Awesome service, effective communication, courteous, very helpful beyond what was expected.

The job went very smoothly, both with the office and with the move itself. The movers were terrific. They put in more work, heavier work, and more time than originally expected, but were always cheerful and extremely helpful with my requests. I can't give them enough praise for the job that they did. Also, the price was very good, compared to other estimates I'd gotten.

Marcos and company did such great work, and quickly too. They took care of all the little extras we forgot to do before the big day, and it went so much more smoothly than we could have hoped. Thanks again!

Extremely happy with my move, the movers were wonderful. They were on time quick, efficient, and courteous. This is the second time using Oscar’s Moving Company in the past seven years and they are amazing. The first time was moving a parent out of their home into assisted living. The experience was so great that I turned to them again for my move from one building in the apartment complex to another. Even though the move was approx. 350 ft, they were careful my belongings especially with removing my 65 “TV from the wall and taking apart and re-assembling my adjustable bed. In addition to being skilled at their work, they had good humor and a cheerful outlook throughout. Moving can be hard, but I was never stressed with this team! Their estimate was right on point and there were no hidden costs. I highly recommend Oscar’s Moving Company for your move.

Horrible. The first day was to be the packing day. They finished early because they ran out of paper (because at least one packer used too much). So the next day, they had to finish packing, but most of those guys had NO experience packing. They were there to move stuff that was already packed - except the packing hadn't been finished. We ended up with unlabeled (!) boxes, a box of dishes (thank goodness not my good ones) with NO padding at all. Nothing. Things were packed willy nilly, mixing stuff from random, unrelated rooms. We asked them to put any boxes labeled for the basement in the center of the rooms. They didn't. (Because of this, and the unlabeled mystery boxes, we spent a Saturday after the move opening every single box to find out what the heck was in each one, and moving them to where they should have put them in the first place.) At the end of day 2, there was stuff in our shed, on our deck, and in our bathrooms that did not get packed or moved. We had to call to get the job finished. The moving day was a Tuesday. We had to wait until Friday for them to send a couple of guys to finish up. Our piano was damaged. My husband asked them to dissasemble the futon, as that was how it had been done in prior moves. "This isn't my first rodeo," was the reply. Another person told him that he wouldn't tell my husband how to do HIS job. Well, it ended up damaged. My husband's lathe table, which has multiple drawers with tools laid out neatly in them, was turned on its side, so the tools all bunched up together and made it hard to open the drawers. My brand new $200 bird feeder pole was broken because no one asked how to get it out of the ground. Much of this was communicated to the company in the follow-up questionnaire they sent. No apologies, no offer to compensate, except that we didn't have to pay for the travel for the two-man crew who came to finish things up on Friday. They were a bit more competent, and we tipped them well. I realize with Covid-19, it may be hard to get experienced workers, but the lack of training of many of the crew was disheartening. Moving is stressful, but this was a perfect storm of awful.

Moving is stressful. When you move from a full-size house to a small house in the city, it gets even more stressful. Add to that a pandemic and a lockdown and you have LOTS of stress. But we needn't have worried. Tony, and then Alan, kept us apprised of the situation, reassuring us and keeping things on track. On the day of the move, the movers arrived with masks and gloves and respected social distancing requirements. Everyone was friendly and calm and the move went without a hitch. Will use them again for our next move.

Oscar's crew "lost" 2 watches a Rolex and a Movado worth $13,500. Oscar offered to file a $5000 claim with his insurance company for the missing watches. The value is based on used watch prices so I would be out more than half the amount. Fortunately I had the watches serviced a few months earlier so I had descriptions and serial numbers for the police report. Before you move with Oscar's get your valuables appraised, take pictures, save description and serial numbers! I filled a report with the Wellesley Police Department #20-42-OF. [*** Link removed ***] [*** Link removed ***] If you value honesty and integrity don't do business with Oscar's Moving. It's been over three months since my watches went missing - I've received nothing but an inadequate offer from Oscar. I've hired an attorney who said I could file a claim in Small Claims Court for up to $7500 or sue Oscar's for triple damages but that would take years to come to court.

Friendly, professional and easy to deal with.

The move went very well and I was pleased with the service. The service reps were very prompt and thorough in preparing and coordinating the move. The movers were very courteous, friendly,, prompt...and quite careful with my belongings. They even put together my dining room table and headboard in the bedroom. I would definitely use them again if I have a need in the future. NOTE: I moved out of my home Oct. 19, then did not move into the new place until Oct. 22. The cost included three nights of storage on the moving truck.

