HILLCREST ELECTRIC CORP

We bought our home in the fall of 2018, a 100+ year old colonial with great bones and a lot of small projects to take care of. The house had been in the same family since it was built, and we had some older wiring techniques that our home inspector said should be addressed right away. Bill and the folks at Hillcrest Electric were great to work with, fast, and super friendly. Bill explained all of our options for each wiring issue, and gave us some detail about what needed to be updated, what didn’t, and why. They even came back without charge when a small secondary issue popped up a week later. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Someone came out and surveyed the work I needed done prior. This allowed them to provide me with an estimate. Once the estimate was received, I booked an appointment. It was a bit far out from when I booked it (Booked June, work done Aug.) but the work I needed done wasn't urgent, so that was fine. Prior to them coming, I emailed changing some of the things I needed one. They were very prompt with replying. The day of, one of the electricians was sick, so I only had one. He warned me he might not get everything done as a result. Turns out it wasn't a problem. He accomplished everything I needed done. He cleaned up after himself and checked with me when certain jobs required him to have to open the wall (only a very tiny bit).

I think they're good. Good company. I think they do good quality. They are friendly that's why I'm comfortable using them. I use them all the time.

Repair necessitated finding a junction box hidden under vermiculite insulation in our attic, and subsequently using a saw to cut a floor board to have full access to the box below. It was not obvious how to solve the problem, and where to find a junction box that might be the answer to the problem.

Excellent same day response to phone call. Evaluation and estimate as pre-arranged. Job professionally and promptly completed as agreed upon.

Light was replaced and done right! Good job.

We've always liked them. My son uses them and my sister uses them now too. We've been happy with them. It was a huge chandelier. He was very, very careful. We had towels and a box. He took down 4 chandeliers. My sister paid the bill because she was executor but she said he was very reasonable. Very good. They give you a time and they come between that time.

I had Bill install a pole light in the driveway and a heavy duty light fixture in the house. He and his assistant came when he said that he would, cleaned up all debris and did an overall great job for a reasonable price! I highly recommend him and his company.

As with previous projects, Bill and his team were professional, knowledgeable, fair, and a pleasure to work with from initial inquiry to final clean-up. I will call Hllcrest for all future electrical work and recommend them to friends.

Great work, prompt and professional!

Recent work was installation of 220 line for my dryer. Took less then an hour, works well, cleaned up area on completion. A bit pricey but nice to have a local provider you can count on.

One guy came out with a very cheerful dispostion. He was a good worker. I thought the service was excellent.

It was excellent. They are very reasonable, very responsive and good. I have used them for years for electrical work. If anybody needs wiring or electrical work done, these guys are topnotch.

Bill was very prompt to provide an excellent estimate. Unfortunately we could not close on this house ... the deal fell apart (because of other issues) but we will definitely contact Bill for any electrical work we need . We are actively searching for our new home and hopefully will find something in next couple of weeks.

I never heard from him again, despite emailing him the cable clip measurements the next morning and following up with another email and at least one phone call. I wouldn't have had a problem if he'd told me after seeing the jobs when he came to the house that he didn't want to do the work, but I can't understand someone telling me he'd send me an estimate (and accepting my offer to take the measurements on the roof in order to give him more details) and then failing even to let me know he wasn't going to give an estimate. All he had to do was hit "Reply" on one of my emails and tell me that. Instead, I was left waiting until I finally realized I wasn't going to hear from him.

They were okay--half of their work was okay and half was sloppy. They had to put in a cable receptacle in one of the walls and it required them some carpentry skills. They chipped a lot of the wood and their work turned out to be bad. They showed up on time and did fine on the electrical part of the work though. Their prices were relatively high but not unreasonable.

Hillcrest Electric gives good and fast service, and we use them regularly. They do their work and it's done right.

We think they are wonderful. They were on time for their scheduled appointments. They were very friendly people. Their quote was what the bill was. They were very thorough. They helped us think about how we wanted to pick our lights for our new kitchen. They were just wonderful wonderful couple of guys that were there. We spent a couple of thousands with them, but that was because our house needed to be upgraded. I would grade their price, responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism as "A+."

They are fine. Nothing stands out. I have used them for years. They come, they do their work, and they are local.

The entire experience was positive and I would use them again. Their quoting was professionally done (and competitive), follow-up relatively punctual, and actual service met expectations. They offered good advice on choice of bathroom fans, showing they knew what they're talking about. They seems very candid and forthright. There was a bit of a wait between acceptance and execution of the job, but I think that reflects that they are busy... and must be doing something right.

We've used Hillcrest several times in the last year for various services: installing chandeliers/dimmers, relocating outlets, and creating new outlets. We've been pleased every time as they have been easy to work with, efficient, and professional. The prices we've paid also seem very fair. We plan to hire them more in the future.
