Steve Brown has been our regular plumber for a long time and he does great work. The latest thing he did was replace our sump pump hose so that the sump pump drains out to its own permanent pipe. Our basement was flooding because we were having a lot of rain and Steve was able to come over a couple days later and fix the house. Steve Brown also replaced our heating system to a HE system, new baseboard heating in our whole house, etc. When we bought our house we didn't realize the heating system was on its way out. After wasting a bunch of money on other plumbers who could not wrangle our heating system we found Steve Brown and he fixed it. And then a few years later we decided to upgrade to a HE system, which works so much better. Always professional, personable, and nice. He does a great job and we feel really lucky to have a plumber we can trust.

My partner and I adore Stephen Brown, and we recommend him whenever we get the chance. He talks to us respectfully and fully explains each idea he has and each project he completes. He is a master plumber but also has a degree in architecture, and it's obvious that he finds older homes and his work genuinely interesting. He's a conscientious person both professionally and in general, and the friends we've recommended him to have raved about him as well.

The bathroom leak was complicated, and since it was unclear where the leak from the shower was, a panel had to be cut under the shower and the side of the shower accessed through attic space. The team make one visit for reconnaisance and one for the actual work. Both were scheduled and were timely. The shower leak was due to many factors that were identified and corrected. The kitchen sink needed a faucet replacement. Stephen gave exact details of which faucet to buy and why to avoid the cheap ones. I bought one from a kitchen supply store that was installed within an hour. They cleaned up after the work was done and were very professional. I would use them again in the future.

He came diagnosed the problem and proceeded to fix it after we agreed to the price he gave.

He is accessed what we needed correctly. He was knowledgeable, made suggestions. He is a very good plumber. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

Stephen Brown does all his own work - he doesn't send in someone working for him. He works with one apprentice plumber. The two of them were pleasant, professional, and courteous, and did good work. They took the time to explain what they would be doing and why it needed to be done or was preferable to have done. They were as unobtrusive as possible, and left their work areas clean. It was actually kind of fun to have them around!

Calls were returned promptly, the workmen were very neat, friendly and professional. They did a bang up job. Would hire them again.

It went very well. Steve and Jeremy are thorough and if Steve says he's going to be here then he is. He let me know everything that was going on I can not say enough good things about him. My old furnace was ancient and really need to be replaced and a conversion to gas seemed like a good decision. Steve walked me through the process and it has all gone smoothly. If all the people I hired were as responsible as Steve I would be thrilled as I have had my share of bad workers.

Stephen was extremely helpful in answering all of my questions and completed the work in a timely and extremely neat fashion. Each day when he arrived he laid out drop cloths on my floor leading to the basement so that he did not track any dirt onto my floor. I would highly recommend using Stephen for any plumbing work and we are planning on using him when we move forward with gutting our current bathroom.

He called back promptly and did the work the next day in about an hour.

I liked them since they were very knowledgeable. They did recommend a piece of equipment that you cannot use it with the boilers. Overall, they were a good company. The guys who came out to give the estimate seemed knowledgeable about what they were doing.

last year we had another company who tried three times and never got it right. Stephen Brown came and assessed the situation, gave an estimate and came back the next day and did the job, efficiently and with in budget. He stayed to check his work to be sure it was working.

We have used his services a lot over the past couple of years. He is very nice, well spoken, clean, respectful and good. He comes when you call him. We got to know about him from our contractor. Our contractor was working here for the past 4 years and so we used Stephen Brown for a particular job in the beginning as well as the next job. He is reasonably priced and seems to be very competent. He works with his son who is also lovely. He can speak English really well. His price was fine. I would use his services in the future too.

I needed to replace a old dishwasher. Called Steve and we were able to schedule a convenient time easily. Tricky situation fitting new washer in a space slightly smaller than new unit. Steve, although a plumber, was able to do some light carpentry and handle a modification to our existing cabinetry without problem. Job well done. Will use Steve again.

The job went very well both Stephen and his son are very professional and Stephen knows exactly what he is doing. He is reliable, dependable and consistent. He is the first plumber to actually fix our master bathroom in 17 yrs.