The crew worked like a well-oiled machine. They arrived on time and loaded everything in their truck faster than expected. Everything seemed to be well packed and padded to prevent any travel damage. The unloading went just as smoothly. Their fee was actually a little lower than their initial estimate. I would recommend Oscar's Moving Co. for this type of job and would have no hesitation in contracting with them again.

Everything was great! They were on time, estimate was actually higher than we had to pay. Movers were friendly, willing to move things where we asked. Overall great experience.

The team who came in were excellent and hard-working. What was disappointing (and a hard lesson learned on my part) was the estimate was WAY-OFF, the cost was almost double what was quoted, due to delays with the distance from truck parking to the apartment and other challenges. Nonetheless, I rank the team high because anything they could do to make the move effective - they DID do, and I was grateful. Just get your quote in person.

I had used Oscar's Moving Co. in the past and knew that I could count on them to be punctual and respectful of my belongings. Once again, Oscar's did not disappoint! My daughter was moving into her first apartment, and she was taking with her some furniture from her bedroom at home, as well as furniture and boxes from our storage facility. Allan T. was very helpful in providing an estimate and setting up the moving date, e.g. because we would pay the movers by the hour, it was not a problem for them to pick up from two locations. Danielo and his team (2 other guys) were beyond awesome. They were super in all ways -- they arrived on the earlier side of the time frame we were given, they were careful with my daughter's stuff, they responded with a smile to the couple of requests we made, and they were really nice people. Best of all, they worked so diligently that the total cost of the move came in under estimate! Moving can be stressful, but Oscar's Moving Co. made it much less so!

I hired Oscar's as the lowest cost provider among three estimates I received for our move, and I consider they provided excellent value. They did a very careful job on the move. They wrap up all furniture very thoroughly in moving quilts for protection. We also had one of their workers pack up the contents of our kitchen (except the refrigerator and freezer contents, that we moved ourselves). They were quite willing to take over other packing as well; I asked for help putting my rather bulky printer-FAX-copier back into its original, snug box, and they offloaded that task from me. Only the foreman was proficient in English, but everything arrived here, undamaged and placed as directed. They definitely put in a strenuous day of work, 8 1/2 hours, taking only a short break at midday. (It was a short distance move so they didn't get much of a respite while driving to the destination). They were more than willing to make an extra stop nearby (notified in advance, of course) to pick up an additional bed. Their bill, as calculated for actual hours and packing materials used, was right in line with their quote; (would have gone over but we had packed a great many boxes of books, etc. on our own in wine boxes from liquor stores, that saved on box charges). I'll alert you that Oscar's urges you to tip their workers 10-15% of the total bill. I may be naive not to have thought about tipping - but my impression is most home service providers don't count on tips). I was irritated that this expectation was not communicated to me until the very start of the move, when the foreman asked me to confirm and sign the Work Order. (The company has no provision for adding a tip within payment of the total bill (by check), and it was not convenient for me to need to go get cash that day. Since then, I sent feedback to Oscar's management they should make their plea for tips at the time a client signs their contract to lock in a move date. I would give Oscar's an "A" for professionalism except for this issue. Nevertheless, I saw that Oscar's crew deserved 15% tips for the nearly constant lifting and carrying work they performed. I reached a solution with the foreman by giving him a check made out to "cash." The total cost including tips remained less than the next-best estimate.

The team at Oscar's Moving Company was excellent. They arrived on time and worked hard all day to get my move accomplished. They went the extra mile to put things back together even though I didn't have all the right parts. I would absolutely recommend Oscar's Moving Company. They were the only company who came out to my house before the move to see what the scope of the move was and provided an accurate estimate of the costs. Super team, I would use them again for sure.

Oscars was amazing. There were 4 movers and they were all awesome! There were extremely heavy items such as granite tables and other heavy pieces of furniture as well as fragile items and they were careful with my items and careful with the (newly finished) hardwood floors and walls. They were also extremely quick and finished about 2 hours under the estimated time. They were hard working, professional AND friendly. I would recommend them again and again.

The move went well and there was no problem with any of the heavy or bulky items. The team was great and the move was stress free.

This is my second time using Oscar's Moving for a move, and I was very impressed with their services. I mentioned to the owner that I needed boxes, bubble wrap and tape, and he dropped off everything that same evening on his way home so I wouldn't have to stop packing to go to their business, The three moving guys showed up on time, were very professional, detail-oriented and efficient. They were careful to ensure everything was well-padded and wrapped for the move. They took the time to ask me if they didn't know where something needed to be moved. They marked the boxes correctly based on which rooms these would go to in the new house. My team was very experienced, and they worked non-stop except for a quick break. In the future, I would hire Oscar's Moving again.
