Steve and his crew changed an ugly, outdated kitchen into a bright, new-looking room. The many cabinet doors and drawer fronts now have a soft white shine with no hint of their knotty pine construction. Whether it was plastering, patching, priming or final coat, the work was done neatly, with little dust. Steve is a good manager. His handling of the business side was fair His team of 3 or 4 workers was respectful of the house, careful and pleasant.

Excellent. He called us when he had time available, scheduled dates for work, and worked on schedule. Responsive to work with, prepared surfaces well, painted carefully and cleaned up every day. Also glued legs on desk and bed frame.

I purchased an Angies List Deal for 4 hours of painting and plastering. Before scheduling the work, Mr. Cooper asked for a description of the work to be done. He offered to include painting the entire kitchen ceiling, since he correctly estimated that repairing and then painting the hole would not take the entire 4 hours. He arrived precisely on time and got right to work. He worked carefully and thoroughly. He did a perfect job. The entire ceiling looks great and you can't tell there was ever a hole or a problem with it. Because he painted the whole ceiling, it's all seamless.

After much confusion caused by ME, and flexibility on Steve's part, we were finally able to set a date for work to be done. He arrived as scheduled, fully prepared for the work I needed done. He also advised me on other work, time needed and &$&. I scheduled are return visit, at which time he installed and miffed additional wallboard. He will be returning I'm April for another two days of work. Steve is extremely conscientious and considerate. I hope to work with him often in the future. His "non-deal" rate is excellent, service and productivity superb

I purchased a Big Deal at $99 for 4 hours of plaster repair. Prior to the appointment, I sent photos of the three areas that needed repair -- two resulted from the work of electricians who added a new outlet in one room and installed a new ceiling fixture in another, leaving holes in the walls and ceiling. There was also extensive repair work on the surface of the chimney in the attic, due to a roofing leak several months earlier. After the flashing around the chimney was repaired, I was ready to have the attic wall and chimney repaired. Steve Cooper did an excellent job on all three repairs. He was very responsive and punctual. He was also very good at explaining the repair options for plaster in an 125 year old house. I would use him again without hesitation.

This was an Angie's special. Steve made an extra effort to contact us and schedule the work around the Christmas holidays. He arrived on time, was considerate of tracking snow into the house, and had all the equipment needed, The repaired area looks great!! When he determined that the repair would not take all the time allotted in the deal I purchased, suggested I find other projects that could benefir from his attention. - which I did. Steve was neat, cleaned up any mess that was made and had all the right tools, A pleasure to work with

I purchased a $99 for 4 hours of painting deal with Steve to help finish a painting project i started a while back but didn't finish. Steve was great to communicate with and was proactive in scheduling the job. Two people came to do the paint job in two hours which was great for our timing. We provided the paint and they provided the labor. The paint job was perfect and without blemishes, which i was worried about as the wall had multiple swatches of darker paint from when we were deciding on the final color. We enjoyed working with him and would definitely reach put again for future jobs.

Steve was prompt, worked quickly, and neatly. He did an excellent job of working around furnishings and keeping things tidy. He gave me a couple of options for how to proceed with the repair, and I felt comfortable with the choices presented. It was an easy experience and I will definitely use him for future projects.

Steve was fantastic. I purchased the Big Deal and he responded right away. The scheduling process was easy, and he was very friendly and accommodating. He showed up on time and did an absolutely fantastic job. Steve was professional and careful the entire time. We would not hesitate at all to use him in the future.

When we contacted Steve, he was able to come over the next day to see our space and give us an estimate. The estimate came promptly by email the next day, which was very convenient. Steve communicated that he would need about a week to start the work due to other jobs he was already doing. He phoned again the day before he planned to start to confirm the time. Steve arrived promptly each of the three days he worked on our property. He was courteous and careful. Each day, he reviewed what he planned to do with me and then showed me progress when he was finished, so I always knew what to expect. Steve took the time to remove old nails and straighten our existing baseboards, and to puzzle them back into place. (The flood remediation guys who had removed them just did it fast and tossed things wherever they landed.) We did not need to buy any new baseboard; every single piece went back in its original location. The paint job looks great and Steve took great care in cleaning up the space when the work was complete. We will hire Steve again when we have other jobs like this.

