I bought a service listed on Angie's List online. I called and emailed and received a service date for January 4, 2013. No one ever showed up to perform services. All communication after that date appears to have been completely ignored.

I bought a Big Deal and Certifed roofing contacted soon after that to schedule an appointment. They showed up the day they said they would. I was not home at the time of service but when i got home and inspected the work done they had missed cleaning one gutter that was pretty dirty. I gave them a call and they were very apologetic and came out the next day to clean it. I was very pleased with the service and would use them again next time.

Due to poor communication on the part of this business from the very beginning, we decided not to proceed with any recommended repairs to the roof. We also felt that the "detailed report" promised as part of this Big Deal was not provided.

Bought a Big Deal for gutter cleaning back in October 2012. Right away, they sent someone out to the house to check out our gutters - now, I never requested or scheduled the visit, so they were lucky that someone was home! But the guy was very friendly and knowledgeable, recommended we use the money towards repairs rather than cleaning, and gave us some tips on how to clean the gutters ourselves. Off to a great start, I thought. So I called to schedule a time for someone to come and give us an estimate on repairs... and no one called back. I tried again, a week later. No return call. I emailed - nothing. Finally I called one more time in January and happened to get Dion on the phone- Success! He apologized for not being responsive, came out to the house the next day, was super friendly and honest and punctual, and promised he'd get back to me right away with an estimate. Great. I waited a week and didn't hear back, so I called and left a voice mail. No response. I tried again; nothing. After 6 voice mails and 2 emails over the course of 5 weeks, I gave up. He seems like a great guy, but if I can't ever get in touch with him, it doesn't matter how nice he is because there's no way the work will ever get done. I have to give him a failing grade because this gutter work was a huge fail.

Did not use the company, so have no comment here.

It went great -- he was communicative from the get go, via email. Even responded to my request to wait, as my husband has cleaned out the gutters the *day* I purchased the deal.

I contacted Certified Roofing through an Angie's LIst Deal for a Roof Inspection Package. They did what they could at the time, but my roof was very old, with three (and in some places four) layers of shingles, and some seriously deteriorated soffit and fascia boards. I got a very thorough inspection of my roof and an explanation of the work that was needed, and we arranged to have a new roof put on. Dion Gaines put me on his schedule very quickly. His crew arrived as promised and finished the roof work in the promised two and a half days. Some soffit and venting work was done a little later, and what was most impressive was that the need for certain additional carpentry repairs became obvious after the job started but that did not affect the agreed-on price. I am completely satisfied with the quality of the work, the speed with which it was done, and with the price that I paid for it. What i would like to add is how pleasant it was to work with Mr. Gaines. He listened to my concerns, took the time for full explanations, and worked within my schedule. Our relationship began as homeowner and contractor, but it ended much more as one of friends. Investing in a roof requires confidence, and I got that confidence.

I told him I was interested, but I then found someone who could do the job right away. Dion was responsive and professional

It did not go well.

He came out to check out the project. The condo association requested that I get a second quote from him and he never returned calls to do so. The condo association then requested that I get a refund.

Made the appointment, came home one day and the gutters were clean. -- you never would've known anyone was at the house. While i wish they were able to do the 3rd floor, the coupon did clearly state that it was valid for 2 stories. Very satisfied

They had a big deal on planning on performing a gutter cleaning sort of area by area, city by city and town by town. They were starting somewhere in September or something like that. Basically before the leaves had fallen. That made me a little bit nervous because I did not want gutter cleaning done before the leaves fall. I contacted them and they were actually helpful enough to say that they will reschedule it, so they moved it in November. The initial was shocking but their work was good in the end.

I called them several times and they never showed up. I am very disappointed in this company and Angie's List

I purchased it through a groupon offer online, and called to schedule an appointment. Both guys I spoke with were courtesy and upfront with scheduling. After performing the work, they did review other areas of the roof line and soffits that required maintenance. It wasn't an upsell it was just matter of fact 'here's what we observed'.

