It was a pleasure having David do the work. He was responsive, reachable and took the time to talk through the process. The quality of work and the price were both great. I highly recommend that you put him in the mix if you're out looking for quotes and, on balance, you'll likely find him to be your best choice.

Dave trimmed all our trees for us twenty years ago when we first bought our house, and then (temporarily, it turns out) took a break from doing tree work. Ever since, we have missed him! When our tree was damaged in a storm, I went on Angie's list, thinking to myself, "I wish we could still use Dave." Something about the description of Darwin's Tree Service sounded similar to me (a guy who climbs the trees he cuts), so I called. I was delighted to discover Dave himself, who is back cutting trees after all. Wonderful, wonderful guy. Great work. Great heart.

This is a small, hands-on owner business. The owner, David, climbs by hand instead of using a lift or bucket, so he can get to the more isolated and difficult locations. When necessary he has access to the big equipment. He gives great advice regarding the maintenance of trees, knows his business and doesn't hesitate to suggest other companies for any specialized work, even if it might lose him some income. Honest, hardworking and professional, I have used him several times with great results.
