I called Aviksis Plumbing and Shimon was available to come the same day; I was not available for same day service. He called back the next day as promised and we scheduled the visit. He came on time and completed the job in 40 minutes. He's very smart and very professional.

Not very well, as outlined above. In fact, it didn't "go" at all. A total disappointment

We had an outdoor pipe that split over the winter that needed to be repaired before we could turn on our sprinkler system. I called Aviksis Plumbing for an estimate on the work. Shimon arranged to come by later that same day to take a look at the problem and give me an estimate. He texted me later that day to let me know when he would be able to be at the house, and he came right on time. He quickly assessed the problem, let me know what would need to be done to repair it and gave me a quote for the repairs. His estimate was about $100 less than I had been quoted by another plumber (who hadn't bothered to take a look at the problem). I asked when he would be able to do the repair, he had all of the materials with him and was able to do the repairs immediately! I was very happy with how responsive and professional Aviksis Plumbing was, and I would definitely call them again when I need a plumber.

Shimon responded to my call promptly and came out same day. The work was completed professionally. He also attached a shower head that I had bought. Angie's discount applied.

Simon arrived on time and did a great job. I was very happy to have these repairs done satisfactorily and I plan to use him in the future for any plumbing repairs.

Shimon did an excellent, elegant, and professional job installing our new water filter. We called him in the morning of the only weekday we were available (poor planning on our part), and he was able to come the same day, at a super convenient time for us. He looked at what needed to be done, got it right away, and the finished results looks GREAT, nothing is in the way of anything else, all the stuff we need to access is easily accessible to us, and everything is working very well. We would not hesitate for a second to call Shimon again. I gave a B just for pricing because plumber pricing is still a big mystery for me, frankly. It didn't strike me as particularly good or particularly bad. He worked for just over an hour (maybe an hour and 10 or an hour and 15 min), and the official charge was $160, with 20% off for Angie's list membership, with no particular breakdown. I don't know, maybe the charge includes travel time? Maybe the rate is $120/hour? I didn't ask, because, well, this has been my experience with other plumbers too. Just a final number with no breakdown, that seems somehow in the ballpark. It's funny, because every other professional we've had perform a job at the house, the final bill is always broken down with time and materials and unit costs etc., so we have a better sense of what the pay is for - but I've just never seen that with plumbers. Maybe it's just a plumber thing. Maybe it's just the plumbers we've had. (BTW, same is true for the initial estimate - no breakdowns - just a final figure). So, bottom line - I think the price was reasonable, and didn't strike me as outstandingly cheap or outstandingly expensive, hence a B. The actual job and professionalism were absolutely A's, and that's what matters the most in the end, and like I said, we'd call him again in a heartbeat (and maybe ask for a breakdown of the price, just for a helluvit... :)

Shimon was great. I could not have asked for better customer service. Shimon responded to my call promptly during a very busy time due to the extreme cold. He made two trips to my home. The first trip he drained my existing hot water tank which was leaking (and I was going out of town) and then showing up by 8am the day I returned with my replacement tank. He was a pleasure to work with and I really appreciated his responsiveness and professionalism.

Shimon was great. He replaced two water heaters in our condo quickly, professionally, and at a price significantly lower (25% less) than other quotes we received. He arrived on time and wrapped up the job in under a day.

The installation was great. Was flexible with his arrival time as we were coordinating this work with a new countertop installation. Our plumbing is old, and he had to reconfigure the drainage for the dishwasher. Very pleasant to work with, and everything looks and works great. we would definitely use him again.

He coordinated the visit with the tenants and did the work soon after I called and made the arrangements. He showed up as scheduled, completed the work, and I met him there at the end to look over the results and make payment. The old trap and brackets holding the sink were rusty and clogged, and in poor condition, with a slow leak as well. The new sink works fine, with much better draining, and looks very nice. The results were excellent. There was a small problem with a piece of material nicking the tub, which I had reglazed about a year ago. I asked Shimon about it, as I was concerned that it could cause a bigger problem with the tub later. He agreed to return with a person he works with and fix it. He was very responsive about it, so I'm confident he will. The service was very expeditious and professional. He is very pleasant to deal with and explains things in a very helpful way. I would definitely hire him again.

