While I do not often write I just had to in this case. I had called Michael Atwell on a Friday for a needed Monday inspection. Michael had come highly recommended to me. Michael showed on time at 10am on the Monday and probably spent upwards of 5 hours delving into and taking the time to explain every item he found, what the fix was, and where other improvements could be beneficial. All this on a BRAND NEW HOUSE!! Mr. Atwell is highly knowledgeable but more important he can bring it to the level that you are at individually. He came me the needed lengthy punch list the next day as I needed to get the contract finalized with the builder, and then quickly followed with the full report. His fee was entirely reasonable as well. In short he brought a level of professionalism and detail to the table that made me and my wife entirely comfortable> Highlight recommend and would use again!!!

I want to highly recommend Michael Atwell for anyone in need of a home inspector. Having gone through the home-buying process three times, I've worked with multiple inspectors, and after my trusted family friend retired, I was anxious about finding someone I could rely on. Michael Atwell exceeded all my expectations. Mike provided my wife and me with the information we needed to make informed decisions. He was easy to work with and thorough in his inspection, but what stood out was his approach. He didn't come with an ego or a "know-it-all" attitude. Instead, he positioned himself as a resource, allowing us to make our own decisions. Mike didn’t let any space go unchecked, which was reassuring to see in person. I was nervous about understanding the report, but Mike made it easy. He provided a brief, easy-to-follow summary and was more than willing to answer any questions, both on-site and over the phone later on. Mike goes above and beyond for your home inspection. He doesn't cut any corners and makes sure you understand everything as you walk through the inspection with him. He makes sure all your questions are answered as best he can and doesn't try to scare you but just tells it like it is. I am very grateful for Mike's service. I added the extra radon test as well for $75.

Michael Atwell is a tremendous home inspector and provided us an excellent service. He went over and above our expectations, showing us nearly everything “under the hood” of our new home. I wish I knew more people buying homes so I could refer them to Mike. He was incredibly thorough and knowledgeable. He made sure we understood each component of the house and he checked in if he sensed we didn't understand something. He continued to be responsive when we had follow-up questions. Mike did a great inspection job for us. He is very knowledgeable and very thorough. We asked lots of questions and he patiently answered them all. We particularly liked how the report identified and described major vs. minor issues. In summary - an A++.
