It was a very small job, but I couldn't be happier. It can be difficult to find people happy to do small jobs, but they treated it like any other job. They arrived promptly and got to work. They moved a whole lot of stuff from the basement back into an apartment following renovations. They were professional, efficient and very careful. Thoroughly recommend them.

Spoke with William and described the overall move, he was great to work with. Oscars Moving arrived promptly at agreed upon time, wrapped the larger pieces, packed the van with my many boxes and held it overnight. The passing on my house was the next morning, and later am condo (my purchase) passing. The guys were extremely organized, polite and professional. The 2 day move went without a hitch. Would hire them again in a second.

Prior to the move, Oscar's was great to deal with. William took most of my calls, questions and concerns, and was very patient and informative every time. A live person always answers the phone (once it was actually Oscar). The guys showed up on time both days. They were courteous, friendly, and hard working. They communicated well, checking with me about what I wanted wrapped, where I wanted things put, etc. I graded "B" under professionalism instead of "A" because it seemed more like they were strong hard working guys rather than professional movers, but that may not be fair, I'm not sure. There was nothing negative in the experience and I would hire them again with no doubts whatsoever.

A team of two men removed and replaced the furniture perfectly on both visits well under the two hour minimum required by the company. The men were careful, polite, and very professional. It was a fairly simple job, but well worth the money. I was completely satisfied.

Our smallish new home is full of boxes and furniture, with some complicated stair cases. They dealt with the chaos well, and earned every penny.

It went great. We do not have a lot of nice, expensive furniture, so it was not important to get the most careful movers ever or to have them wrap everything up. We just wanted strong fast people to carry things (and take apart a few pieces of furniture) for as cheaply as possible and this is exactly what we got. We wanted a "do not exceed estimate" from the top rated companies on Angie's List and we got these from four companies and Oscar's was the lowest so we went with them. They were under the do not exceed estimate by about 300 dollars. They were amazingly fast and strong and I was concerned that they were going to exhaust themselves by taking so few breaks, but they didn't. There were also very nice. Very friendly and easy. We would highly recommend, them especially if price and friendliness are high priorities. The only very very slight thing we noticed was that some boxes (that were clearly labeled) were put in the wrong room, and because we had so many darn boxes, it did take a little while to dig them out and figure out where they were. There were a few minor scratches on furniture, and some of the furniture had a little snow and grime on it since it was snowing out, but we had stressed to them that our priority was WORKING FAST in order to save money, and I think that they prioritized that in accordance with our wishes rather than being super-duper careful. Of course, no scratches and dry furniture and all the tape removed would have been nice, but mostly these are just TINY TINY points and we understand you can't offer the lowest price and absolutely perfect work. We were 100% happy with them and would suggest that you use them. Certainly they would have taken the time to wrap our furniture and been ultra careful if we asked them too. We were pleased that they were willing forgo wrapping the furniture, since another company told us that they required furniture to be wrapped and padded, which, in our mind, just added cost. Overall we were very pleased and impressed. They were fast and accommodating and nice.

It went fine. They reassembled the bed, which I didn't expect. The reassembly wasn't perfect, but it was fine. They were on schedule.

Oscars Moving was great. When they arrived we did not have everything packed. We also had a lot more stuff than they had realized. Even though the process took longer than they had expected; they were very patient and resourceful. I would definitely use their services again in the future if needed.

They were on time and flexible. The only issue was they did some damage to our walls. They said they would send someone back to repair the walls the next day, but no one came.

They gave me an estimate that seemed to be in line with the quantity of what we need done. Others say that that seems to be a very good price. I will use them.

The overall experience was excellent. We had 3 men, who were polite, professional, and accommodating. The supervisor was knowledgeable, competent, and a pleasure to work with. They packed almost everything for us, making the experience easy and relatively painless (we paid 109$/hr for 3 men--included time spent packing and unpacking). They followed instructions, used professional packing materials and pads, and nothing was damaged. I probably wouldn't hire them to move really high end expensive items such as expensive antiques, high end furniture, or a grand piano, but for moving regular furniture they are fine and the prices are significantly lower than many other companies. For the price, we were extremely satisfied and would definitely hire them again! I used Gentle Giant before, another excellent and top-rated company, but this time we were looking for lower rates--we probably saved $400-500 for the 9-hr job by going with Oscar's.

I was very pleased with the whole experience. The company wound up sending an extra person at no additional charge. At my request, they wrapped all the furniture in pads and tape, which took extra time, but still they emptied my place in about an hour and 20 min and were on the road. They arrived at the new location within 5 minutes of my arrival and did a great job of putting boxes and furniture where I indicated they should go. After they left, I didn't see any damage nor was anything missing. The men who came were very respectful and helpful, and I'd recommend Oscar's to anyone. My experience with them was great.

