They will come in the spring and do the same thing. It's probably a better value to get on a contract. The workers were nice, knowledgeable, and helpful.

Our home was built in the 1930's and the heating system was original to the house. It was not only very inefficient and expensive to run, but the heat it provided was barely worth the effort. This year we made the conscious decision to insulate and upgrade to a split system that provided both heat and air conditioning. A friend gave me the name of Dry Air Systems, and specifically recommended that I speak with Richard Wilson--one of the company's experts and chief estimators. I contacted Richard and over a period of about 6 months we noodled around with what would be the best, most cost effective solution for our situation. Richard could not have been more patient. No matter how many times we called him with a new idea, he was always willing to explore the option. Since cost was a consideration, and we wanted to save as much as we could using what we had, Richard evaluated our existing set-up first. Because the original ducting was so bad, we could not use it. It simply didn't make sense to add a new furnace with an air conditioning component to a convoluted patchwork of ducts. Plus, we didn't really want to stick with oil. It's an obsolete alternative with very low efficiency. Propane was a much more efficient option, but we would have had to replace the deducting and add a larger propane tank to make a gas system viable. UGH! Then Richard suggested a ductless system with a heat pump. He gave us two options--Lennox that offered 100% interest free financing or Mitsubishi which had no financing but a rebate and better motor and warranty. We went with the Mitsubishi and could not be happier. Everything was just as Richard had predicted. The crew of four from Dry Systems was one of the most professional I have ever had in my home. Led by Jamie Caldwell, they were careful, immaculate, knowledgeable, and extremely thoughtful about selecting locations and best options for wiring, ducting, vents and the compressor itself. Overall an outstanding experience. BTW, we had 2 other bids, and Dry Systems was about 20% less than their nearest competitor. A win win for us!
Description of Work: Dry Air Systems replaced an antiquated heating system (oil, gas and wood) with a new ductless, 5 port HVAC system from Mitsubishi.

The first call, I spoke with a woman and left my name and tel.# for a call back to set a meeting up with someone to come over to discuss hot water tank solutions. After waiting a few days with no call back, I called again and asked why I didn't get a call back. Also, told her that I found them on Angie's List. A man was at our door that very same day in the afternoon. He was very professional and knowledgeable. We discussed what the best solution would be for our home. He emailed us a quote very quickly. We asked for an additional quote for a different system and we received that in good time also. The initial frustration was dissipated by good, professional customer service. I would contact this service provider again.
Description of Work: We called for a consultation/quote on the best solution for a hot water heater.

Their service is okay, but I think they could have done a better job. What they put in, leaked a lot of air, so I have to get down there and spend a lot of time keeping up what they have done. Otherwise, our basement had all our cold air, and that is not good. They should be more careful on what they do. Their pricing was probably on the lowest side, and I think that is the reason why they did not spend that much time as they should. But the air conditioner seems to work well, so so far, so good.

We have a one story retail commercial building approximately 15,000 sq ft. My mother was referred to this company by a local business owner who gave them a strong recommendation. My mother obtained a quote for approx. $17,000. Another company quoted $27,000 for identical units installed. The other company's owner seemed to be very surprised about the other quote and told us he could not match it.. Our tenant praised the professionalism of the crew and is very happy with the functioning of the new HVAC units. Update 12/29/2012: My brothers and I inspected the roof and found the insulation wrap around the ducts was carelessly done and was peeling off. The most disturbing thing is that the workmen left behind dozens of screws and many shards of sheet metal on the building's membrane roof. This could easily result in a screw or shard puncturing the roof if someone stepped on one of those screws/shards.
Description of Work: Replaced 2 rooftop AC units with new York units on a one story commercial retail structure built about 1975. Installation included everything involved (i.e.: crane lift, wiring).

No complaints, only praise. A relatively simple job of removing an old faucet and installing a new one.
Description of Work: I had a leaky kitchen faucet and a sprayer that was broken. I called Dry Air Systems who just recently installed a ductless air conditioning system in my bedrooms. Gary of Dry Air was at my house within one day. He removed the old faucet, bought and installed a new one and a new sprayer. GREAT job, GREAT service. Thanks Dry Air!

They did some troubleshooting and replaced the motherboard for it. I called them on a holiday and they came out the next day and had it fixed in a couple of hours that was good. They showed when they said they would.

They were very efficient overall. I was able to get an appointment for the work in a reasonable amount of time, they showed up a few minutes early for the appointment and stayed to finish the job even though it ran a bit beyond the two hour time frame estimated that it would take to do the work. Heaters are working just fine now, just in time for Winter. :-)

They also installed that furnace. My only complaint is that they don't always get back to you. You have to call them. They seem to know what they're doing. They don't leave a mess and they are very neat. When they installed our furnace, the outlet from the house was very low and it was covered by snow causing the furnace to turn off. I called them and they said they could put a pipe to elevate the outlet. However, they did not get back to me and I had to call them 2 more times on that issue.
Description of Work: They cleaned the furnace and ducts.
