Joe installed a new air-forced furnace for me. Throughout the quote/installation process, Joe had been very helpful and professional, answering all of my questions and addressing all of my concerns. The new furnace works perfectly and the price is very reasonable to me. I am very happy with Joe's service and will definitively seek his help for all of my future heating and cooling jobs.

Have used Joe and Spectrum heating for last several years to fix water flow problem in baseboard heating in very old house, install new water heater and general maintenance. Very well. Joe couldn't have been nicer -- always answering my many questions before installing. He worked with another man non-stop all day (both men were so polite and nice)- just in time for the over 80 degree weather! I would definitely hire again. He really knows about heating/ac -- It worked fine last night in the hot weather. I'll see how the heat goes in the fall.

Joe did an excellent job fixing our gas furnace and water heater. His prices were very reasonable, and he was extremely responsive in fixing. I would not hesitate to work with Joe again.

Joe is awesome. He is always friendly, gets right to work. He is very accommodating to our requests, and he takes the time to do things properly, without charging for any extra time required. He did not charge for his first visit out to diagnose the problem and see which part needed to be ordered. He only charged when he returned with the part and installed it. And his prices are quite reasonable. We love Joe!

I hired another HVAC company first for the initial visit. Then the company didn't give me a quote until 4 days later, and I had to wait for 6 days for the second visit. During the process the copany was very difficult to reach and didn't call back. I was fed up by the process and decided to see another HVAC company. I contacted Spectrum on 12/22/17. Joe called back within 15 minutes, and bought parts in 1.5 hour, and replaced the bad parts within 1 hour. Joe also helped me put the air pipes in place using cable ties. I am extremely satisfied with Joe's service, and definitely recommend Joe to friends and family.

fine. Joe was friendly, and knowledgeable. His quote was way lower than another well reviewed contractor who said we needed to replace all the ductwork in the attic. Joe said this was not necessary, and two other well reviewed contractors agreed. He got the job done in two days, he and his crew were polite, always wiped their feet before entering, and were very patient with our barky Corgi. He gave all the info and documents we needed to receive a $300 Massave rebate.

Great, Joe honors his work even if it is 18 months later. A fitting broke causing a complete system failure on the 3 zone mini split. Joe came out, fixed the fitting and even installed a new stand for the outdoor compressor free of charge. Thanks again Joe.

Wow! what can I say that hasn't been said already. A thorough professional and genuine person. We were having issues with the heating unit, (we thought that was the problem) I called Joe, and he was available to come checkout the issue, within the hour and said wouldn't charge for the inspection but would give me a quote once he checkouts the issue. Turns out the issue wasn't with my heating unit but with the dapper on the roof, which is not our responsibility but our condo associations. Joe, was so efficient to quickly check the root cause of the issue and didn't tinker with our heating unit to create some random issue so he could charge us. Even after offering him money for travel time, he refused with a smile. I have already spoken about him to my friends and family and wish there were more genuine contractors available like him. I will be definitely be hiring him for any of my future heating issues. Thank you Joe!

After reading the good reviews, we decided to contact Joe to get a quote. He was quick to respond and was the first one to show up. He did what he needed to do to measure our house and answered all the questions we had. He was very patient throughout the whole inquiry phase. In the end, his pricing was very competitive, which made him the clear winner for the job. Joe is very customer oriented. He would work with you on any questions with a very calm demeanor. The job went smoothly with no issues so far. Post installation, Joe even worked with us on submitting a rebate by providing us with supporting documentation. Overall, Joe is a very down to earth person with superb customer service and I would work with him again if we needed another unit.

We have lived in our house for 3 winters and every year we can't understand why there is no heating unit in the kitchen; it's so cold! We initially had a heating specialist come in and tell us that we basically had no options because there was no insulation between the kitchen floor and the garage (which isn't true). However, Joe from Spectrum Heating & Cooling came in and shared with us the kick plate option. He was very informative and answered all of our questions. He was very responsive over email and extremely personable and trustworthy on the job. He was good at communicating when he had to delay our project because of an emergency and he was good about communicating what he was doing/going to do/did for us. We really felt like we could trust Joe and felt very comfortable with having him in our home. It's still summer so we haven't had a chance to try out the kickplate heater, but Joe said we could contact him if we have any questions when we do start using it. Joe also installed our kitchen ceiling fan, which was an add-on request, and he was happy to do it for us. Joe cleaned up thoroughly after each stage of work, which made us very happy since we have a 1 year old running around! We would definitely hire him back for more work!

