It was fine. They were very timely and responsive. The quality of the in person interaction was slightly less impressive. We needed to schedule something quickly and they were able to come on the weekend. The guy didn't do a lot to explain what the recommendations were. He did give us what we asked for, which was a written estimate. We would possibly use them.

Nothing to add beyond the description of many sales calls after I informed them I had hired a different company.
Description of Work: I requested an appointment and estimate from Basement Technologies. The salesperson was knowledgeable and prompt. However, the price was considerably higher than the other company I priced and then hired. Worse, Basement Technologies continues to call me, over and over again, while I'm at work, trying to get my business. I've lost count of the times they have called me. I emailed the original salesperson as soon as I made the initial decision last Fall, which should have been enough their call lists. Then I was polite in answering the first couple of calls. Then went to begging them to take me off their lists. Now I'm hostile. Aside from changing my phone number, I don't know what else to do. BE PREPARED FOR THE HARD SELL AND NEVER-ENDING PHONE CALLS.

We had Basement Technologies give us an estimate to install a dehumidifyer in our basement. Steve and Steve came out to view our basement and assess the situation. They quoted us over $3000.00 to install the unit. I did a little research and found the unit retails for $1350.00. I dont think there is much involved in installing a dehumidifyer but if I estimate $500.00 for installation (plug it in and put the hose in the drain, right?) then what is the other $1200.00 for? So I asked them that very question. They said that it's for the peace of mind of working with them. They did say they had a 24 hour service line we could call anytime if we needed help. He said that it wasnt staffed 24 hours a day but someone would call us back. lol. Maybe I missed something but I didnt see the value. Nice guys, though.

I was impressed with the service that Basement Technologies could provide the only thing that I had a problem with is the you have to sign now. Also the quote I had recieved 6 months earlier was less than what was quoted on the day of the second visit. The rep did manage to get the price down lower. I did not use them as I still felt they were a bit high in cost.
Description of Work: The services that would have been performed would have been a sump pump put in the basement to prevent water from coming in.

The whole experience was excellent! I called on Tuesday and someone was there the same day. When he couldn't fix it the same day they had someone here the next day first thing in the morning. He replaced, fixed and tested everything to make sure it was working properly. He also water tested it in front of me so I could see for myself; which was very reassuring. I would never hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking to solve a basement water problem. I live in a high water table area and have already recommended them to one of my neighbors. .
Description of Work: Two years ago they put in a Basement Waterproofing System for me. I heard an alarm ringing yesterday and called them up. They walked me through what to do to try and reset the system, when it wouldn't work they said they would send someone out. They sent someone out the same day. He found what was wrong, but did not have the part so had to send someone back Wednesday. I explained I have to leave my house early on Wednesdays and they said they would get someone here on time. My doorbell rang at 6:45AM Wednesday. They replaced everything and then some to make sure everything worked correctly. I am one that has to understand how things work and need to see it to understand. He explained everything clearly and was very patient. He replaced the battery back up and tested it first himself and then in front of me so I could see.

