Baker-Elman were truly exceptional to work with. They struck me as a highly professional outfit in all respects. Steve, the lead on our project, quickly sized up the work that was needed and promptly provided a quote. He was also happy to talk with and give detailed instructions to our irrigation person on what to do. Susan and others in the office made scheduling and contacting them a breeze. I heard back usually within hours on any question I had. On the day of the job, two plumbers worked quickly and efficiently to complete the job with high quality. The plumbing inspection with the town inspector was scheduled by Susan and went off without a hitch. In all, an great outfit and I would recommend them highly. I look forward to using them again.

On both occasions, they were easy to get in touch with and very helpful in negotiating schedules (especially because I live in CA, so they have to work with my management company and the tenant as well). On the first call, regarding the hot water heater, my management company wanted to replace the whole heater, but Baker-Elman started by replacing the relief valve, which solved the issue. Saved me lots of money with that one! The second call was a simple repair for a shower that was leaking. Due to some work that was happening in the unit below mine, we were somewhat limited to when the work could happen, but they worked it out and all went well. Even though the need to call a plumber is never fun, they have been a pleasure to work with!

They were able to get most of the work covered under warranty, which saved us a lot of $$. It was great.

They do excellent work. The prices are reasonable and we always use them. I almost don't want to say that because if they get more customers then I will have to start waiting in line when I call them. I would call them first.

We have used this company a few times over the last few years and has had good experience. But I think there may be recent changes in administration. I called for service to diagnose and fix a leak behind wall next to a radiator. He told me the first appointment would be the Thur (3 days after my call). And they said it would be a late afternoon appointment. And then they go on to explain that if they ended up need to open the wall and they won't be able to finish (or has the part) they would have to come back another day. In view this is not an emergency, I asked for a morning appointment. And they gave me one the following Tue at 8am. On Thur morning, I got a call that the plumber is at my door. I told them the appointment is for next Tue and they told me that they have me down for Thur. I told them I am at work and cannot possibly made it home at the time. They said they will try to squeeze me in for Tue 10-12am. On Monday, I called to reconfirm the appointment to avoid further messed up. Tue came, no one showed up. I called them at 12:30pm and they said my husband just called to cancel the appointment, and they will put me back on the schedule but unlikely any plumber would be able to show up. Of course my husband did not call to cancel. My husband would not even know which plumber I hired. I take care of most of house maintenance. They now have probably sent a plumber to show up at some house where there was no one waiting because they were trying to cancel the appointment. So disorganized. I will be looking for another plumber.

Great. They came everytime they were supposed to; did everything they said they would do; and, it turned out great. They did a very professional job.

Terrific. They were so efficient. They asked me to send photos of labels to be sure they got the right replacement, and to ascertain if the new water heater could be placed up on blocks to avoid sitting in water that sometimes bubbles up in rainstorms in that area of the basement. I appreciated this anticipation of issues and preventive care. Also while the plumber was at the house, he was willing to check the connection for the dehumidifier in the basement to be sure it was properly connected, and to pull out whatever was blocking my garbage disposal, both are back in working order. So grateful for the extra help.

Excellent repair! Professional service from scheduling through repair. Extremely friendly and courteous. Repair was explained in a very straightforward manner. Elman and Baker are now my "go to" plumbers!!

Terrible, they came twice, charged me both times and I still needed another plumber to come fix it. They took me to court because I disputed bill and sent collection agents to my home when I didn't pay fast enough.

I guess it was a couple of months ago, it was two months, maybe three months ago and it was too cold to do what they needed to do, so they came back like three weeks ago. They had to wait when it was warmer out, and they had to wait until it was warmer out because what they had to do was go beneath your house, so it was complicated in the freeing cold.But, turns out when they came back, again it was still, it's a very complicated situation. It was something they could not finish and so they felt very bad. So they offered to reimburse me on the initial cost which they did.It's actually underneath the porch which requires them to go into the basement and through the stone wall.It was complicated and impossible to do without being extremely expensive.

Awesome! They came punctual to the minute, were very professional and responsive to my ask to please put on shoe covers. Did the work in a quick and clean way, and everything is working well! Also the scheduling was quick and easy, and the bill was as communicated, and reasonable.

In spite of this last fiasco, I give the company an ok rating because I had used them a few times before and previous service had been good.

Two plumbers came to the house. They were very professional and talked about the plumbing situation with me. After they inspected things, they determined that the clog was beyond their 25 foot snake capabilities. They gave me the name and number of a drain clearing plumber. They did not charge me for the visit and were apologetic that they could not fix the clogged sink this time. They did make a recommendation for something to do with the pipes so that next time this could be avoided. I was satisfied with their expert opinion and sure enough their recommended company came through and had the problem fixed quickly!

Easy to schedule, the guys showed up when they said they would and replaced the hot water heater in a couple of hours. Really easy and haven't had any issues with the new heater!

Everything was installed and is running great.
