I found David to be distant and not responsive to the questions I had. His goal seemed to be to get the job done and get out of there. Several times I tried to get questions answered , but he either tried to talk over me or minimize the value of my questions. Even the neutral realtor that was there with me found his quality to be poor and expensive I almost lost the house because, he reported that there was no heating vents in the master bath, After I went back and forth with the seller to fix / explain why they were missing, we discovered that the vents were there all along and simply underneath a throw rug in the master bath. He also missed a taped up light switch in a 2nd bath that was stuck in the off position and the air vent was constantly running. The place he inspected had central vacuuming. He tested the main vacuum in the basement but refuesed to check the connections on the first and 2nd floor, saying thats good enough. I beg to differ with him becasue my experience with vaccuums tells me that right at the vacuum itself can work fine but if you check further up the hoses you can find the suction different becasue of objects stuck in different areas of the hoses. I ended up telling him I'll do your job for you, and went and tested the 4 connections on the other floors of the house. As I expected the suction was slightly less at the other connections but not enough to make a big issue of at the time. He seemed perfectly happy to have me do his job for him. His patronizing of the sellers realtor was so obvious I wanted to throw up. Every time he found a problem that he felt he had to tell me, about he would minimize it if the sellers realtor was within earshot, by saying overall this place is great. He eventually I'd stay clear of this guy. I knew his price was high for a 2 bdrm 2 bath condo that didnt need an external inspection, but he was willing to come the next day, and I m up against time restraints. $500 for the inside of a condo and the basic radon test is really high and for what he did way out of line.

I actually had the owner, David Rossinow, himself perform the inspection. He exceeded my expectations by a large measure. I had some tight time constraints around getting this service done. He was very accommodating as far as scheduling goes and got out to my home early. He was ready to get started the moment I arrived and actually had comments based on the exterior of my home when I got there. Also, two days before the inspection, he placed a radon testing device in the basement, so we had results on the day of the inspection. Mr. Rossinow spent 4 hours and 15 minutes here, and I feel that every minute he was here was well spent. He thoroughly inspected everything, taking time for detailed analysis of the electrical box, heating and a/c, and he even crawled up into the eaves to inspect the area. He took time to answer any question we had as well as explaining what he was looking for and what he was finding. He explained what options we had for remediation of the issues he discovered, instead of just telling us what we needed to do. He also advised on how serious each issue was. I found it very helpful to hear, based on his expertise, the severity of each of the issues. He was able to prioritize them for us – noting which issues could be mitigated with handyman services versus an overhaul performed by specialized contractors. We received a report that evening via email and a final written copy delivered by mail and email the following day. The written report is very detailed, comprehensive, and extremely well-organized. I would give him the highest ratings possible for any contractor. He is the best contractor I have used in the recent past.
Description of Work: I had them do a standard pre-purchase home inspection of a residence.

David was great! He picked up the phone when I called for a quote and gave me a very reasonable estimate immediately. He and his assistant showed up on time and spent about 4 hours inspecting our new house. David was very thorough and explained what he was looking for at every step. He answered all our questions and provided referrals for other service providers. (This is our first house, and we had a lot of questions...) He emailed us our completed report the next day, and we got a hard copy in the mail a couple days later.
Description of Work: Inspected our single-family home, including the detached garage and shed, and set us up with a radon testing kit.

David performed an inspection of a house and a detached garage I am in the process of purchasing. He came out to the house quickly and did a very thorough inspection. He took the time to explain what he was seeing, what the potential issues were and what some remedies may be. His report was thorough and emailed it to me the next day and got a hard copy in the mail the next week. He even emailed me later with some more information regarding proper lighting rod grounding.

It went great both times! I was a first-time home buyer, and David made sure I knew about every little thing on each property. He took his time, and made me feel included. And has continued to be a resource for me after the inspection and supportive through the whole process. I was highly impressed and wanting to recommend him was one of the driving factors behind joining Angie's List. If you need a home inspector, use David.
Description of Work: I hired David to do a home inspection on a condo - which I ended up walking away from, although not due to the results of the home inspection. And I used him for an inspection on my house.