I would recommend BT with the following caveat. If one has the time to closely follow the work and monitors the results and is prepared to spend a lot of time on the phone following up on promises and making sure that the proper parties within the company are communicating with each other, I would say go ahead and use these folks. A dry basement is a comforting thing and the likelihood that a company will be around to keep it that way is reassuring. 12/15/12 My basement is dry, finally. My account has been credited with the money they owed me, finally. BT never failed to respond politely to my requests that they return and complete the job that actually produces a dry basement. I wish it had not taken approximately one dozen visits. After the final visit I received a call from Basement Technologies requesting that I raise their grade overall from a C to a B. C is average and B is good, one might recall from one's report cards. I agreed to amend my initial review with an update which you are now reading. The final work is good and that is a B. The number of times I had to call them back to correct their work was far to high, a grade of C or average for that is generous. For a dry basement I now give them an A, for the hard work their men put in I give them an A. For the friendliness and good humor of their men they get an A and extra credit. For their concern that the job ultimately went right, once I pointed out wet spots, I give them an A. For their concern that I was satisfied, I give them an A. However to give them a B overall I think might give Angie's List users an impression that they could just sit back, relax and assume that all would go well. Ultimately it all is well, but it took a lot of my time and attention to help them get it that way. Would i use them again. Yes I would AND I would make sure I had sufficient time to keep a very close tab on them. They are a big company and they do come when you need them. They are a big company and will likely be around for a long time, that is when you need them in future and that is very valuable indeed.
Description of Work: Basement Technologies representative came out, surveyed wet areas in basement, told me what it would cost to correct water problems and quoted a price. After some discussion of details we agreed. It was proposed that perimeter drain around two thirds of the house, a new sump and new sump pump, a small dry well in the yard would dry the basement for about $6000.00. Appointed day arrived for proposed two day project. Crew arrived punctually, worked hard and finished on time. They were cheerful and friendly and pleasant to have working at the house. Basements continued to suffer standing water during rain storms. BT always was responsive and came back to address the problem. They had to reopen the cement a few times to correct poor workmanship: for example the feed from the perimeter channels into the new sump was sloped backward so that the water backed up and did not flow into the sump. They had to come back three times alone to re-plumb leaking 1.5 inch pvc pipes they had installed poorly. This was time consuming for them and for me, but they always responded cheerfully and eventually, after I believe nine visits, seem to have succeeded in directing the flow of storm water to the perimeter channels of the basement and producing a dryer environment. I marked BT down to a C in professionalism because in the process of eliminating water sources they told me they needed to create a new "artery"(open the cement to place an ancillary channel to the perimeter drain) and that it would cost an additional $750.00. I protested that the original survey and agreement included creating a dry environment for the cost agreed upon. I acknowledged that their crews worked very hard and agreed to meet them half way on the additional cost. However they went ahead and charged my credit card the full amount and to this date have not credited me the agreed upon difference. I don't question their integrity here, just their organization. i assume they will be good to their word and credit my account. Their internal procedures and communications need improvement. This was a long painful process requiring a lot of my(and their time). It could have been done right the first time. Their estimate was far higher than competition. After some negotiation about price and work detail I agreed upon a price which was about 20% above the other estimates I had gotten. I did so because of BT's size and the time they have been in business. If there were ever an emergency I wanted to make sure they would be there to respond.

Overall the system seems to be working. The person in charge has not sent a receipt for the work (he claims he didn't have one in the truck), which seems important since the company promises a lifetime warranty on the system. I will be on the phone again on Monday. Add that to the guy on the crew who spent 15 minutes screaming into his cellphone as he walked through my neighborhood, and I seriously doubt I will ever deal with the company again.

We called these jokers in July of 2009, after we determined that our old sump pump was not up to the task of keeping our basement dry. The technician that was sent out recommended a new sump pump in the opposite end of the basement - he claimed it was the low point - and a ten foot channel dug into the middle of the floor. He claimed that this would absolutely keep the water out of the basement. Our basement would always be a little damp, but we would no longer have puddles. We paid $2500. Fast forward not even a month. A heavy storm comes and our basement floods; but now it floods in the corner where our old pump used to be. The new pump never even runs. As it turned out, they placed the pump in the wrong end of the cellar. I try calling and get the run around for a few days. Finally, they send out a tech who claims we need a partial perimeter drain in the part of the cellar that floods. They refuse to admit to the fact that the pump is in the wrong spot, and always deflect the question. Stupidly, we agree to the partial drain and pay another $1000. For a few months, everything was good. The basement stayed dry. Fast forward to February 2010. The heavy snow and rain comes. Water begins to seep into the basement. The pump runs like crazy and just dies. Luckily, I manage to get the pump going again, but I have to watch it assiduously for several days. Again, I call BBT, and again, I get the run around for a while. I complain not only about the failed pump, but again about the pump being in a bad spot. The next month they send out their heavy hitter, a really intimidating guy who claims to hold a degree in waterproofing. Again, this guy deflects the fact that the pump is in a bad spot. They replace the old pump, but first almost gave me a lesser pump "by accident". I call them on this, and they put in correct one. Again, they try to upsell me into a full perimeter. We ask for a quote, and the price comes back as three times as much as it would have been had I done it at the very beginning. Of course, we refuse. Now we're just in a holding pattern. We have a method for getting water out of the basement, but it is far from elegant. Get this: To add insult to injury, they then try to bill us for the tech coming out, even though the pump failed and was under warranty. It takes us a handful of phone calls and a threat to call the Attorney General to get them to correct this. Do yourself a favor, avoid this company like the plague. Call your local plumber and see if he is capable of installing a pump. I guarantee you it will be done with greater care and for less money. Update: As a result of this review, BBT contacted me and agreed to come out to look at our system again. This time the tech realized that the pump was originally installed in the wrong place. He noted that the spot where it had been installed was nearly 4" above the lowest point in the basement (the spot of our original home depot pump). Long story short, they came out and moved the pump free of charge. Things seem to be working pretty well now, but we'll see what happens in the Spring.
Description of Work: For $2500, they installed a sump pump and drainage pipe under the middle of our cellar floor. The water from the pump is expelled through a pipe that runs under our lawn. Following this, for $1000, they installed a partial perimeter drainage pipe (aka French drain) around half of our basement. Update: Also moved sump pump to the other side of the cellar.