Shimon responded to Angie's List message within 24 hours. Told me the cost. Showed up on the scheduled date. Quickly completed the jobs in a professional manner. Pleasant guy, answered other questions I had about potential issues.

When I originally called he imediately answered and asked me to send him pictures via phone of the pipes in the basement of my very old Charlestown house (as I was having a hard time explaining which ones they were, and he needed to know so that he could bring the correct replacements). He knew exactly what needed replaced and scheduled an apointment at my earliest convenience (I believe within a couple of days, even though none of the work was urgeant). He brought the necessary parts, worked swiftly, and did a great job. Easy as pie. Would definitely recommend him for any plumbing needs.

Shimone was on time, friendly, and professional. He was concerned about making a mess and did his best to clean up after he was done. I'm not sure why he kept my old, broken faucet, and left the new faucet box (filled with trash from the job), but I am hopeful that that means the old faucet might be re-used and won't end up in the landfill. Shimone called to follow up and make sure the faucet was working well. All in all, a very good experience and I would recommend him to anyone who wants kind, clean professionals working in their home.

Prompt service. Arrived at scheduled time, did excellent work, and cleaned everything up. I would definitely contact him again for any plubming needs.

Couldn't be happier. Came over an hour after first contact, inspected, quoted, scheduled time for next day since we were in a hurry with family coming into town. Showed up when promised, was efficient, friendly and neat. What more can I say?

Provider scheduled a visit on the day I called, came on time, had the proper replacement part with him, and did the work within half an hour. He was pleasant, upbeat, and well organized, and left the site in perfect condition.

We had purchased a whole house water filtration system and needed to have it installed by a licensed plumber for the warranty to be valid. Shimon was able to come out a few days later and give us an estimate and then install it a few days later on Friday morning. He was very flexible and fit himself into our busy schedule. Overall the quality of the work was very high, and he also made sure to clean everything up and leave the area looking great. It was a bit rainy that day and he put extra dropcloths down to protect our hardwood floors on the first floor as he went in and out between his truck and the basement. After he finished everything he walked me through what he had done and showed me how to change the filters, shut off individual valves and drains he had built into the system and left me feeling very comfortable with everything he had done. I will definitely hire him again to do any plumbing project I need as he made it a painless process and delivered great results.

We hope to use Aviksas in the future.

We noticed the leak in the morning and called immediately. Mr. Aviksis said he'd get to us between 1:00 and 2:00pm, and he called shortly after 1:00 to ask me to take a picture of the valve unit and send it to him by IM. He arrived about 45 minutes later with the necessary part in hand. It was a nice use of technology to save a trip and some time. The repair seemed to go smoothly, and the shower now works perfectly. The price shown above includes the cost of parts and reflects an Angie's list discount of 20% on labor.

Very nice. Called day in advance to confirm time. Actually came on time and was very polite. Actually explained different options and prices without being condescending . Wife liked very much and said we should use in future plumbing needs

I called Shimon on Tuesday, and he was out the next day. He actually called me that morning to see if he could come a little earlier, which was better for me. When he arrived, we discussed the issue, and I noted that I wasn't sure if the water spot on the wall was old or new, but we agreed to cut out the portion of the drywall to inspect the pipes behind the wall to insure there wasn't an active leak. Ten minutes later, the cut-out was completed, and everything behind the wall was bone-dry. Shimon tested all of the faucets to insure there were no leaking pipes. On his way out, when I asked him what I owed him for the work, he replied 'Don't worry about it.' Shimon is an honest and consummate professional. I will certainly call him for any other plumbing issues that may arise in the future.

He was punctual, courteous, and did work that I am very happy with. I liked him a lot and would recommend him to others.

If you're not hiring Shimon Aviksis you're hiring the wrong guy. He's skilled, reasonably priced, honest, and a pleasure to deal with. Even my kids loved him. One of the best contractors I've hired (for any work) period. A great guy.
