They are terrific, A1 and nice. They are good people to do business with. They are a family owned company and have the fairest prices in the land. They are very deserving of the best award or placement. We use them all the time. They were extremely cooperative. They were great. Their value is excellent.

When I switched from my former provider it was easy and fast. Their billing system is straightforward and you can access their services online. When you call they are polite and responsive. All of the service people who have come to my house have been courteous and efficient.I have a monthly budget plan for oil which varies from year to year but is always reasonable. They also tune up my system once a year. I had them give me a quote on installing Fujitsu Mini-split A/C units and the experience was the best I've ever had when being given a quote. The rep was on time, very polite and had an IPad that he could demo the unit on in terms of how quiet it would be etc.

I contacted Kerivan-Lane late yesterday afternoon to request a quote for services to convert the heating system in my home and add a/c to the property. I was told that the people I would need to speak to were on the phone and that my call would be returned. When I had not received a call back by this afternoon, I called again. After explaining that I found their business on Angie's List and was looking for a quote, I was told, very politely, that my home was too far away from their service area and they were essentially interested in focusing on their local customers. I was quite surprised to hear this and began to wonder if I had misread the address of the firm. After the call, I double checked the address and mapped the distance from my house to Kerivan-Lane's office and found it was less than 13 miles. I realize that a company has a right to choose to do business where they would like to and appreciated the man's candor. However, I have to say that I don't know many firms, regardless of their particular business, that can afford to turn down what could have been a substantial job because they didn't want to travel 13 miles. If what I was told was the truth, maybe the posting should be revised on Angie's List to say exactly what towns Kerivan-Lane is willing to work in. Update: After reading my review on Angie's List, I was contacted by Christopher Lane and we discussed my project and Jack Lane came to my home to assess my heating and a/c projects. Chris and Jack were both very polite and professional. I was provided with a timely quote for a/c and was told that I would need final architectural drawings to be able to get an accurate quote for my heating conversion project. Overall, I was impressed that they went to the effort to contact me and leave me with a positive impression of their firm. As a result, I will consider using this firm for my upcoming renovation projects. Thank you!

Excellent from start to finish!!! I was motivated to complete this project and was able to get it done in just 8 days from my initial phone call. They were great at marketing this product and making sure we understood all it could do for us (which was a lot more than we thought). I was pleasantly surprised by the full attention and thorough information I received. The project required an electrician and the one they referred us to was great - he gave me a detailed understanding of what was required and an accurate estimate. Installation day was 3 days earlier than originally scheduled to my delight and the job was professional, clean and well explained. They even provided us with pre-filled paperwork and a stamped envelope to start the $500 rebate process. A week or so later we received a lovely hand-delivered thank-you-for-the-business gift and a follow-up demonstration/instruction session. Now that we've experienced the great service at Kerivan-Lane, we'll definitely check out their other offered services.

I had asked them to come out and quote me for installation of a tankless water heater. When the plumber arrived he ended up recommending an indirect water heater system instead of the tankless system, do to the unreliability and issues associated with the tankless systems, and the anticipated usage for our house. I appreciated his honest feedback (the tankless system would have likely cost more, but he recommended the right solution for us even though it cost less) and they quoted me a fair price in line with other quotes I had received for an indirect system. They scheduled the service, showed up on time and worked non-stop to complete the job. As the plumber was doing the installation he noticed a valve and a zone pump for one of our heat zones that were both in bad shape, and he replaced them as part of the job at no extra cost to me. Having dealt with many plumbers that charge extra for every tiny part or thing that they do, this was a great surprise for me. After the work was done the new tank looks great, and we have more hot water than we can use (even with a jacuzzi!) The work was done right, and for exactly what they quoted. I'm very happy with the work.