It was suppose to be a 2-3 day job to put concrete and a drain system in an unfinished basement. It's 4 months later and the job is near done. There is a gas pipe they sealed into the basement that I need to get a gas certified technician to fix. The salesperson straight up lied to me about what they would do. He was far from honest when making a sale. He said they'd dig around the unfinished interior, I had a part dirt, part slab basement. They would do it by hand, using jackhammers and take the dirt out in buckets. This was not done, they just laid some stone and put piping over it. The slab was to be 3-4" thick. Of course in low spots it would be more. In the area that started the highest it went up 7-8" and encased our sewage pipe half way up. This became a problem when they couldn't install a grate by an exterior door. In that corner it had come up 11"+. They still charged me for the grate of course. There response to me wanting it fixed, I'd have to pay to have someone come in and raise that pipe. In another corner the slab wasn't even close to the wall, I could fit my arm into the space between the wall and their drainage system. It took them over a month just to hook up the pump. They also charged me for putting the bubbler pot 15' from the house when they had put it 10'. They came back and moved it another 5'. After months of phone tag, they are not prompt at returning calls. They no showed/no called on 5 occasions, and showed up once at 8am when we had an appointment for 3pm, and then said they'd try and come back, they didn't. They called after 5pm to let me know they couldn't make it. This was the one time they did call. It's been a NIGHTMARE. I hate the use of all caps, but in this, case I can't possibly put my feelings into words. So in the end, as of late July.(This project started in April, when my basement was flooding) I have a sewage line that got chiseled out of the cement partially, a gas pipe still stuck in cement, a grate installed with some patch work and plastic sticking up out of the floor to try and prevent water from splashing past in case of a leak by the door.(I'm not referring to the plastic along the walls, that's suppose to be there, though one of their technicians said they used the shorter plastic instead of the longer one that would have been more appropriate for field stone walls) They had to leave a hole behind the pipe because they couldn't find a way to make it work any better. They redid the corner where i could put my arm behind the cement leaving rough cement and a much darker cement. They also charged me for multiple ports and only installed 1 initially. They were cutting corners everywhere, figuratively and literally. Talking to them yesterday, they said they'd give me free maintenance for my 4 months of headaches, no shows, horrible looking basement and problems they caused by doing a poor job in the first place. They said that I was, "suffering from buyers remorse" and that "they weren't going under anytime soon" when I talked about getting some money back. They saw nothing wrong with how they treated me. Please, even if I'm that one in a hundred cases that goes wrong, based on their attitudes and lack of concern, I'd ask you to try and find someone else to do your installation. I have never been treated so poorly, and I'm a urban public school teacher. I've dealt with disrespect, but this was unfathomable. I could go on and on in more detail, about things said and excuses made. But if this isn't enough reason to avoid them, I don't know what is. I also apologize for this sounding scattered, when something goes so wrong, it's hard to write in a calm focused manner.
Description of Work: Suppose to do: Lay a 3-4" slab of concrete add a catch basin grate under exterior door of basement Put in a pump, basin and alarm Have the pump piping go to a overflow bubbler 15' from exterior of the house Dig down around the interior of the basement and lay down fill stone before laying drainage system(they claim they never said this) install drainage piping around interior perimeter of the basement Install drainage ports, (one on each wall, access to the pipes that would be in the cement when done)

