It took him like 10 minutes to do both jobs. After making a temporary repair to the faucet he told me how to reach Delta faucet's customer service, that the part that failed had a lifetime warrantee, and that I should call them and they would ship me a replacement part. I did exactly what he said to do and they are sending a new faucet head. Extremely cool, very professional. Home Depot wanted close to $200 for a replacement unit.

Shimon was fantastic to work with. He was immediately responsive and scheduled a consultation at our convenience. When he came to look at the issue with our outdoor faucet, he even quickly looked at a few other things we were curious about. Very quickly and for no additional charge, he was able to fix a bad clanging in our pipes that had bothered us since we moved into the house! The work was thorough, and we are incredibly pleased with the result. We will absolutely be using Shimon for any future plumbing needs we may have.

We have used Shimon Aviksis from Aviksis Plumbing for two different situations. Last Nov, he replaced a water heater. We called him on Wednesday morning, the day before Thanksgiving. He promptly scheduled an appointment for that afternoon. We were pleased that he could respond so quickly. Within an hour, Shimon called back suggesting that he come instead that morning since he was concerned that a storm expected for the afternoon might prohibit him from getting to us. After texting him a photo of the heater we needed replaced, he arrived with a new heater and had it installed by noon (I think snow started falling shortly after). Our next opportunity to use Aviksis Plumbing was in February of this year for a leaking rinse hose. Over the phone, Shimon provided us with a "work around" while we had the hose on order. The hose arrived Thursday afternoon and Shimon had it installed by 9AM Friday. A really nice guy who efficiently does very good work. While these issues have been annoyances, we now have a great plumber we feel we can rely on.

Shimon did a great job. He had to run new plastic pipes through the basement to connect the sprinkler system. He's easy to work with, extremely responsive and dependable. Scheduled the inspection and finished the work earlier than anticipated. In summary, we will call him again anytime we need a reliable and reasonable plumber.

For plumbing I used Aviksis. They showed up on time and everything was good when they came over. Overall, everything together on the whole it was good.

Shimon did a great job and we will be using him in the future for any of our plumbing needs. We needed to have a gas supply line to our stove rerouted and also wanted the gas shutoff valve replaced. Shimon called before he arrived to let me know he could arrive earlier than planned which I appreciated. He quickly surveyed what needed to be done and listened to all my suggestions and concerns about how I wanted the work done. He made suggestions and we agreed on a plan and he set off to work. Shimon was great to work with and he completed the work quickly. I am very happy with the results.

Shimon was excellent! Came out the same day exactly at the time predicted, despite business with recent snowstorms. When I asked him to return the next day to check on hot water he arrived earlier than expected. Texted before he arrived to let me know he was on his way. Very professional and personable. It's great seeing an owner-operator take such pride in his work and customer service. Will definitely be using him again! Full recommendation.

After finding his name on Angie's List, I called Shimon with a last minute request to hook up a gas stove, since it was unexpectedly delivered without installation by the store I bought it from. He came the same day, and was prompt, efficient, courteous. I noticed that he paid attention to detail and put a lot of effort into getting the new stove exactly level. He was careful of the wood floors when moving around the stoves. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again for future work.

He replaced a shut off to the outside quickly and efficiently.

Our Stove needed a new feed-line. I called Shimon on the Friday before Christmas and he arrived within 2h with the correct repair parts in hand. The installation went very smoothly and now we are baking away for the holidays. Nice job.

Our electric water heater died, and we wanted to replace it with a high efficiency unit (GE Geospring heat pump water heater, which uses ~60% less electricity than conventional electric water heaters). We purchased the unit at Lowes, but the in-house installation was not available for two weeks. (Beware of buying a water heater there if you're in a hurry -- it takes 24-48 hours just to find out how long it will actually take to install.) We called Aviksis plumbing on a Wednesday evening, discussed the job, and Shimon gave an estimate over the phone. He showed up on time on Friday morning, and installed the unit for less than the estimate (as he realized that the job was simpler than he anticipated). The price was very reasonable. The water heater has been running flawlessly for a month. We would definitely call Aviksis for future plumbing needs.

Shimon gave a free estimatse of the cost of the job and the time it would take. He spent some time carefully evaluting the job. He came back after delivery of our new dishwasher. He was on time and conformed in every way to his estimate. He removed the old dishwasher, changed the position of the pipes, and installed the new dishwasher. Changing the position of the pipes was a two hour job. He worked meticulously, non-stop for around four hours. He was carefull not to make a mess and kept his work space clean. He was organized and efficient and demonstrated great skill in his work. Futhermore, he had a friendly demeanor. I have had a lot of experience over a forty year period with various contractors. Shimon was at the very top in the quality of his work and the fair price he charged. Moreover, after the job was done, I asked if he could replace the water control assembly in a toilet. He cheerfully agreed and did that small job as well for no further charge. I would strongly recommend Shimon for large and small plumbing related work.

Shimon arrived punctually in the morning and quickly disconnected the gas from our old oven. Later that day, after the new oven was delivered, he came back and connected the gas to the new oven. Even though we had not discussed doing the water line in advance, he was happy to do that as well. He even worked with me for probably 20 minutes to get the fridge pushed back into the frame in the cabinets because they were not quite aligning properly, which I felt was above and beyond the call of duty. As a testament to the reasonableness of what he charged, when my wife came and saw the bill, she asked where the 2nd invoice was for the rest of the work.

I was prepared to replace entire assembly but Shimon showed me it was only a single component that was the problem. Texted me the price once he got the parts and came right on time, accomodating our schedule. Worked quickly and the repaired faucet looks and works great. I will call him for all our future plumbing needs.

I spoke to a number of plumbers about installing a hot water recirculation line in my Weston home. The project was a bit non-traditional as I already had a recirculation pump and had planned a route for the line that minimized the required drywall damage in the ceiling of my finished basement. Three plumbers came to my home to talk with me and review the requirements. One plumber thought the job was too small for him. Another offered to do the work but backed out a week later when he "got busy". Shimon from Aviksis was the last plumber to whom I spoke. He listened to what I wanted, considered the thought I had already put into the project, and we discussed the best route for the water line. Though he did have to delay the work for a week because of an illness, I had made clear that the work was not urgent so this wasn't a problem. Shimon from Aviksis showed up on the rescheduled day at the time he promised and was well prepared for the task. He worked diligently to complete the job in 6 hours and I was quite happy with the result.I would have no hesitation calling Aviksis for my next plumbing job.

He arrived early in order to be here for the delivery of the dishwasher. He did each job efficiently and all three tasks were completed quickly. He answered phone calls and texts promptly. Will call him again to do work for us in the future.

We wanted to find a plumber near us for some current jobs, plus establish a relationship with a plumber that we could call in the future, especially for emergencies. Angie's list had excellent writeups for Aviksis, and he is only a few miles away in Newton. One thing I really like about Shimon is that he does communication via text whenever possible. This saves everyone time and is a great way to convey measurements, address, etc. It also lets him be very responsive to questions. Shimon did all the work himself. He came out 3 times. The first was to survey our projects and help us figure out what was needed to install a washer/dryer in a new location. The 2nd time was to unclog a kitchen drainpipe. The third was to install faucetts for the washer hookup. We had to coordinate a bit, since he needed washer/dryer dimensions before proceeding. All the work he did appears to be perfect. We are very happy we called him.
