We obtained an estimate from Dion and his company Certified Roofing. Although, we did not go with his company the entire process was great. From scheduling the estimate to Dion explaining every step of the process. Cost was a big factor for us and we decided to go with another company. but I would certainly recommend Dion and Certified Roofing,

I called repeatedly and no one got back to me.

Upon inspection, Mr Gaines found two exhaust pipes that were leaking into the attic.l He fixed the areas that were lose - not needing to replace them. I also asked him to remove an old dish and he kindly did this for us also. He was professional, informative and very personable. He explained what kind of roof we have, how much longer it should last, shook my hand and said call him in ten years.

The inspection itself went fine. The owner of the company did the inspection. He told me he would get back to me in two business days with a proposal for a new roof, which included aerial views to get an accurate estimate of the required roof measurements. As of early October, and after two telephone calls with the owner requesting the proposal, nothing has been received.

I placed my big deal order using Paypal. I contacted the provider and we set a date and time for the service to be performed. Day of service, shortly prior to the scheduled start, provider contacted me and informed me he took on too many jobs today and would be able to come out. I said, no problem, although it was an inconvenience having taken time off from work. He asked that we choose a new day which I let he decide as well as the time. Day of reschedule, provider no call no show at scheduled 7a start time. About 90 minutes after scheduled start I received a call from the provider stating that he was called on an emergency job which he had to take. He sounded as if he had just woken up to be honest. He informed me he would refund me with a check and provide the services for free. Two days later he sent one of his employees who delivered the check, but there has been no discussion of providing the services for free which I am ok with

Once he finally made the appointment, he was very professional and spotted a minor problem that he would come back and fix at a later date. He had to reschedule a couple of times .due to scheduling conflicts. I have given up on following up with hime and to the best of my knowledge he has not applied the fix. If he did, he did not leave me a note or message stating that he did. Fortunately, the problem seems under control now. If another problem arises in the same area, I will have to contact another provider. Overall Grade: B-

There's little to say, I got the initial contact from the contractor on August 20th. I replied the same day, and then I heard nothing afterward. It's now a month and a half later.

Our experience was excellent in every respect. The project was tricky not only because we have a slate roof but also because, due to previous repairs, there were different sizes and types of slate that needed replacement. Don Gaines was terrific to deal with. We especially appreciated his straightforward and clear explanation of the project. He told us what needed to be done-- and what didn't need to be done. He had one person helping him, but did most of the work himself and was on site the entire time. We also appreciated the fact that the work was done efficiently and with little noise or disruption of our routine.

I was not happy with them. It was a free estimate but they were advertising a whole roof for something like six or seven thousand dollars and I needed three quarters of roof done in their estimate and it was twelve or thirteen thousand. I had called more than two or three times, they had advertised more than once and the first one they promised to get back to me and they never did then they advertised again and they got back to me fairly promptly that time. When the estimators, came they were right on time.

When we first called him he was on a roofing job. It took about a week or so for him to get back to us. My wife was home when he actually performed the service. He was very professional and promptly sent us a video of the roof inspection for future use. Overall, we were very satisfied with the service.

I purchased the Big Deal and initial received an email but there was no follow-through. Because I wasn't in a big hurry, I decided to let a couple of months pass because many service providers can be buried by the initial crush of customers. I emailed and phone again but no response. Then I phoned and there was a response and a date was set. Two days before the appt, I confirmed by email and asked a followup question. When the day came, Dion didn't show up. What is infuriating is that I took the day off when I didn't really have to. I called and emailed him again but no response. So I gave him every chance to reschedule or make amends but what can I say but here's another contractor that either cherry-picks and doesn't know how to manage his business. Needless to say I asked Angies for a refund.

Dion arrived on time and was clean and courteous. He explained what he was going to do. There was a leak and he repaired it. He took pictures and explained everything to me. I would recommend him highly to anyone.

from beginning to end and even I used the deal from Angie's list to have my roof inspected.I knew it was leaking in some places so I wasn't surprised when I was told I needed a new one. We discussed the price and I thought their proposal was reasonable. After discussing various colors and types of shingles they agreed to come out the next week. I was completely surprised when a crew came here and replaced the roof in one day, It rained for the next two days after they came and the roof was perfect. I wish I could find the name of the man I worked with. He was really helpful from beginnin to end and he even cut down a bush for me that was blocking one of my windows before he left for the day.