Response from 1-800-BUSYDOG
The first complaint judged by the customer was that they believed their job would take 2-3 days. In all of our proposals, we state jobs cannot be judged how long they will take. The member’s job was very complicated and had idiosyncrasies that were specific to their situation where we were waterproofing and pouring a concrete floor. There were many unforeseen circumstances during the course of the job that we did not charge the members more money for, and completed the job to the best of our ability under the time frames necessary. The gas line will be moved up above the slab at our expense. The subcontractor had to grade the slab and unfortunately bury the gas line. It will be fixed. We are waiting for the member to call us back to fix. There was a miscommunication between the Sales person and the customer stating that we would dig the basement down to level it off. What was told, according to our Sales rep, was we were leveling the floor to the best of our ability and using concrete to level it out. That was what was done. According to the written contract, that was what was included and that was the work completed. To dig down would have been substantially more money. They had a pipe at the basement bulkhead door and making it impossible for us to install a bulkhead grate at the door. Basement Technologies stands ready to install the grate at the door as long as the pipe is moved. This was not a part of the original contract. The UDE is a discharge out onto the yard that has always been declared by the customer. Basement Technologies is not allowed to recommend discharge location. Mr. member wanted the UDE placed at the 15’ mark. At our own expense, we extended it 10’, and then a further 5’. Basement Technologies states in all of its contracts and conversations with its original Salesmen and customer that we cannot tell the customer where to put the discharge line in the yard. We bent over backwards in this case in order to satisfy the customer. There was a miscommunication between the Sales representative, the Home Owner and our Production Department. Apparently the customer made arrangements with the Sales representative that did not communicate back to our Production Department to send trucks over to do specific repairs. Basement Technologies prides itself on its repair team and will bend over backwards for customers to be sure that they are happy after installations are completed. Any misunderstandings, we apologize for, Basement Technologies stands ready to relieve any situation with the members. If we could get a final punch list from the members, Basement Technologies will go over to the house and complete what is necessary to ensure they are satisfied. The problem is we cannot get a complete comprehensive punch list of what needs to be done. There have been several miscommunications from the members, our Sales person, our Production Department. We are willing to work around these in order to get this project completed to the members satisfaction.

They are excellent. The stayed very involved in the process. They called to find out when the contractor arrived. They called to see if everything was satisfactory after the pumps had been installed. There was some additional work that was done the next day, and the called to check on that. I was very impressed with the serviceman that installed the pumps; they were the best I have ever met. I refer them every chance I get whenever someone needs work done to their basement.

I had a problem with water coming in one section of the basement. They were very accommodating coming out and the sales people were very knowledgeable. I had the work done- the workmen were great. I was told they would contact me in March to bury the pipe- the paper work would go in without any problem. When I cam home that night and checked in the basement the concrete had sunk. I left a message with the salesperson- yes, I should have just called the main number, but they had said call, we can help out. Well, no call back (I think for customer service even if you aren't the right person, you call to make sure the customer is OK). I then called the office and got a call back, I was told that I would get a call back "first thing in the morning". I called them at 11:00 am. They sent a great guy out to re-do the work. March comes and goes and no call about the pipe. I call and they can do it on April 26th and will call the day before to schedule the time- between 4-6. I confirmed the time this morning- between 4-6 and so here I sit at 6:30 pm, having called the office at 6, being told that if it was really an emergency I could leave a number and get a call back- but really make it an emergency. Well, since I had to run out of work early to make it here at 4 and have been waiting for them- I called- still waiting. Terrible service.

I was amazed at how the entire system, from jackhammering the cellar floor to covering the tracking system with fresh cement, took only one day! I expected a two-day job. Chunks of broken cement flooring had to be carried out of the basement, by hand, in buckets. Cleanup was quite good. They were done by late afternoon. I am quite pleased with the overall work. It seemed to me that they never even broke for lunch, prefering to work through, from the time they started, 'til late afternoon, when they were done.
Description of Work: The crew from Brockton showed up before 8 am. After setting up a containment barrier to keep cement dust from traveling through the house, they proceeded to break up the basement floor about 6 inches from the wall in order to intall their Water Trek Aqua Route system to collect incoming water. They brought along several barrells of crushed stone to place in the tracking system, as well as the two sumps/discharges that were installed. PVC pipes were used to discharge the water outside, via two holes drilled through the side of the house.