Kerivan-Lane was excellent on all aspects of this project. I received personal calls from the owner throughout and was never left with a question or concern regarding the installation from his standpoint. Tim, our technician on-site was professional, extremely knowledgeable and stayed to make sure I was up and running with the Gas company over the weekend when it was questionable whether or not the gas company would take care of me. Listen, I have been an oil customer of K-L for many many years. Never did I expect them to come to my rescue as they did during my switch to Gas service. In all the years I was an oil customer, their service and response to my needs and questions had always been above and beyond. With all the pressure in the oil market from their competitors... I never waffled from K-L due to the value they put on their customer base - especially me. Today - I'm loving my new system. I have already recommended K-L to many of my friends and neighbors as they inquire about doing the same. TOP NOTCH Kerivan-Lane... BRAVO!

This the second time I have called this company because of their Angies List rating. The first time they were great. Called mid morning, asked if there was anyway they could get there today. Chris ( Owner) walked me through shutting off water and rearranged schedule of his field service men, worked our job into lunch hour of Phillip who arrived on time. He quickly figured out where problem was, climbed through small medicine cabinet opening with his gear, including a fire extinguisher ! Explained to me what the issue was and space limitations on fire safety. ("I don't want the leak to be the smaller problem of your day.")Found and fixed leak despite tight area. Excellent job. He knew exactly what to do, was professional and efficient, and even took his shoes off when he saw the white rugs he had to cross! I will go back to this company for more than plumbing.

My kitchen sink faucet was leaking badly. After reading the great reviews on Angie's List I decided to give Kerivan-Lane a try. I've tried other plumbers, but they've either charged too much or been too rude to want to deal with again. Luckily, Kerivan-Lane did a great job and were a pleasure to deal with. They were very accommodating to me in scheduling the appointment at a time that was convenient for me. The plumber showed up exactly on time, and was very polite and professional throughout. There was a bit of a problem with the installation of the faucet that stumped even the plumber - for some reason we'd hear a big THUMP when first turning on the water. The plumber spent a long time trying to figure out what the problem was, and tried uninstalling and reinstalling the faucet, then installing a different model. Overall the project ended up taking about a day and a half, which was NOT what I was expecting. However, everyone that I talked to at Kerivan-Lane during the process was polite, helpful and professional. It was clear to me that they take pride in their work and would not be satisfied with "good enough" (at least my faucet wasn't leaking anymore!). Because of the problems with the installation, they only charged me for 2 hours of the plumber's time, which I thought was great. While he was at the house, he also looked at the major waste pipe in my basement, since that's next on my list of plumbing projects. He checked it out himself and took several photos so they could provide me with a quote for replacing the pipe. They weren't able to give me an exact quote since they won't know how far the damage extends until they start working on it (i.e. the pipe looks OK where it goes into the sub-basement, but they won't know for sure until the remove the visible part of the pipe). I intend to work with Kerivan-Lane on that repair as well. Overall I was highly impressed by their professionalism and would definitely recommend them.

Very pleased with their work quality, professionalism, and promptness of response. Mike Forrester, the master plumber on the project did a great job and gave various great advices. The communications with the team is easy and timely. They are quick in responding calls and gave me daily update, and are ready to answer my questions at almost any time. I encountered one plumbing issue one Sunday night, I called their emergency line, and Mike called me back at well past 11:00 pm on a Sunday night! This is truly professionalism and great work ethics. Highly recommended.

Kerivan lane replaced our 85 year old boiler (no, that's not a typo). They were competitive with their bid and very pleasant to deal with. We did have some trouble getting timely responses to questions while we were deciding between companies and systems, but ultimately went with them because of price and the system they carried. They didn't try to upsell us, which we appreciated. They were very good about coordinating the work with the asbestos removal, very punctual and professional. The basement was cleaner when they left than when they came! There was a problem with one of the transistors (?) out of the box, but they stayed late to make sure we had heat that very same night. And came back the next day to switch it out to a new one. A few days later, we had no heat because the reset control was not responding. They were very fast to respond on the phone, and sent someone out within an hour (on a Saturday night!) to fix it. We waited for a month to write this review, so we could get a better sense of how well this new system (and their work) has held up - and it's great! We would definitely use them again, and would recommend them for boiler work for sure.

The service was great. They were cheaper than some of the other estimates I received.

They charged a lot of money for a minor repair. They ten told us the burner would have to be replaced. We received several estimates and the most recent provider stated the burner did not need replaced but repaired.

