After several emails / phone calls I did receive one call back and was told I would be contacted via email to setup an appointment. Unfortunately the email never arrived. After several more emails I have decided to request a refund. I'll find another provider via Angie's List as my prior experiences have been positive. Dan

Description of Work: Had initial meeting on Feb. 5th, and Dion was to call me on the 7th to let me know about work to be done. Never called. I called him about a week or two later ,left message and no call back. Finally called Angie list rep. She tried and still no responce.

Description of Work: I have resisted writing a review for this company because I do not know whether the work was ever done. I hired them to do gutter cleaning, when I called to schedule an appointment I was told that they would come that week with no specific day or time. I never heard from them again not was there anything left at my house indicating the work was completed. I can't see my gutters so I don't know what was or was not done. For this reason I would not pay for the service from this provider again.

Description of Work: I really hate to give other than stellar reviews but if I were looking to get my gutters cleaned again I would definitely want to know this. I have a small raised ranch. In other words, a really easy gutter cleaning - not very high off the ground and not much gutter to clean. That being said, I did not relish the prospect of getting on a ladder or my roof. So, when I saw the Big Deal for $89 or $99 gutter cleaning, I jumped on it. I received an email from Certified informing me they would be in my area in Mid Oct. I emailed them back expressing my desire to wait another month or so until all of the leaves had fallen - I never heard back from them. I just happened to be home the day Dion showed up to clean the gutters. This was the week they had initially notified me they would be in my area. I thought, oh well, at least I will get all of the sludge that had built up over a few years removed and I can just clean out the dry leaves that have still not fallen. Dion, rang the doorbell and informed me he would be performing the gutter cleaning and asked me where he could find an electrical outlet. He was polite and professional. I'm not sure why but I assumed a gutter cleaning would involve a pressure washer not a leaf blower. Anyway, after about a half hour, Dion informed he was done. He also informed me that I was missing a couple of roof cap shingles but other than that the roof looked good. I thought that was great since it was not part of the service. I was in the middle of cooking at the time so I did not go outside at that moment to check things out. When I did go outside a few hours later, I immediately noticed the front walkway right in front of my house was covered with dirty leaf refuse. As I proceeded around the house, I noticed several areas of siding that were now dirty as a result of the gutter cleaning. I was particularly annoyed by this since I just had the house pressure washed the week before. I know. I should have waited to have the house pressure washed but I assumed whomever cleaned the gutters would leave the house as clean as when they started. Unfortunately, that was not the case. At this point, I was still not totally disappointed because it only cost $89 and Dion had let me know about the roof cap. But, 2 days ago, I went up on the roof to investigate the roof and I noticed the gutter on the rear side of the house was filled with leaves that had fallen since the gutter cleaning. Since I was up on the roof anyway, I decided to clean out the leaves. After I did so, I was shocked to find that the middle third of the gutter was still filled with years old sludge! I got out my leaf blower, cleaned the gutter and the areas of the house and yard I got dirty as a result. This took me over a half hour after I had already paid someone to do it! Bottom line: I'm sure Certified would be great for roofing projects but I would not hire them to clean your gutters unless you like paying someone to do something you will have to do yourself anyway. P.S. I emailed this review to Dion on Oct 27th to give him a chance to respond before I submitted it and I never heard back from him!

Description of Work: After signing up for the gutter cleaning special ($89) I called the company and explained that I wanted the gutters cleaned as described, wanted a leaky corner repaired , (which I knew was above the $89 price) , and wanted an estimate on a rubber roof for my garage. The owner asked me to repeat the request in an email which I sent immediately. He responded shortly and scheduled a visit within a week. That date was postponed by a few days. The serviceman cleaned the gutters but said he did not have the necessary materials to repair the leak. He gave me an estimate for the garage roof which seemed like a great price and said that if I signed the work order that day the gutter would be repaired free of charge when the roof was done. I was given a date of October 27th. I told the man that I was leaving for NYC on the 27th but was told that my presence was not necessary; I should leave the check for half the work on my door and the balance would be due upon completion of the work. No one came on that day or for the following 3 or 4 days. I was stuck in NYC because of the hurricane and returned on November 2nd. I left both a phone message and an email message and have never heard anything from the company. So I would give the company an A for completing the "Angie Special" but would give them a D for professionalism. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: Very flexible on scheduling. Pleased with work. Next time won't have them do work until all the leaves are off the trees! I'd use them again.

Description of Work: Never showed up for the first appointment, then was an hour early for the rescheduled appointment. We requested bids from other roofers and wanted to compare Certified using an "apples to apples" comparison since their initial bid was so much lower - in fact, it seemed suspiciously low. My husband talked twice with the owner of Certfied - he who was supposed to follow up via email or phone by the following day. That was over a month ago - we never got any response. To boot, we paid $99 for nothing. This was our first experience using Angie's List and it was dismal. Fortunately we found a roofer through local referrals who was professional and did a great job. Overall rating = F

Description of Work: Certified roofing performed a roof inspection on my home. Not only did Dion inspect the entire roof but he also made some critical repairs. He was extremely professional. He explained, in detail, the minor problems he discovered and how to remedy them. Dion made the necessary repairs in quick order and and showed me the before and after pictures of the project. Dion was very polite, friendly, and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend his services.

Description of Work: I can not really answer this as I have yet to have my gutters cleaned. I requested a price to add on power washing and no one will get bavk to me. I am very dissapointed and really do not know what to do. To date--no gutter cleaning and I need to find someone to powerwash my house.

Description of Work: I asked that they come at the end of October when all the leaves would be down. He said they would be working on rooves at that time but he would try. He came the second week in October, barely any leaves down. Why would I want a gutter cleared if there isn't anything in it? I don't know if he did the job, I wasn't here, but he left his card. I won't do any more big deals. They never work out, there is always some odd glitch which makes them not worth it.