Back in Sept. 2009 when we first bought our house, we thought about putting in drains in case the basement was wet. The people who sold us the house told us it was a dry basement, but we saw sump pumps in the trash that they threw out on the day we closed. We priced Basement Technologies and B-Dry. All of our neighbors used B-Dry. But they were more expensive and also didn't have a radon remediation system. We wanted to go with the radon fan because a friend of ours, prior to getting similar drains, did not have a radon problem. But one developed after getting the drains. We thought it would be easier to take care of both things simultaneously. At the end of the all of the deliberation, we decided not to get the drains/radon system installed at all because everyone who saw our house told us that, without a doubt, our basement was dry. Well, fast forward to February and then March 2010 and all of the crazy rain. Our basement did, in fact, flood. We had to rip out the walls of the finished room and throw lots of stuff away....I called Basement Technologies back and asked them how soon they could come out and if they would honor the previous estimate they gave us in September. They would honor it and they would be there in May. The day they arrived to do the work, the work crew had no information about the radon system. They were not prepared to install one. I spent 3 hours that morning, with the work crew sitting around, trying to get Basement Technologies to NOT pull a bait and switch on me. They finally agreed to do the work as promised and at the price quoted (instead of charging us an additional $1800 for the radon system). I asked the work crew how long we needed to wait to refinish the basement. He crew manager told me to wait about 2 weeks and then to "go nuts". So, two weeks later, we started the process to refinish the basement. One month after they were gone, we received paperwork in the mail stating that we should not refinish the basement until we get "prior approval" from BT or we risk nulling and voiding the warranty. WHAT? But back to the day of the work....they installed the radon system right outside of our bedroom. It is mounted to the outside wall of the house. It sounds like a truck is idling outside in the yard. So we leave it off because we can't sleep with it at night. The work crew did not tell us it was so loud, nor did they ask our opinion on where it should be installed. After receiving the paperwork a month later, I was so furious that it took me almost 2 months to fill out their I-Am-A-Happy-Customer-Because-If-I-Am-Not-I-Won't-Get-My-Warranty paperwork. I finally wrote out how dissatisfied I was and sent it in. Two days later, I got a call back from their office manager. She apologized for all of the inconvenience, promised that they never had an intention to pull a bait and switch, and promised to make it all right. She asked for my issues and we came up with a list of 4 things that they would correct so that we could walk away happy. 1) Move the radon fan. 2) Hire an electrician to power up the fan (since we already paid an electrician the first time and didn't want to pay twice). 3) Install a mason grate at the foot of the bulkhead door (which is where water came into our basement in the spring - she was surprised that one hadn't been installed when they put in the drains). 4) Confirm that our refinishing of our basement didn't null the warranty and mail our warranty to us. So, she sent someone out to our house 2 days later to look things over. He suggested downgrading the fan that they had installed prior to moving it to see if that would help. He promised that if it didn't help, they would come back and move it. He also confirmed that our warranty was still good. About a week later, on Friday, the crew came out to downgrade the fan and install the mason grate. The crew manager told me he had a bill that said I owe and outstanding $1800 and did I want to pay by check or credit card. He spent a long time on the phone, after I refused to pay, confirming that I owed nothing. After downgrading the fan, we powered it up and he came into my room to see if it had any improvement. It didn't. In fact, not only did the wall vibrate still, but now the new fan let out of high-pitched hum. So it has been off since they replaced it. I called back on Monday and asked for Denise, the woman who promised to make things right. I was told she was no longer with the company. (In fact, as it turns out, not one person who has worked with me since my initial sales pitch is still with the company. They have all been fired.) I get a new guy who tells me that since it's "customer's preference" to move the fan, they will be glad to move it, but it will cost us. I asked him why he was doing this. I told him that Basement Technologies is the one who approached me to get this moved, not the other way around. I said that they were pullling yet another bait and switch. I asked him why they bothered to contact me to begin with. He did a lot of back tracking and then said to call him back by Friday if he didn't call me back with a definitive answer. I called today (Monday) and he told me they would, in fact, move the fan but they are not prepared to pay an electrician to power it up in the new location. They are scheduled to come out on Thursday (9/2/2010) to move the fan and in the meantime, he will continue to try to get approval to hire an electrician. We researched Basement Technologies prior to getting these drains. They had an A rating at the time. That's why we even considered them. How I wish I had seen their current reviews. They now have a B rating. Hopefully, they will drop even further after our F is factored in. Do yourself a favor and do NOT go with Basement Technologies. Just the fact that our sales rep, Neil; their office manager, Denise; their project manager, Jason (who worked with me the day of the initial installation); their work crew, all fired in the past few months should set off red flags. But the work, the way they treat their customers, the under-handed business practices. Don't do it to yourselves. Go with anyone else. Hiring Basement Technologies is the worst mistake we've made since buying this house.
Description of Work: We had drains, a sump pump and a radon remediation system installed.

