Oscar's Moving Co

Oscar's Moving Company was a delight to work with. They arrived when scheduled with 4 movers. Movers understood scope of work as part of the move. All furniture and boxes were loaded into the truck with care. When arriving at new home, they moved quickly organizing and moving all items to correct rooms. They asked questions on any items that were not labeled. The team was very responsive, courteous, and cautious with all of our belongings. Definitely would hire again. Total job was about 7 hours. Moved from 1500 sq ft ranch to 2800 sq ft colonial.

The time frame was 10am-12pm, and they showed up around 10:30am. They also called about 30 mins ahead. All 3 of them are very professional, i watched them lifting and putting furnitures down lightly on to the truck and them in the house. They certainly tried not to leave any marks. Originally we quoted to move 1 mattress, but we decided to take the spare one with us as well. They are flexible about items not in the original quote. Our quote was a 8-hour day, but we ended around 4:30 with all the items (furnitures and over 100 boxes) semi-sorted inside the house. Overall, that's a good experience. Even though the their quote was not the cheapest, I am happy with the service and we also tipped them about 10%.

They packed and moved efficiently, with the right number of workers (5) to complete everything before the end of the day. A couple of breakages I felt were unnecessary, and they did not inform me, just let me discover them for myself. There was a billing issue and a couple other minor problems that were preventable. Overall, they did a good job with a difficult move. Everything they were supposed to move got moved, and the sections NOT to be moved were left alone. I hovered between an A and a B overall rating, and decided on the latter because the few problems I did make note of were not, in my opinion, unavoidable.

Estimate went well, but couldn't go with the price of the move.

I would never use another moving company again. I used Oscar's for my last two moves and both times they were incredible. They took such care wrapping all of my furniture in blankets to protect from dents and scratches. They showed up on time and worked hard. I could not be happier.

The move went very well. My Oscar crew came right on time (courtesy call too, I liked that!). They worked very hard and fast, carefully packing the truck, preparing any item that needed to be wrapped or covered, and placed them with care. The movers were friendly and very professional. They had a great coordination together, very seamless and efficient. When they were moving the items into my new place, they placed the items down with care and removed the trash/wrappings neatly. They listened to my wishes about furniture placement, and offered advice about certain things. Moves can be very very stressful, but Oscar's made it very seamless. Moves are also expensive (my quote was within $40 of what I ended up paying), but Oscar's is competitively priced. They also had a coupon that I applied to the final price. I would, without hesitation, recommend Oscar's Moving Company!

Both times went very well. We had two different crews. The first time we had three men; the second time two. Both crews worked efficiently and carefully and got the job done. We were very pleased that they were able to work on weekends, thus allowing us to manage this task without taking time off of work.

The move had to be timed around my closings, which were staggered. They first picked up the contents of my home a few days before closing, stored in for a week, and then delivered it to my new home about 20 miles away. They also picked up the contents of two 5x10 storage units in Everett and delivered those to my home as well. First let me say that the moving crew - which included Oscar himself - was great. Incredibly nice guys. Professional. Very hard working. But there were some communications issues during the sales process that ended up making the move less than smooth. The sales contact only quoted a single truck, but I ended up needing two trucks. The expectation on my part was that the first moving truck, filled with my stuff from my home, would go to my new home while a second moving trucked picked up the stuff from my storage locker. I left my new home very early to get into the city before traffic and waited for over an hour. I then got a call about 15 minutes before they were to arrive at the storage lockers saying they couldn't fit the stuff from my storage lockers into the truck with my other belongings. They had my things for a week at this point - it should have been apparent that no additional stuff would fit. The truck was almost full when they left my house. Not like things would shrink. At any rate, I had to do an additional 1.5-2 hours of driving so I could make an extra trip for the storage lockers. Not something I wanted to do on moving day. In the end, the moving team itself makes up for the sales mix ups.

We contracted Oscar's moving to move us out of our family home, store our goods for about 1 month, then move our goods to our new condo. The crew of 4 was very efficient on both sides of this move. We had the same crew for the packing and the subsequent move. Both move out and move in days were very hot (90+ degrees). The crew took great care in packaging the items we'd left for them to pack. Having the same crew for the subsequent delivery was great, as they knew our furniture pieces, and were able to anticipate where we wanted them in our new location. Nothing was lost or damaged in this process, which was great.