The kitchen cabinets look brand new! We were thrilled with the work. It saved us tons of money not to have to buy new cabinets. And the antique hutch now has a modern white and gray finish which complements our decor much better. Steve is a careful professional whose work is done in a timely manner and for a fair price. I'm sure there are more projects we'll need him for.

He did a great job! He was kind enough to explain that we could fill the dumpster with other stuff for the time we had it which turned out to be a great side benefit and allowed us to do clean up in the garage and basement by unloading a lot of things we no longer need or use. He arrived when scheduled, was very pleasant to work with and I would definitely use him for other jobs. I thought the price was reasonable as well.

Steve Cooper is fantastic. Everyone in my Book Group uses him for all kinds of projects. For us, we usually accumulate a long list of stuff, and he gets it done. I love that he goes and gets supplies and then just gives us the receipt, no up charge. He is careful, neat, thoughtful, comes up with solutions for things. He doesn't mind dropping by for really small things...we are not handy people. Once you are a customer ,you can call for anything. We've mostly had maintenance type stuff done, or assembling furniture , fixing handles and locks, replacing rotten door jambs. Our friends have had him do more complex woodworking projects which are beautiful. In addition, he is someone you can totally feel comfortable having in your home when you aren't there .

It was an average nuisance while it was being done, but that's what the redecorating process looks like. One ceiling had old calcimine paint, and some bad water damage. It's PERFECT now. The house looks fantastic now. It took two full weeks, usually he had three or four guys working. The work is not inexpensive, but it's worth every cent. It went very smoothly, and Steve is very easy to work with. Responds to questions via e-mail, text, and voice mail. I'd strongly recommend him and would definitely use him again.

He was excellent. He is a thorough professional. The quality of work was excellent. If you have any, "I wonder if you could just do this or that?" There are no problems. He is very accommodating, very reasonable and very prompt. Basically, he was terrific. I would definitely recommend him. There were different prices for different things. I wrote him a note of appreciation because I was blown away by how fabulous everything was. I'm pretty detail oriented which can drive some people crazy but he really went above and beyond. I just so appreciated his eye for details and his talent. He had two helpers with him. Some days he came by himself. But then the last couple of days he had two helpers. Those were great. They were all punctual, they were all extremely polite and courteous. When they were coming back the next day, they also packed up really neatly and in a considerate way. They didn't leave crap all over the place which I definitely appreciated. They were totally impeccable. There was a lot of work, a lot of prep needed he was here for twoish weeks, maybe two and a half weeks. But that was fine and appropriate. I could see right from the get go that he was detail oriented and there was a good reason for it. So I was completely fine with that.

Steve met with us to discuss what we wanted (desk, several bookshelves and cabinets). He took careful measurements and notes, and then sent us a quote a few days later. We decided to have him do about 2/3 of the projects quoted. He took time to go over choice of wood and various details. He built the pieces at his shop, and then came with two workers to install the built-in cabinets, shelves and desk. This was considerable: The bookshelves/cabinet are about 6' wide x 7' high. The desk is a long wrap-around for two people, with cabinets and shelves. The painting on the cabinets and clear finish on the desk are good quality. He took great care to get everything right when installed. In fact, it turned out he had to move an electrical outlet to fit the desk, and he did this at no extra charge. His work is not inexpensive, but a fair price for the very good quality. The design planning took a couple of weeks, and another two weeks for building and installation (two days for installation). It went much quicker and turned out better than any other home project we've had done. Steve was also very pleasant to work with.

Steve is creative, professional, talented and a great guy. He listens, he follows his agreed upon plan, consults when something unexpected comes up, and always leaves your house in better shape than when he came.

I recommend Steve unreservedly for all kinds of odd jobs around the house. I gave him quite an "odd" assortment, from repairing wall plaster, to moving the top mattress off a bed and replacing it with 1/4" ply and a foam mattress, building a wooden box to hide some pipes, fixing up loose stair handrails, and many more...he did everything quickly and well. Also, if, when he was about to start something, I had a thought and said "Oh, before you do that, you'll need to ..." he had already seen the need and done it! Brings the most massive toolbox you've ever seen, also assortments of materials and paint in the truck. He's a very intelligent person and a pleasure to talk with. His first love is really woodworking, and his website shows many examples of beautifully finished cabinetry, but he likes the variety of the "handyman" jobs. Note that he's not a plumber or electrician.
