We like them very much. He's fabulous. The work done he has done had been extraordinary. Everything he came to fix he fixed and well. He was on time, pleasant to work with. He knew exactly what he was doing I had no doubts on his expertise. There was no mess. There was only one plumber that came out who happened to be the owner.

Already paid another plumber a lot of money, but the toilet was still not flushing. It was a bit of an emergency situation and Shimon helped out immediately. I texted him a picture and he responded right away, solving the problem,. I was leaving town and he dropped off the correct part in my mail box so I could install it when I returned. Even though I had forgotten to leave him a check he left the part and allowed me to mail him the check as soon as I returned. What an incredibly nice guy.

He was reliable, he was respectful, and knew what he was doing. He fixed the problem, and I just had the feeling he was very solid.

He was punctual and professional. The price was great. Fast worker. I would totally hire him again.

Pete showed up right on time, and diagnosed the issue as a burnt out motor and that I needed a brand new garbage disposal. Pete went right then and there to get me a new disposal and installed it within the hour. I could not believe how quickly he fixed my problem. Would definitely use him again!

Shimon is great. Although, he was busy and had to reschedule the original time of the job from morning to afternoon, he did show up promptly on the agreed time. He was very professional and efficient. He finished in less than 1 hour.

I had a previous plumber replace the pressure relief valve twice. That did not solve our problem, or rather one of my toilet fill valves serve as an alternative pressure relief valve until I put in a new toil fill valve. Then the release of water from the pressure relief valve returned with a vengeance. I called up Shimon Aviksis. We discussed the issue. I had bought a pressure gauge from home depot and we went over the pressure readings; I emailed Mr. Aviksis some pictures at his request. He then stopped by to look at the plumbing and decided it was the Pressure Reducing Valve as the pressure was starting out at 50 psi when the water was running and then climbing up to the outside pressure of 100 psi when the water was turned off and up to 160 psi when the hot water heater was on until the relief valve opened. He ordered a replacement pressure reducing valve (PRV). We put it in an the pressure was 40 psi (where we set) with the faucet open but then pressure was immediately 70 psi - 90 psi when the water was off. The was unexpected and there was still something wrong. We eventually concluded that a possibility was that the new pressure reducing valve was also defective. We conferred with Honeywell, the maker of the PRV and they also thought something might be wrong with the PRV. Mr. Aviksis ordered a replacement and just installed today. The pressure is now the same when the faucet is open as when it is closed. Problem seems to be solved. I really appreciate the thoughtfulness of Mr. Aviksis - we were in constant communication until this complicated issue was solved. I found Mr. Aviksis extremely responsive. We communicated by phone, text message and email as needed. He is also extremely pleasant. Highly recommended. I thank the other reviews on Angie's list for pointing him out.

When water dripped from my upper kitchen cabinet on a Friday morning, I took down the cabinet and couldn't figure out the source. I called Shimon Aviksis, and he was able to come by that day to look the situation over. He ran some tests to try to find the source of the leak, and he gave me advice about further tests I could run. He said he'd be back on Monday to do what he could. We also discussed the wisdom of replacing the bathroom's drum trap with a modern trap while everything was opened up, even if the trap didn't turn out to be what was leaking. We agreed that, over the weekend, I would take down more cabinets and open up the ceiling so I could text him photos of the pipes, which i did. I also ran the tests he mentioned and couldn't make the leak happen again. While I was at work on Monday, Shimon came and replaced the drum trap. Having ruled out other sources of leaks, he suggested issues with the caulk around the bathtub, which I later determined to be correct. The new trap looks good, and Shimon left the kitchen as clean as he found it. I found Shimon easy to communicate with and businesslike, and I appreciate being able to text with him.

I called Shimon and explained what I needed done. I had an old outdoor faucet that needed to be replaced and wanted to add another outdoor faucet to a new location outside of my house. He came out that day to take a look and followed up shortly after with a quote. Once I decided to hire Shimon, he was nice enough to come out again to make sure we were on the same page with the job and placement of the faucet. We scheduled a time ad he showed up promptly. He worked efficiently and cleanly, and made sure the job was done correctly. As an aside, Shimon accidentally cracked my vinyl siding and was very apologetic. He took it upon himself to come back the following day and replaced the cracked siding for me. This was above and beyond and very kind of him. I will absolutely call Shimon again for any of my plumbing needs.

Shimon did a great job. He was on time, responsive, performed all of agreed work without issues and his prices were very competitive. I don't have any complaints and would definitely contact him again for other plumbing work!

Shimon does great work, and exhibits an unusual level of patience and planning. We had purchased a new faucet, and it turned out that the faucet didn’t have the features we needed. We got a new one on the fly. When that one leaked, Shimon called his supplier and got us a better one at a lower price, in a rush. Although he ended up installing the faucet twice, he still honored his original price for the job. He’s a pleasure to work with — good communicator, keeps his promises, and planned the project well so there was no downtime. We’d highly recommend him.

My 4th time using Simone. We have an old office building that had one surprise after another. Simone was recommended by a colleague. Shows up when he said he would, has great problem-solving skills that saves time and money.

He answers the phone directly. He told us that he was busy and couldn't fix on Sunday but told he would come the following day at 8:30a. He showed up on time and confirmed with phone call 5 min earlier. He was extremely professional and his work was fine. We had two other plumbers who "said" they would come and didn't, his professional of actually showing up was REALLY appreciated. We would use his vendor again and recommend without reservation.

The job went extremely well. This plumber knows his trade. Shimon is the first plumber in my thirty years of living in my present house who impressed me with the quality of his work. We wish we had heard of Shimon Aviksis (Aviksis Plumbing) much earlier when we had two bathrooms redone. As it is, Shimon helped us with two relatively major jobs recently and both were performed professionally and at a fair price. We particularly appreciated that he always answered his phone and tried to accommodate our schedule. In the future he will definitely be the first plumber we call.

Mr. Aviksis answered his cell phone when I called to inquire while he was finishing a job in the next town. He finished that job and came over to look at our job within 30 minutes. He quoted a reasonable price and described a good way of doing the plumbing. He set a date to come back to do the work for about 8 days later. He arrived when promised and did the job in the time he estimated and for the price he quoted. He was thoroughly professional. He's also a nice guy and you'll enjoy working with him. The plumbing is very unobtrusive so it was a neat job, as well.
