Barrows Custom Window Treatments

My whole house needed new window treatments.I had Barrows install Pirouette shades with motorization in most of my house and shutters in a large Den with odd-shaped windows.I couldn't be happier! So nice to work with a professional, knowledgeable company.I had one problem with the motorization on one window and it was taken care of the next day. My windows are beautiful!! Thank you to everyone at Barrows for making this a great experience!

Would Highly recommend- The installer was highly knowledgeable on my odd shaped windows. Delighted by the quality of the work from beginning to end. Completely professional. Made an appointment through their website, for which a confirmation was sent to me. Turned up at correct time. No one to meet me. Someone popped out of an office, seeming surprised about my appt. Looked for someone (designer?). Same person reappeared, and I explained what I wanted. Person returned several minutes later saying so-and-so was the person who could help. That person eventually came out, saying they were about to leave but briefly showed me some diagrams and said I could look through the many racks of fabric books, arranged by color. That person then left. I spent another few minutes with the fabric books and left, never seeing another staff member or customer.

Even though Barrows is very close to my house, I hadn't thought of using them until reading the excellent Angie's List reviews. I walked into their store and was greeted by Matt Satter, who was very helpful and knowledgeable. Matt came to our house a few days later to take measurements and then provided us with a quote. I let Matt know that the quote was for an amount higher than we wanted to spend, and he quickly came back with less expensive options. We agreed on a less expensive line from the same manufacturer, and he extended the same percentage discounts reflected in the original quote. Our order came in quite soon, and very competent installers came on time, did a great job and finished the work quickly.

They were quick to respond, very professional and my new shade is beautiful! Will work with them again!

He provided an extraordinary example of how one goes about exceeding customer expectations. He not only took ownership of our problem, he embraced it. He expertly gained access to the battery pack when the shade was stuck in the down position. More importantly, he taught us how to make sure we never again have the same problem. Before his departure, he inquired about any questions/issues we might have with other Hunter Douglas shades in our home. He is a consummate professional who quietly sells the name “Barrows” just by being who he is.

Can't say enough great things about everyone at Barrows, from the sales team, to the installation team, to their support staff. They have a very nice selection of products, and really know the ins and outs of their offerings. The sales team was knowledgeable and patient with our decision making, the installation team had a thoughtful demeanor and incredible attention to detail, and support staff was very responsive to a few last-minute changes we needed to our order. Also notable, they were able to handle a very tough installation situation throughout our home -- very shallow areas for mounting -- to give us an excellent result. Every other company we spoke with said we'd have to do an outside mount, a look which we don't love.

They gave us a superb job. They went to the store and they actually did the ordering. They sent a person to measure and they did it promptly. The order came on time as promised and the guy did his work. It was fabulous.

Fabulous service. Professional and helpful. Took a bit longer than originally estimated for shutters to be completed due to weather-related issue, but they were communicative about the dates and scheduled installation promptly. Shutters look wonderful.

The staff at Barrows is wonderful. The were responsive to my needs, worked around my schedule and came out to measure to windows. The were knowledgable about the products they carry and recommeded blinds that fit my needs. When they came back for installation they were punctual and very professional. They cleaned up prior to leaving and ensured we were set to go. I will definately use Barrows again in the future.

I really liked them. They offered good prices. They were thorough during installation and sure to do all of the proper measuring. They also provide good customer service.

Barrow's made the process very easy. I phoned the shop once and was able to set a convenient time for someone to come by and show me samples and provide an estimate. When George came by, he was well prepared to show me all types of products and efficiently made recommendations and took measurements. He recommended specific blackout shades that would work best for my budget and existing hardware. Two weeks after placing the order, all items were in and the installation work was completed the day after I was notified that the items were in. The installers were courteous and efficient (arriving on time despite a snowstorm). Overall a great experience.

I was really happy with the new window treatments I purchased. They look so lovely in my home. It makes a big difference on what the room looks like with the proper window shades. I feel this company helped me to make the best decisions and I am going to enjoy them for a long time.