We have a very damp basement & no other storage, especially for our large collection of books, so we planned on a dehumidifier from the point we bought the house. It turned out that getting something above the level of Home Depot's best wasn't so simple, which is how I ended up with these people. I assume somebody else must perform the same service, but I haven't found anyone to date. For my next dehumidifier I hope I'll have to strength to find one. The experience was....Oh, I don't know. Annoying, frustrating, tiring, sometimes baffling. On the positive side, I've twice ended up with a good working machine that did the job adequately. For the rest of it, well, I've gotten the feeling that it's a weird company. There seems to be a huge office staff, none of whom knows anything; at least one dispatcher in each period who knows enough to at least lie convincingly--the person who sets up the appointments and proffers explanations about why it's so difficult to get obvious things done; and a small & wildly varied group of guys who come out and install. They're quite a bunch. One, for instance, was an oldster who knew his stuff, but it was alarming to watch him grapple with a heavy bulky object. Another--my 1st delivery/installer guy--was a kid, maybe 18, who was strong enough, but had trouble with the notion of how to plug it in; & no clue that water comes out of that bit of tubing at one end. These staffing issues--I can only assume that the company has trouble keeping people--also show up as endless, insane delays in getting an appointment. My most recent call for help was in April or May: we'd noticed water spilling all over the floor and assumed it was either a float switch or the thing needed leveling, and that's not something I can do for myself. (As I said, these things are big, and heavy) I called; I got an appointment for a few weeks ahead--knowing them, I was resigned--but then that turned into a few weeks more, and then a few weeks more. The final date turned out to be July 17th. The man who came, Chris Turner, was very competent, and he leveled the blasted thing in under an hour. Nevertheless, especially considering that we bought it largely to deal with humid summers, I'm less than happy about the firm's bench strength. So overall, don't go to these people unless you must. And if you must, stock up on patience.
Description of Work: So far as I can tell, the main work of this company is to come to your damp basement, assess it, give you a recommendation as to which of their fancy dehumidifiers you need, and sell it to you. Then they order it, eventually deliver it, install it, and, supposedly, service it. I've had two dehumidifiers from them, and various service calls, in 2006, 2008, 2009, and now 2010.(The first one wore out, which I'm okay with--it got heavy use.)

I called Basement technologies after the huge flood in march 2010 - it is a very long story but essentially I had to make 4 appointments with them because they either a) didn't show up at all or b) canceled and rescheduled the appointment. After my 4th appointment with them (at this point I wanted to see how long this could go on!) and a MASSIVE complaint to the BBB, they finally sent out a very nice man - operations manger - to "impress me"? While he was very nice, their quote came in at DOUBLE all the other contractors i had out to see my basement (and that was WITH the 15% discount they gave me b/c of missed appointments). They do try and sell you and it seems to me making money is their #1 priority - not making the customer happy! Their phone staff is rude and unprofessional as well. They may be one of the biggest in the business, but they sure are not the best.

Kept insisting on "finding a time when your husband is home." When I said weekends, she proceeded to schedule him for a Friday (why?). And then the guy came and spoke to me using baby talk and kept suggesting he come back when my husband is here. I explained that I manage all the contracts in the home but he was upset that I was not signing a deal then and there (we are talking about $15,000 worth of work). So then he dashed out to answer his phone (I thought he'd never leave).

George and Greg came and installed the Bonnaire and HotFloor in one day. They arrived a little late in the morning and were there a bit longer than they said they would be there, but the installations were successful and high quality. Due to a little mis-communication, one little thing was forgotten, but I mentioned it during the follow up call that basement technologies did and they scheduled George to come back and it only took 10 minutes to do that. They did a good job cleaning up the basement after themselves, but they left the big box that the Bonnaire came in in the yard, with some of the of the construction scraps in it, which meant I had to reorganize the garbage so it could be recycled and taken away according to our towns rules (they wouldn't take a huge box with garbage, it has to go in the special bin we get and cardboard has to be broken down).
Description of Work: Basement technologies evaluated our basement for waterproofing. They quote about$9000 for a full perimeter system and pumps, but indicated that we may not need it, and offered other solutions to the musty basement that were less expensive. We went with a system called Bonnaire, which refreshes the air in the basement by exchanging it if the humidity gets above the set level. They also recommended a dehumidifier. The brochure also contained a product called Hotfloor, which is an insulated floor, not a heated floor, that is only about 1" thick.
