Workers went the extra mile to be friendly, courteous and clean and made sure that we were perfectly satisfied before they left. A seamless job from beginning to end.

They were great; very fast and professional. 6 or 8 workers swarmed over the roof for two days. They put up lots of tarps hanging from the gutters to protect our bushes from debris. I was impressed that they cleaned everything up before going home each day, not waiting until the end of the job. Once we agreed on the price, things moved very fast. In less than a week We picked out a shingle color, they dropped off the shingles, a port-a-potty, and the dumpster. On the the two work days they worked from about 8-6 (well into the dark, as it was January).

They were extremely responsive and had a team out within hours. They called twice to say they were going to be a little late, which was appreciated. Once the team arrived, they were extremely professional, organized, and did an excellent job removing snow and relieving ice dams. The team was extremely pleasant and hard working. They stayed for 2 hours. Compared to other companies doing similar work but less well, the price was quite reasonable.

Great work by crew leader Jake Pedro, Konner Dexter, and others, in difficult conditions. They were especially careful to ensure that the house wasn't left exposed to severe weather when they weren't here. This was a pretty big job which went on for several weeks, even when we went on vacation. We had absolutely no concern about security, etc. while we were away. Toward the end of the job we decided to reduce the scope a bit and Jake handled the re-pricing professionally.

We engaged with G.F. Sprague in mid- late- September 2017, They promised to have our new roof on by the end of October and they delivered. The quality of the work appears to be first rate and we have had no leaks since the roof was put on. I'm not hoping for a big snow storm, but I can't wait to see if the new roof does, in fact, stop those ice dams from forming. If it does, I'll come back and update this evaluation. The staff, from Project Manager to Roofers to Customer Service Reps are all first rate and treated us with top professionalism. They were especially knowledgeable and helpful with all the arrangements required for financing.

I know this will sound odd after reading my review above but there was one rare snafu that occurred. The guys on the roof turned the diagram the wrong way and completely did the opposite half of the roof. When the Forman discovered it, he brought it to my attention and said that it was a very rare occurrence but one that does happen. Without any request from me, he acknowledged the mistake and finished the right side of the roof at no additional cost. So, we got two halfs of our roofs redone for the cost of one side. The reason I mentioned this is because it speaks to the integrity of the company and their people. I would recommend G.F. Sprague without hesitation and know you can feel confident they will do a quality job and STAND BY their work. They also follow up to ensure there are no issues after the installation. Great company, great people, and high quality workmanship that eliminates our New England ice dams.

I was very impressed with the professionalism of each member of the company. My initial inquiry was met with a quick reply and the first onsite meeting was set up within a week. On the day, we were met by the project manager who explained the nature of the day's work. The crew were courteous and accomodating to our coming/going throughout the day. Even the dumpster driver was concerned as to the placement of the dumpster in the driveway as to not interfere with our cars. In the course of stripping the existing roof, rotted boards were found and quickly replaced. The cost of the additional work was in question but was resolved quickly to everyone's satisfaction. The project lead returned after a few days to follow-up on the work that was done. He offered a walk around the house as he explained what was accomplished. This wasn't necessary but very much appreciated.

Great. I especially appreciate the seriousness with which Sprague takes its work, the patience with which representatives explain every facet of the work, the way in which they check on the customer during and after the project to be sure everything was done as promised.

I highly recommend GF Sprague for roofing. After the winter a couple of years ago, we had sever ice dams. We had GF Sprague come out and recommend some potential fixes. Jake Pedro and his crew were top notch in installing the new features on our roof. Jake kept me informed throughout the process. They cleaned the worksite diligently every afternoon and were professional throughout.

Paul Whalen did an excellent job replacing a sliding door with a picture window for me yesterday. He arrived promptly at 8 AM. Despite a cold day, he took care to ensure the house didn't get too cold by working quickly to move the door and to get the window in place. He did a great job replacing the siding. He cleaned up the area well too both inside and out. I am very pleased with the outcome.

