It was incredible, through-and-through. It started with an awesome operations/office experience with the people I setup the appointment with, over the phone -- they were professional, and very transparent. The next step was the assessment, which in addition to being at no charge, was done by the owner, and the service manager -- I can't tell you how many companies will send out junior/apprentice plumbers to do these assessment (of course, they never have a clue), and as if that's not bad enough, they CHARGE YOU for it!!! These two veterans careful studied our apartment's plumbing, from under-the-sink, to inspecting the water lines that came-up from the basement. They were able to diagnose it as an improperly supported vent pipe, by using a camera they placed into the wall to get a closer look (only required a dime-sized hole). I really appreciated the use of this tech to be sure about the diagnosis, as anything else is an educated guess! The master plumber that arrived to open-up the wall was incredibly professional and highly-skilled -- the job was done in less than an hour-and-a-half, and the issue was permanently fixed -- no more loud banging noises waking us up in the early morning hours!

Baker Elman located the issue right away. Now I'm wondering why it was such a mystery to the prior plumber, as it was a very simple problem. (The prior plumber had also left my own sink still leaking after claiming it repaired, so I knew I had to find someone more observant.) I was also impressed by the promptness with which Baker Elman responded to my initial inquiry. I have already hired them again for something else. So far, so good. It's a relief to find professionalism and competence like this, not to mention courtesy. I have had bad luck with plumbers, so I'm hoping those days are over!

It went well. The plumber came and didn't find the leak but replaced the old copper pipe which seems to fix the issue.

It went very well. The man who did the cleaning was very knowledgeable and showed me what was done and how I could prevent it before it happened again. I have used them in the past for my steam heat. I have found many plumbing companies don't know a lot abut steam heat, but they did a great job replacing the furnace and got the system working again and have not had any problems.

It's hard to, it's really hard to describe because the other people that had been here had just been so nice and friendly and the guy when he did that was not quite as nice, but it was fine. He was very professional, so it was all good.

I have only the best feedback about my experience with Baker-Elman. The customer support and service was top-notch, friendly and professional. The estimate, scheduling process and work performed was prompt and as-promised. The job required quite a bit of new piping, plumbing and ventilation work, all of which was done to absolute perfection. I would recommend Baker-Elman without hesitation to anybody for all plumbing and heating needs. I have used a different plumber in the past for less complex repairs, but Baker-Elman will be my choice going forward.

Terrible, had them back twice and still didn't do work correct and they took me to court because I didn't want to pay twice for same work that was never done correctly, I had to get another plumber to do it right.

I wish I could give Baker Elman 10 stars. When things go easily, most contractors will do. I have an old house with old plumbing. A couple of months after the boiler was installed, I woke up to no hot water. I had had a safety system installed with the hot water heater and it detected a leak and shut off the water. Dave, the owner, sent plumbers out that day and the water heater was replaced. No charge! Well, the next day I woke up to find no hot water again. Dave came out personally every day that week to find out what was going wrong. He spent hours here. Once he came out at 7 in the evening! It turned out not to have been a water heater problem, but a pipe above, but right next to the water heater. It leaked in the morning when the heat turned on. The pipe would drip and set off the water heater safety system. Dave personally fixed that pipe. Again, no charge! Dave is amazing. He is reliable, conscientious, kind, generous, and unflappable. He finished the job right, and now I have a clean, dry basement, and reliable hot water! I recommend Baker-Elman as the best possible plumbers you can find!