Joe was great, very methodical with his work. There was a minor issue with the supply house providing a wrong part which extended the job by a day but when it's all said and done we're very happy with Joe's work and the mini split system is incredible. I will be sure to recommend Joe's work to family and friends and I'll be calling him the maintain my boiler. Joe's prices were by far the best, which made it a no brainer to hire Joe. -- Update as of 2/24/2017 -- The system doesn't work at all right now. I had a separate company come out to diagnose the problem, and he said it was a failed fitting causing a refrigerant and oil leak. This made the system unusable. I wish the issue hadn't arisen in the first place, and I am waiting on an estimate from the new company.

I accidentally touched a button. It was a heating and cooling button, that caused the furnace not to turn on. He showed me what I did wrong. He was very fair priced. He also checked the radiator and showed me where the shut off pipe was located. He was also very nice, polite and pleasant.

I have a 2 family house. I bought a big deal for regular inspection for the rental unit. Joe was on time. After the inspection, I made appointment for tune up for both units. He came back in two days and did a good job.

Joe did a very good job of installing four mini-split heat pumps to heat and cool a large portion of our house. He was knowledgeable and easy to work with. He spent extra time planning the placement of the outdoor units and linesets to make them be as unobtrusive as possible. He was careful and methodical, and produced a very professional looking result. The work took longer than we would have liked, but the result was worth it. We had a several issues related to installing heat pumps. We were concerned how the outside of the house would look with multiple sets of lineset covers, and we were also concerned about the location of the outdoor units. We didn't want them narrowing an already narrow driveway, or cluttering up our backyard deck. We wanted gray lineset covers, not the commonly used white. We wanted gray plastic conduit for the drip hoses. We presented these issues to each contractor who came to give an estimate. Joe was the one who spent time thinking about solutions and came up with a plan that used the roof overhang to camouflage a lot of the lineset cover and placed all the outside units together on a second floor porch area that we didn't use. He also obtained the gray lineset covers that all of the other contractors told us was not available. Not only did Joe do a professional installation on the inside and outside units but he bent over backwards to be accommodating. He checked along the way to make sure the installation was going the way we wanted. He listened to our suggestions, sometimes accepting them, other times proposing a better solution. He ran drip conduit down a wall, through the deck floor, and then along the deck floor joists to direct the drain water away from the house. Our electrician could only come weeks after Joe would have finished installing the units. Joe agreed to return to finish the work when our electrician could come. We definitely recommend Joe to anyone wanting heat pumps installed.

I contacted this company on May 02, left a message and in about 1 hour I got a phone call from Joe Ariansen, He came to our home to give me an estimate to replace the heating and cooling system and extent the duct work to the porch of the house, that way we can convert that room from 3 season to 4 season. I explained to him we want to work with MassSave program, he said that is not an issue. He told me he will send me the estimate and some brochures to check the unit. 2 weeks later no email or brochures. I had called the number again and left a massage but not call back, and all the time I call is a recording machine. Bad company and very unprofessional

Our old oil furnace was old and far from efficient. We spent 2 weeks interviewing various providers from Angies List. Among them there were some big company names, and some tiny ones, so there was a lot to chose from. We are very pleased with ourselves that we selected the best one : Joe Ariansen of Spectrum Heating. Joe recommended the most recommended furnace brand (Concord) and installed it. Not only is the new furnace more efficient, but also the state thinks so, resulting in a $450 rebate to us. Now it is actually warm in the house. Not only is it warm, but we are using a fraction of the oil we were using before. Also Joe installed 3 Fujitsu mini-split ductless units. We are using it as the secondary source of heat, and we are very very very happy with this choice. The best part is , in the summer these units will serve as AC units. Joe and his helper were very professional. Their work was neat and they cleaned up everything spotless. Joe went above and beyond the written contract, his main concern is that the customer is happy. During, before and after the project we exchanged dozens of emails. Joe was always patiently responding, almost right away most of the time. Next time when we need similar services, we will always hire Joe. He is the best.

His price was the best I have had. I have already recommended him to friends. Joe does excellent work. Another thing I like about Joe is he can do the electrical work in addition to hvac whereas other providers have to contract the electrical work out which raises the price.