Very nice guy but very POOR experience. After over 6 moths of trying to get a purchased Big Deal service scheduled, Dion missed an appointment, was one hour late for the next appointment, then he didn't end up performing the maintenance and instead said he would come back and at the same time give me a quote for additional roofing work that i wanted quoted. He never responded and I have not been able to get him to provide a quote or do the Maintenance Package that I had paid for. He seemed like a really nice guy but maybe he just cannot manage his schedule....unfortunate and disspointing.

Very pleased with the service

Purchased a deal of the day for these services. I called before purchasing to make sure they serviced my town and they were very helpful. They immediately contacted me upon my purchase to schedule the cleaning. I asked to be done later in the season and they accommodate me no problem. When they came it was a Sunday morning. I had missed the call to let me know they were coming but that wasn't a problem. They didnt need anything from me and did my whole house gutter cleaning in less than 2 hours. They cleaned up when they were done and didnt need a thing from me. The gutters that I can see into seem clean and the guy told me what was bad and how to solve the problem... A fix that we could do ourselves which is great and he didnt try to up sell us on having them do it.

I was very happy with Certified Roofing. Showed up on time and had a great personality. Took extra care with my roof to make sure I could get a couple more years out of it. In the past with other roofing companies there was always such a heavy sell to replace the roof right away. Certified Roofing did not try to heavy sell it was very refreshing.

We scheduled Certified Roofing to come to our house a few times. They never came and they never gave us the courtesy to call to tell us that they were not going to come.

We know that our old roof is getting to the end of it's life. So we purchased the Angie's List couple for Certified Roofing to come and take a look so we can make a decision in terms of whether we can just make some repair to get the roof to last a couple more years or to replace the entire roof. All the other reviews from Angies' list were somewhat true. When I called Dion to make an appointment to come have the roof inspect, I did not get a call back until 2 weeks later when i called and emailed again for a follow-up. I wasn't bothered by it at the time. I figured it was a popular coupon and I wasn't in a rush to get the job done. Dave finally came and did a great job inspecting the roof and also gave us an estimate for having the roof replaced. We had also had a couple of other estimates for replacing roof before and found Certified Roofing's price to be reasonable and Dave and Dion seemed very professional. We decided to have Certified Roofing replaced our roof. On the day of the job, they showed up a couple of hours late because the workers got lost coming to our house. But the rest of the job did go well and they cleaned up well. Overall, we were happy with the new roof. The only thing was there was a mixed up in terms of communication in removing the dumpster after the job was done. The roof was replaced on a Thur and the dumpster was not picked up till the next Thur. We had to get stuck with it over the July 4th holiday which was a bit of a pain.

A few shingles had come off my roof. I took advantage of the Angie's list special deal, assuming that for the 2 hour visit offered in the deal I could get those singles back on my roof. After several attempts to get an appointment, the rep finally came out. He told me I needed a new roof and provided what was probably a reasonable estimate for the cost of a roof. It was a lot of money and I decided to get a second opinion. The next contractor came out and told me the new roof wasn't urgent and I could get through a normal winter with my current roof. He charged me $250 to replace the shingles that had fallen off the roof. I went with the $250 vs the $10,000 new roof. My fingers will be crossed all winter. If Certified Roofing was right, I could have a big mess on my hands. It's just the beginning of winter, but so far there have been no leaks. So, it was a difficult to get the appointment, and when I did he tried to sell me a new roof. It could very well be that I need a new roof, but I decided to take the second, cheaper option, and pray that the 2nd contractor was right.

Overall, I was very pleased with the service.

We purchased a Groupon thinking that we would be able to schedule service at the end of the leaf dropping season. We received an email that they would be coming by all of the Groupon locations at a set timeframe which was well before the leaves were off of the trees. There was no evidence that our house was completed in the timeframe indicated, so we emailed to check. They did come by to complete the work.
