The folks at Kerivan Lane were careful and efficient in getting the projects done, they coordinated with town inspection, and full replacement was completed in a week (for furnace) and matter of day or two for hot water (both projects they took care to stage so that we were only without heat for day or so and hot water for an afternoon). Would absolutely recommend them to anyone making the conversion. Also, really happy with the unlimited hot water!!! They also helped me fill out my Mass Save paperwork, and we were able to take advantage of significant rebates.

I've been a long time customer of Kerivan Lane of 7 years, and have never had a issue. but because of a recent issue and billing inquire. I feel i was burned by a long time friend, made less than a loyal customer. They also charge a much higher rate than their competitors for a gallon of oil. I will not be recommending their services to friends and family anymore.

Excellent communication, arrived on time, solved plumbing problem, checked heating system. We have used Kerivan Lane for plumbing and heating services in our Newton home for many years and think they are an excellent company, professional and reliable, provide high quality services.

The furnace replacement was great. Kevin and joe we’re Pleasant to work with. The problem I have with the company is the prices charged for oil and they deliver whenever they want. I asked to have my oil delivered when I called and requested. The female receptionist was great and said she would take care of it. Well I got a delivery about a month ago which was fine. When I got home yesterday from work, another delivery happened without me requesting it. Not to mention it was for under 150 gallons. The usual delivery for them is an average of 175 gallons according to John Eburn. Not only did I get a unwanted delivery, they charged me $3.499 per gallon. I researched and called comparable companies around the area, that offered 24 hour service, drug tested there employees, etc. out of the 63 companies, the highest price charged per gallon was $2.840 yesterday (same day of my delivery) When I called Kerivan-Lane to discuss my issues, I was transferred to John Eburn. John was a nice person but acted only as a sales person. Asked several times how we could work it out. Every time I mentioned how I felt I was overcharged per gallon, and just wanted the reasonable price like all the other companies were offering. John would change the conversation about price to how can we work this out. He did not offer to work on the current delivery but would discuss future deliveries. I didn’t feel the company stands for what it says on its website. Family owned, competitive low prices and complete customer satisfaction. I am not a new client of this company either. I have just canceled my service with them. This is also the first review I have ever written negative about a company.

We had hired another company who installed the air conditioner and they had installed the wrong part. We could not get them to come out and fix it so we called Kerivan-Lane. They were very responsive and got it fixed perfectly. We are using them from now on and we would recommend them.

The day after my emergency call Andrew showed up and did a full inspection, cleared condensate, and checked filter and Pressure on outdoor unit. Much improved.

None of the three pros you recommended were able to come. Temperatures were in the 90’s. Kerivan Lane came within 24 hours, made temporary repair so unit would run and returned several days later for a permanent fix. Guys were pleasant and efficient (one was on crutches due to broken foot). They aren’t cheap, but otherwise very good.

We requested to update our very old heating system. We got five quotes. We were looking for good price and availability. Kerivan-Lane provided good price and could perform the work in the time frame we needed it done. They didn't push a certain brand lets us pick what we wanted and helped us choose the brand. They also told us about rebates on equipment. They were very knowledgeable. They performed the installation in less time then they quoted. We are happy with the job. It was a great job for a fair price. We are very pleased and will use them for anything we need.

Kerivan Lane was very professional and responsive throughout the process, from sales to design to installation to rebate request submission. They were thoughtful at each step. Some other air conditioning companies lowballed the design in order to keep the initial cost down. Kerivan Lane did a very thorough design which cost more. When I priced their configuration I found that they were very competitive. (They designed a two condenser --outside unit-- approach; competition used a single compressor.) I came to believe that the KL approach was superior. They did an excellent installation job, neat and clean. So far the system is working very well. We have used it for air conditioning on a few warm spring days. Have not yet tried the heat.

I have been a customer for over 10 years. In October, I had decided to get my oil services somewhere else and notified them of this change. I then got a call from a sales manager, John Eburn. He wanted to keep my business and offered me a good price for oil ($1.99/gallon) and a free service contract. I told him I would think about and called back in a few days agreeing to the terms. The next day, Mr. Eburn emailed me 2 types of service contracts and asked me to let him know which one I want so he could add it to my account. I emailed back and chose the one I wanted. The contract stated that it is only for customers on automatic delivery and included 24 hour emergency service. A few months later I went on vacation during the coldest week in 100 years. When I returned home, I had no heat and my house was 30 degrees. Pipes were frozen and one of my faucets broke. I soon realized that I was out of oil. I checked my records and saw that they had never delivered oil at all after I spoke with Mr. Eburn. I called the emergency service line but no one answered. I tried several times with no success. Finally the next morning I called again and got someone. One of their technicians came out and put in 10 gallons of fuel and got the system started. I then got a call from Mike McDonald, Service Manager. He told me that I’m not a customer anymore. I was surprised and referenced my conversation with Mr. Eburn and the email I had received. He asked me to send it which I did. He called me back and told me that he spoke with Mr. Eburn and informed me that I am no longer a customer and to get my oil somewhere else. This was on New Year’s Eve during one of the coldest days in 100 years. Later that day, my furnace stopped working again and I was stuck with no oil, a broken furnace and no one to turn to because of the holiday.