They came by and were very insistent that both people be present. They were wanting to make a sale. They gave an estimate, it was very expensive and they left.

Ian Davis of GF Sprague came to assess the problem and provide me with an estimate. He is incredibly professional and knowledgeable about roofing. And unlike some other companies who gave me an estimate, he actually got up on a ladder to take photos of what was going on in order to give me a very precise estimate. And when I signed the contract, they did all they could to schedule my job as soon as possible due to the fact it was an active leak. The two men who came to do the work - particularly Jake Pedro - were just as professional and knowledgeable as Ian. Jake comes from a family of roofers and it is clear he is highly skilled. Based on my experience, GF Sprague is a company full of intelligent, knowledge, professional, and highly skilled people. I will be sure to call them when I need any other work on my roof!

Everything went smoothly. 2x guys worked 8 hours or more for 5 days straight in 95 degree heat. They didn't complain. they didn't eat or drink; they didn't take a bathroom break for 5 days!

We asked for Jake Pedro as the project manager because he did a good job on our roof repairs last year. Another good experience!

No work performed, complete waste of my time

Everything was done in a timely and professional way. I am very happy with my new sky light. The workmen were great. Very friendly and respectful.

We had a tree branch fall on our roof, Sprague was at the neighbors house - Paul responded quickly to replace shingles. Good as new.

We couldn't be more pleased with GF Sprague. You truly do get what you pay for. The whole process was incredibly professional and they are clearly focused on quality and customer satisfaction. As with any job, there were a few issues that cropped up after the work was done, but their responsiveness to the issues was nearly instantaneous. GF Sprague is the real deal. Make an investment in working with them and you will not regret it.

We were very happy with the professionalism of GF Sprague and would certainly recommend them. Steve, the roofer who worked on our home, took a genuine interest in making sure that the job was done right and that I was happy with his work. He called to introduce himself prior to starting the job and to ask if I had any questions. The job site was left immaculate each evening when he went home and at the completion of the job. Thank you Steve & GF Sprague!

otherwise well. Lots of noise which was expected so be prepared, as with any roofer. Otherwise was very, very organised and paid attention to every detail, including doing a very thorough cleanup afterwards.

I can't say enough! Their sales rep., Mark Vaccaro did everything he said he would do and most of all did it on time and within budget. The crew was courteous and cleaned up better than expected, I didn't find one nail on the ground. They were able to strip the old roof and install a new one within a couple of days and explained everything they did. I can't say enough about the company and especially Mr. Vaccaro and would recommend them without hesitation.

The project went very well, as we had expected. Although G F Sprague was not our lowest bidder on the project, we selected them based upon (1) their thorough evaluation and proposal of the work that needed to be done and (2) our favorable experiences with the company on two prior roofing jobs. We liked the company's focus on minimizing, and hopefully preventing, leakage from ice dams, as we had experienced in the front of our house during the multiple blizzards of February 2015. The company was able to schedule the project at a time convenient to us in late August. The roofing work was completed very professionally and in a timely manner. Raphael and his crew worked hard, especially on the first day when they put in about eleven hours. In one area the crew modified its process for removing old shingles to avoid possible damage to some of our plantings. The crew thoroughly cleaned up at the end of each workday. The company's production supervisor, Bob, was very helpful. He met with us several times to make arrangements before the project began, and he visited the site to monitor progress while the project was underway, and later when it was nearing completion. In addition, we are very pleased with the decorative rail that Sprague installed over our house's front portico. Tony, who did the carpentry work, successfully installed a custom-built rail involving odd angles in a tight space. It looks great. Finally, we would like to mention that G. F. Sprague re-roofed the back side of the main house in 2013. We had no leakage from ice dams that formed on that side of the house during the February 2015 blizzards.

I think they did a really good job. I think they did a very good job but I just would compare prices, they seem a little expensive that's all.