The interaction with the office was great. They responded to my request with a quote early the next day. The movers were friendly and efficient. The price was very reasonable for a move that required about three hours just of travel time.

We were very satisfied overall, and find that these guys are a great local find. There was a small mishap with the originally scheduled in-house estimate appointment, but they made up for it by showing up that same evening to give us the estimate. Mistakes happen, as always, but these guys are very responsible about doing what's right. Moving day went very smoothly and these guys worked hard. They were very attentive and did everything we asked. They even came in a little below the estimate. I would definitely recommend them and will hire them again.

It was not a good experience. They tried to meet my needs and schedule me in during a busy schedule, I did appreciate that. They were kind on the phone to deal with but when it came down to showing up on time and doing a professional job they fell short. They got themselves in a crunch and actually asked us to help. They also had difficulty and frustration while calculating the bill.

Picked them because they had the lowest rates (by quite a bit), and were well recommended on Angie's List. Showed up on time around 8:40 am, worked fairly hard loading up the truck, took a lunch break of 45 min (not included in the bill) and then worked really hard unloading. Reasonably careful, no damage occurred during the move. I would not use them for very high end stuff, but would recommend them strongly for everything else; you get a lot for your money.

Movers arrived about 1/2 hour late, which wasn't a huge issue for us. The price was right; we were more than satisfied with that. The primary mover we were working with, Dave, was very on top of things; however, the other 2 guys helping were fair and poor in descending order. One guy seemed as if he was hired off the truck that morning, and didn't even know how to carry boxes, and dropped a few that he was trying to balance on his shoulders!! Luckily, they only contained books. Overall, the things we really valued we wrapped ourselves and they were fine. But there were several pieces that got banged up trying to get up the narrow staircase in our new house. I would say that if you are looking for a cheap move, and you don't have a lot of expensive, fragile stuff, these are your movers. But if you have things you need handled with care, I wouldn't recommend them.

They respond very quickly to our emails. On the day of move, they arrive on time. The 2 movers are very polite and work efficiently. They also handle our stuff with care, cover the fragile big items with bubble wrap and blankets. After loading the truck, there is a 2 hrs "down time" since we have to wait for the keys for the place we move in. Instead of just waiting on the street, they started moving boxes off the truck and to the front of the entrance, making use of the down time (which we are paying for).

All done with no furniture damage. They were able to do the odd requests like swapping the fridges between the two houses, and lugging a very large and heavy work bench up a very narrow set of basement stairs. My biggest problem was that the work took about twice as long as they expected when they gave me a quote. They worked very hard the entire time and I suspect that I was not able to accurately describe the work over the phone when getting quotes.

My interactions with everyone from Oscar's were pleasant and professional. I got an estimate over the phone and hired them because they were approximately. $200 less than other estimates. I was sent a contract with everything spelled out, the prices, times, the number or men, etc. On the day of the move they were expected to arrive between 8 -9 am. At 8:30 am I got a call from Oscar, the owner, and he said they would be 2 hours late due to mechanical trouble with the truck. I wasn't pleased, but he sent over another man (at no additional cost) to help pack the truck so I saved an hour (at $129/hr). The men were very friendly, professional and careful with my things, wrapping all the furniture in blankets and followed all of my directions. When arriving at the new place they were very patient with me while I tried different arrangements with the furniture to see what I liked best. Between the coupon offered to Angie's List members, and the extra man, they came in over $100 less than the estimate. They made moving almost fun!

The 3-man crew arrived on time, worked with my directions, handled the large furniture items that needed to be disassembled and reassembled with no problems, moved the fragile items without breakage, and accomplished the entire job in 3 3/4 hours. From start to finish, they were courteous and professional.

I called and got an estimate, they came and showed up on time, wrapped all furniture and loaded all up on truck. They also assembled and disassembled baby crib and desk and bureau and table.

It went very well. They were very careful with the stuff that they were moving. The came out when they said they would be there. I was very please with them.

Three guys showed up, on-time, as scheduled. They were professionals and very efficient in working together and carrying down the boxes (I had prepacked everything). They completed the job in a half day. I had called several firms and Oscar's moving company also had the best price as well. Definitely recommended.

Excellent service. I called at 8:30 in the morning to get a quote, they called back in less than 15 minutes and arrived at my home within the hour. They quickly and efficiently carried the treadmill from the garage to the overhead loft and placed it exactly where I wanted it. They even carried up some of the smaller parts although I did not ask them to do that. They were professional, prompt, neat, and efficient. They were also fairly priced (less than 1/2 the price of another quote I'd received) and happy to do this small job. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.