They guy was very knowledgeable and knew what he was doing. He made a recommendation we install a different type of gasket that would not cause a leak in the future. The original plumber installed the wrong type of gasket. I called them because they were not as expensive as most. I was happy with service.

They were excellent. They were very responsible, did exactly what they said. They should up on time. They provided good ideas about the placement of unit. I was very pleased with service.

Ken the oil burner technician #112211 was on time and did a good job. He cleaned out all the soot from inside the furnace (something the previous company never did) as well as charged the filter and Nozzle and performed an efficiency test.

My gas heater/hot water boiler cracked and had to be replaced. The system was located in my apartment in very tight quarters in the laundry room. The old boiler was out of code, so about six fee of new pipe had to be installed to meet current building code requirements. Kevin, who was my initial contact, worked with me in deciding where to place the pipe (no good solution--either through a hall or outside). He kept me informed of his communications with the building inspector and the manufacturer to devise a workable solution with the least visual impact. The decision was made on a Monday and work began on Wednesday. I was most impressed by the dedication of the two-man crew, Mike and Tom, who spent four days doing the installation. On day 3, a Friday, they discovered that the failure of the old boiler had resulted in water in the gas line; and the gas company had to be called. The gas company rep did not show up until 6p. They did not leave until I had heat--at 7 pm. (I had been. at that point, without heat or hot water for 2 weeks.) Mike came back to finish the job on Monday and did additional work on the day the building inspector approved the work.The crew was timely, arriving each day precisely at 8:30. They recommended replacement of the exhaust for my dryer which had to be moved in order to get to install the new heating unit. They suggested a new arrangement that made more efficient use of the space. They also explained the advantages of installing a new thermostat that would work with the new boiler. This was not part of the original estimate and it was a suggestion only (one that I will follow up on). The work was not expected to take 4 full days, but there was no problem with scheduling. The price was about $1000 less than others bidding to install the same system - companies listed on the boiler manufacturer's web site

I was extremely pleased with everyone I spoke to and dealt with at Keivan-Lane plumbing. Ron Reitz was the plumber sent by Keivan-Lane to replace my water heater and a few other small plumbing jobs. Ron's work was excellent and he was quite professional. He went out of he way to do a fabulous job on all fronts. He didn't even charge me for the small plumbing jobs I asked to have done. I can't say enough good things about Ron effort and professionalism. Thank you Ron for your help. I originally called Kerivan-Lane to inquire about a tankless water heater. I believe it was Chris Lane I spoke to (among others, all who were helpful and professional). Chris explained the the plus and minuses of tankless water heaters and some of the things to consider while making the choice between tank and tankless water heaters. He was extremely knowledgeable about both products which allowed me to make an informed choice. I appreciate the advise and help with my decision Chris, thanks again. I highly recommend Kerivan-Lane for your plumbing needs and plan to use them again to remove an oil tank from my basement. Thank you Kerivan-Lane for your help in getting hot water flowing again in my home.

They had sent an email add about this new piece of equipment which had a video. Mr. Lane came out to explain it, and gave us an estimate. Two weeks later, on the day, we chose, they installed it in our family room/kitchen area. The two installers Phil Havilland, and David Clemments were very customer service oriented. Showed our whole family how to use it after they installed. The installation of the unit and ducts took about 4 hours; an electrician worked simultaneously - indpenedent but paired with Kerivan Lane. We have been heating oil customers of Kerivan-Lane for 10 years. They are dependable.

On the scheduled day the crew of Tim, Tom, Joe arrived on time and walked me through the process. I left for work and was called later that day and was told that the install was complete. The family was thrilled to have hot water and heat that night. The next day follow up calls were made by Kerivan-Lane to let me know when Tim would come by the house to explain how the system works. We are completely satisfied with the whole process and will highly recommend Kerivan-Lane.

It truely was a great experience from start to finish. Very thorough on the proposal side, a wonderful team doing the installation. We had some issues getting the system to run as expected, but the installation stayed with it until it was working perfectly.