The service provider failed to call back to reschedule after multiple calls.

Apparently I didn't read the fine print: my house was too high for him to actually get to the roof and make the repairs covered under the big deal, so I can't really give a full review. But I probably would use him if I needed repairs because he was as thorough as he could be and had some good suggestions and didn't push to do repairs that weren't needed. He was apologetic that he couldn't complete the work as described in the offer.

Despite my calling their number for about a month and getting their answering machine, I never got a reply. He said he will get back to me the next day but he didn’t. I never got a response from them. I just want my money back.

They contacted me, we set up a time, I waited and they did not show. I sent 3 emails (over 2 weeks) asking to reschedule. No response ever received.

I purchased a discounted "Roof Tune-Up and Inspection" for $79 via Amazon Local. My roof is 14 years old and I thought it was worth it to have a professional look at it, even though I hadn't noticed any major problems. I realized the risk that this was just a scam to get me to have a new roof installed, but I figured it was worth a chance. What other options would I have? First, the bad: Dion missed two scheduled appointments and didn't get back to me for a week (after a sent two text reminders) to schedule a third. But the rest is good: He apologized profusely and offered to refund my $79 (he ended up handing me $80 in cash when he visited). He resealed a pair of vent pipes that pop up out of the roof (one that I knew was slightly leaky) and also resealed a hole in one of my gutters. he didn't charge me for this "tune-up" work. Time will tell if he did a good job -- I can't see his work on the vent pipes, but the gutter looks good. As far as the inspection, he didn't try to sell me a new roof, but pointed out that the nails at the tippy-top (technical term) of the roof, driven into the ridge vent, were rusting and some of the shingles could get blown away. He showed me convincing photos of this. This could be repaired, but it would be a $1300 job. Still, he wasn't pushy, and pointed out that if there was a stretch of 30-40 degree days during the winter, he could do the job for a lot less (maybe $700), since they'd be a lot less busy. In fact, although he recommended that I take care of this issue sooner rather than later, he also recommended that I NOT do it right away since roofers tend to be more expensive this time of year. Overall, I was very impressed with Dion's professionalism and friendly demeaner. I would definitely recommend that anyone looking for roof work at least give Certified Roofing a call to meet Dion and get a quote.

One day. Stripped the whole thing down. New shingles. Cleaned up the site. Immaculate job. Exemplary in every respect. I would recommend Dion & Co. to anyone, at anytime

Before project I felt as though I could trust Dion and his crew. Once they started I had no reason to feel otherwise. Any concerns I raised were addressed immediately and resolved the first time. I have no doubt I will be able to count on Dion and Certified Roofing to stand behind there work if the need were to arise. I wouldn't hesitate to refer Dion to you or anyone else in the area. Good work.

Seemed his goal was selling me a new roof. Gave what turned out to be a very high estimate. Got subsequent estimates and had a new roof - probably wasn't as urgent as he implied.

It went well. I learned several things about my roof and chimneys that I didn't know. Some repairs were done on the spot to spaces between the chimney and the roof. What impressed me most was that there are several follow up repairs that need to be done but the provider did not at all pressure me to use his company to do the work but did give a ballpark estimate as to the cost for repairs. The task performed was part of an Angie's List special offer. It was worth the money and the peace of mind to have the roof inspected. I would recommend having a roof inspected by these folks especially at the special price offered.

It took a few calls to get in touch with Dion and he was not able to make our first appointment but met me the second time on a Monday. We signed a contract and Certified Roofing was at my house Thursday morning ready to work. His crew was there all day and finished just before 8pm. They worked very hard with barely a break and completed all of the work in one day. Dion stopped by the fallowing morning to check everything over and take away their equipment. Overall I am very happy with the work done. They were quick and our roof looks great.

After two weeks, Cerified Roofing left a message. We returned call - no response. We emailed - no response. We called - no response. In fact, when we called number given, it went straight to voicemail, saying "Dion is not available now. Please leave a message." Not very professional-sounding. After two calls and at least two emails, all we have is a loss of $79. Frankly, we want a refund for non-performance of service. Incidentally, we tried another help site (Home Advisor) at 6:30 last night, and have already had three responses - one writhin 30 minutes! and now have an appointment for a free estimate tomorrow. How's that for fast service? Certified Roofing would appear to be a certified NON-provider. We are very unhappy with them, and with you. Please refund our $79 ASAP.
