMMISSION MEETING TO HELP GET APPROVAL FOR OUR PROJECT, AS WE LIVE IN THE NEWTONVILLE HISTORICAL DISTRICT. I PLAN ON HAVING HIM BACK TO DO SOME FURTHER ROOF WORK.
