My heating-system’s boiler started making noise when the system was turned on after summer shut down. I narrowed it down to a chattering gas valve. I initially contacted several local HVAC service providers that were recommended on a list (not Angie's List) for my area. One never responded to my inquiry and another didn't show up at the appointed time without notifying me. I then contacted Gearhead Plumbing & Heating via Angie's List. Matthew responded immediately when contacted. I explained the situation and he agreed. After I agreed to the quote, he ordered a replacement valve and scheduled the installation. Matthew showed up on time. He was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. After installation he gave me several pointers on system operation & functions and what to do if certain problems occurred. The bill was as quoted.

Matthew was awesome! He cleaned some parts which a previous plumber told me I should do. We discussed some future alternatives and work. He was polite, friendly and efficient, not making me feel like just another service call. Great service!

Responded immediately when contacted. Walked me through the system to get an idea of what was required. Said that he would get prices and get back to me with a solid quote. One day later received solid quote with breakdown of cost. Set a date for two weeks and came on a Saturday to meet my schedule. Texted to confirm the day before; at my door one minute before the agreed upon time. Was clean and efficient and provided us with the 10% discount on Angie's list. Very happy with this service.

I liked him because he was knowledgeable and understand how the system works. He pays attention to manufacturing instructions and details. He has a good knowledge of his field. I was just impressed by his knowledge and understanding of HVAC systems.
