About us

All Together Now is a Home Organizing service run by Judy Hersh. Plese check out my website at judyhershorganizer.com to learn more about my services. I work one-on-one with people who want to decrease clutter, handle paper more efficiently, organize storage spaces, function better and feel better in their home. I specialize in working with seniors, people with special needs, ADHD, chronic disorganization, or people who are just too busy or overwhelmed to get started with organizing projects at home. If needed I may bring an additional independent Professional Organizer to help with larger, time-sensitive jobs like impending moves. I work mainly in the metro Boston area but I'm available to travel within Massachusetts or New England. Many times people considering hiring an Organizer feel anxious, embarrassed, and stressed out, but I try to keep our sessions relaxed and upbeat while keeping focused on the client's goals. I charge for travel only for trips longer than 30 minutes. I generally work in 3 hour blocks of time, but will usually do 2 hours for people in Newton or towns abutting Newton. I do a free initial phone consultation where we'll discuss your problem areas and goals, and create a plan of action for how to get started.

The project was great. We were able to finish my seven year olds room which was worse then the 4 year olds. Having Judy help me really enabled me to just get rid of things we no longer needed or used. The best part was that the things we were donating she took with her and sent me the receipt. It was also great she could come on a weekend as other organizers I talked to prferred a weak day.
Description of Work: Judy helped me organize my childrens (7 and 4) bedrooms. She came on a Saturday morning for 3 hours. We cleaned out the closets and dressers and removed clothes that no longer fit them. We also either got rid of or donated a bunch of toys and books. Labelled storage boxes and shels so the 7 year old will know where to putthings back.

Judy and I started in the basement. Some belongings went into the trash, some to recylcing and some to re-use. The room was re-arranged and items were categorized. There is now more space and Items are grouped better. It was previously out of control. We then moved upstairs to living areas and did the same thing, down to the minutiae of papers. I am getting cleared out and going forward I have a system that looks like it will work. Judy has very good suggestions for dealing with things in the house and with the flow of more that will come in (mail) so I don't get to where I was. Additionally, Judy is very easy to work with and directs me in a way that is very effective. She is like a shepherd. Judy is getting me to where I need to go and steers me the right way.

Judy Hersh is a member of NAPO (National Association of Professional Orgnizers) and I found her on the orgization's web site. Fee quoted above is her hourly rate. Organizing Specialties: Closet Organizing, Filing Systems, Garages/Attics/Basements, Home Offices, Information Management, Kitchen Organizing, Memorabilia/Photos/Collections, Moving/Downsizing, Residential, Space Planning, Time Management/Goal Setting. I desperately needed help uncluttering my condo which was at Def Con 2. I booked time with her in blocks of 2-3 hours. After 2 visits, I find the results very encouraging. To me it was amazing the amount of stuff that could be classified, discarded, put away or given away in 2-3 hours. I'm recovering space in my house that has been cluttered for a long time. I can find things, and I can clean. And I feel more energized. Judy takes away donations and gives you a receipt from the organization she donates to. I felt very comfortable in the amount of stuff I got rid of, and with Judy the amount seemed to increase. I would never have completed the cycle of discarding so much stuff alone.