Kerivan Lane was great. Every person I interacted with was professional, proactive and knowledgeable. Because they are a larger company, they can send people out quickly and are available 24/7 if you have a problem. The person who did my boiler install and gas conversion was great. He anticipated what issues might come up with the gas company and gave good advice about how to get ahead of them. He worked 12-hour days to get the install done quickly. Unfortunately, the gas company delayed hooking up my gas line and I was without heat and hot water for over a week. Not Kerivan Lane's fault, like I said they told me how to get ahead of it and it would likely have taken longer to get the gas connected without their advice. The meter bar was finally installed by the gas company at 8 pm on a weeknight. I texted the person working on my boiler install and he came out first thing the next morning to hook up the gas line. The after install support has been great as well. When I had a question about how to set my thermostats to get the most out of my new high-efficiency boiler, the owner of the company called himself to talk me through how the new boilers are different than the old style boilers. I could not ask for better responsiveness and customer service and will continue to work with Kerivan Lane.

Very well; Peter Aurelio ( senior plumber) has worked in my house before so I was glad that he was assigned to the job. The work was very neat and tidy and he tested everything before he left. I was not there so he rang me before he left with the update and sign out. Everything was completed within half a day and the place was left very clean ( which isn't always the case with some servicemen). He is always very professional plus the price was less than initially quoted because they were finished earlier than thought

Peter did a fantastic job; all very neat and aesthetic looking. Installed easy to use water cut-off valves and labeled everything. Arrived on time, explained everything to me, rang me with follow up when he was leaving and left the place spotless. Very good at his job and very professional

Kerivan-Lane has been our oil provider for over four years and we’ve been really happy with the oil delivery service and maintenance. Last winter, one of the pumps failed and the technician came out very promptly to replace it. This past summer, our A/C unit stopped functioning. Turned out that all the refrigerant in the system had leaked out. Since it was an older Freon based system, the only viable option was to get a new system. We got quotes from several contractors including Kerivan-Lane and the price was very reasonable. There were no high-pressure sales tactics to get fancier systems (high efficiency). They laid out the facts and based on our usage recommended a system. The installation went smoothly. Joe Forde (the lead tech) and his assistant (I forget his name!) showed up promptly on the day of the installation at 8.00 AM. I was very impressed with the speed at which they proceeded to dismantle the old system and get the new condenser and evaporator (in the attic!) into place. The only “extra” that Joe suggested was to cover the refrigerant pipe which was running from the attic to the condenser along the exterior wall. It wasn’t very expensive and I’m glad he suggested it. The sheathed pipe looks much nicer than the bare one! They finished up by 5.00 pm after running a few system checks. They made sure they cleaned up everything and it was like they weren’t even there! Overall, I’m very pleased with the installation and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kerivan-Lane and in particular Joe.

Our technician was Patrick. He was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the job. His work was impeccable and was neat as can be. He was a true professional along with just being an outstanding young man. Kerivan Lane has always given us the red carpet treatment when ever we needed their services. I highly recommend them to all!

Very well. We are pleased with the sizing of the units, which very comfortably cool the first floor of our home, which is all we wanted. Price was excellent, and the lowest of three quotes we obtained. The units are efficient and very quiet. Installation and service have been done very professionally. Ron recently came for a service call for one of the units, and he was wonderful. He was able to identify the problem and installed a new unit the same day, so that we were not left without AC with hot weather coming. I am very pleased. Fantastic experience from beginning to the end! Kerivan-Lane has a good website to get you started and then it goes up from there. A very courteous staff worked with my schedule to set up an appointment for an estimate. Then they helped work with my ideas about what I wanted to accomplish to get me into the right units with the best rebates. Then they got me scheduled very quickly. Often this is where things go wrong, but not with Kerivan-Lane. A great crew of installers arrived and got it all in, in one day! Again very courteous and pleasant to work even when I wanted the outside condensers in a particular place. I really appreciated how they took the time to work with me to get the best outcome for my house. Really professional tradesmen. The next day my electrician came in to hook up the wiring and he was impressed too. They even help with the paperwork. Very happy I went with the Kerivan-Lane team!

They're fantastic. I've brought a Fridgidaire heating and cooling unit from them, and I've used them for a couple of plumbing items since then. I have a contract with them, if you pay an annual fee and they'll come even if you call 4 am.

Unethical and sleazy business. Avoid at all costs. Filing com ok paint with BBB. Chris lane us arrogant unethical and unbalanced. Worst experience we have ever had. Check yelp and other reviews. Bad guy. Bad service. Bad company.

The unit wasn't running.? It wasn't cooling, and after some trouble shooting, they found it was an electrical issue on it, and they found it. ? That was the least expensive repair for it.? Because it's a rental property, they wanted to get in touch with me, very soon and quickly.? The initial concern was the coolant, the coolant used an older coolant, which is extremely expensive to re-fill, so they were very conscious about making sure that I was aware of the cost and the cause of it.? They were very, very careful on how they should proceed, which was good.? The workers were very professional.? It was a very good experience.? No complaints from my tenants.?

06/16/2017 – Adriane Kuller Excellent. I am thrilled. Description of work: I needed to check on all of my toilets and sinks. They all had problems. My technician, Peter diagnosed and treated everyone of them. He did not do work that was not needed. He had excellent expertise and knew how to fix problems. Some of the problems other plumbers did not know how to fix. I had a toilet with a plastic cap stuck in the jet flow and he diagnosed and fixed that. I love Kerivan Lane's company policies. They are honest, punctual, reliable, and fair.