They got there right on time, which was great. The move out of the apartment went fine. However, the move into my house was awful - they gouged the walls in several places, ripped paint off the walls, dented the ceilings, and didn't apologize or mention anything about the damages. Then when they had finished, they insisted that I had to pay for a minimum of four hours in addition to supplies they used without asking me and travel time to and from the move sites - the total move time (including transportation) took under two hours, so I told them that I would pay for two hours and the supplies. They tried to argue with me, insisting that there was a four-hour minimum, but it didn't say so anywhere in the paperwork so I refused. Overall, I was very unsatisfied with this experience.

Oscar's was responsive, fast, and cheaper than we had budgeted.

Oscar's was prompt, safe, but above all FAST. We could barely keep up with them. They seemed to have everything down to a science.

Oscar's Moving Co was available on short notice for my move. They quoted me at half the cost and were able to do it the weekend that I wanted. The movers were helpful and fast even though it was 90 degrees, the quote was pretty spot on with me only paying $7 over what was quoted.

Very good overall. Everyone was courteous and professional and careful. The one minor thing was that one of the movers was a bit undersize and struggled a bit moving some items. But everyone was nice and easy to deal with overall.

The guys were absolutely wonderful. They couldn't have been more professional and went out of their way to be helpful.

Office staff was extremely unpleasant. Rude about answering insurance questions, and initially said they were unable to deliver packing materials (which they provide at a discount before moving day). When I complained, limited materials were provided. Overall, movers did a good job. A few items could have been better wrapped. A-/B+ for movers, C for office staff

When I first called them, they sounded like everything would be moved smoothly after letting them know what needed to be moved. I put particular emphasis on the items that I knew were fragile and valuable, such as a large base to my bed, that would need to be handled and packaged with care. There is fabric on the base of the bed, it was not wrapped at all and was dragged along the ground. It now has a line of jet black dirt that I haven't been able to get out as well as little pulls and a puncture in the microfiber. I was actively trying to show extra concern as they were moving it up the stairs in my new residence, they disregarded what I said. They didn't have a good hold on this furniture which caused it to be dropped several times and pulled on the ground. They broke the window in the back door. When we inquired what they could do about the shattered window, they told me that I could fix it myself easily. They also tore a door inside the house off of it's hinges. On three different days, I talked to this company confirming the coupon was accepted without printing it out. The day of the move, I brought the coupon up again. They then told my fiance that they couldn't honor it because it wasn't printed out. Bear in mind, they didn't know they could use a loading zone at the end of my street. They told me I could get a parking permit within 24hrs, which it actually takes a week, and was unnecessary because there is a loading zone. They then charged me an hour of labor for moving three chairs and for discussing the parking permit.

This was a big, complicated move, which they handled with excellence. Nothing broken, everything placed properly. Highly recommended.

The quoted price and delivery time was a lot better than the national carriers. Level of pre-sale service was excellent. I asked them to come and quote twice, once near the move date to update the changes to the initial inventory list for more accuracy. Scheduling was exactly as we wanted. The moving crews were professional, punctual, polite and thorough. They arrived on time on both sides of the move. They carefully wrapped and packed our items on to two trucks on Monday arrived Wednesday morning at the new location. They started immediately, unloaded, setup and before leaving asked if we needed anything moved to different locations. No items were damaged or misplaced. They worked very **** ** a very hot NC day without complaint. Thanks to Oscars moving crew, (unfortunately all their names escape me), for making this part of the relocation as painless as it could be made. Would use again.

Very professional, hard working, skilled people. They took very good care of everything. It was amazing how securely they disassembled huge fragile furniture, kept overnight, delivered and put them back together at new location the next day with zero damage. Highly recommended.

They were great! The team showed up on time, the price was very reasonable, the movers were professional and knowledgeable. They unloaded our home and kept our belongings overnight (for a very small fee) in order to move us in the next day. Nothing was broken.

I received a quote from Oscars about three months ahead of our move and I accepted their proposal. We didn't have a definite date as our new house was undergoing extensive renovations. Oscars and I communicated regularly about the date and about a month ahead of time, I gave them a likely date. Two weeks before that date, I called to confirm that same date. The sales rep, Tony, then told me, "We are raising the price 20% because you took so long to give us a date." I objected, saying "You never told me the price would go up if I didn't give you a date by a certain time." He basically said "too bad. Good luck with your move" and hung up on me. I would never recommend a business with this lack of integrity.
