All went as planned. We have used Sprague several times through the years. They are always professional and get the job done.

It went very well. The initial meeting was informative and thorough. The prompt reply to my leaks (roof done by another company) was very satisfactory. The company did a good job at keeping the job site clean at the end of the day. They followed up on their work to make sure I was satisfied and no additional leaks were present.

Service was excellent. I met with a rep who came out to take pictures, go on the roof and took measurements and inspected everything. He then stated he would setup an appointment a couple of days later where he would come back with a full assessment and estimated cost. A week later he met at the house again and spent a good amount of time talking about the company history and showing me all the license and insurances they had. Gave me a detail of the work i needed done and overall cost. The price was very reasonable. I had quotes from other roofers/contractors who were a little cheaper but did not include the cost of adding ventilation and re-pointing of the Chimney. After a couple of weeks of once the permits were taken out the work began. One day a person came out to add all the vents around the house. Spent the day. Very personal and did a great job cleaning up. Couple of days later the Mason called me while I was at work to let me know he was starting the work and called when completed. Few days after that the roofers came and spent the day replacing my roof. Once the work was completed they did an excellent job of cleaning up and following up to make sure I was happy. They made what would be a bit of a stressful process very easy

They were reliable. They finished when they said they would be finished and their work was meticulous.

The company has always been responsive and has done a very good job each time we call them. We have used other roofers who were much less expert. When this company does a job for us the problem has always been fixed and stays fixed.

The contractor was on time and very pleasant and efficient. I wanted the work done while the weather was still warm and they were able to add me to their "fast track" group. They finished on time. G. F. Sprague provided photographs before and after along with a chart showing the work done. The price is expensive but they were the only contractor who could clean my downspouts and make sure the drywells were working properly.

The first individual sent to perform the work was very nice but did a poor job-boards did not line up well as they should. The company promptly sent a more experienced carpenter who re-did the work of the first at no charge.

Their estimate was more than double the price of other roofers I received estimates from! They all explained that they would be doing similar work, with the same materials. Not sure why the huge difference in price; the other roofers (also well, rated, and insured) quoted under $10k.

. Based on recommendations from friends and colleagues, I have hired GF Sprague several times over the past number of years to do roofing and chimney projects on my house. The initial project was the main roof of my house. The work was meticulous and completed in a timely manner. I was offered a variety of choices of roofing materials,and have been very pleased with the quality and aesthetic of my roof. In the past couple of years I have hired Sprague again to do two more roofing projects and to partially rebuild and correct the flashing on my chimney. The labor and materials are pricey, but I believe that they are of a high quality. I have consistently been treated with professionalism by the people at G.F. Sprague.

They were very professional, on time and clean. Very responsive to all questions, concerns etc. They were also very persistent about coming in for the one year guarantee inspection. Very happy with their service. Regarding the cost, they were on the expensive side, but I think it was worth the cost.

Initially, we were aghast at the cost to restore our garage that is very old and was in poor condition. But we have had work done by this company that was reasonably priced and done very well. Extensive masonry work was performed inside and outside due to water damage over many years. The rubber and tar and gravel roofs were removed and a new rubber roof installed with caps. Materials and quality of work was excellent. Tinted sealant, new fascia, gutter, downspout. My garage now looks better than new. Everything was explained. Easily reached with questions. The crews came early working long hours to complete the project on time. Cleaned up every day. Very professional group.

The follow up from the company to insure my satisfaction sets the standard, with the owner coming out to speak with me and inspect the work. I will definitely recommend and use G.F. Sprague for my future roofing needs. My neighbors commented on the professionalism and work ethic of the crew.

This major building improvement went exceptionally well. From the initial sales interaction, followed by the execution of the project plan, and final product result. The project started on the agreed upon date and was completed as scheduled. The project team was led by an experienced manager and a group of skilled and highly competent professionals. The team was organized, productive, and did a top quality job in replacing the building roof, gutters, and the roof deck. There were many problems and unique aspects to the roof requiring careful attention. The project manager ensured that all these areas were addressed in the plan and a detailed approach outlined. He regularly communicated project status and ensured that any specific issues/concerns identified by the clients were properly followed through. Overall, a great service experience. More importantly, the quality and integrity of the job performed by this company is reassuring to the building owners. We can now look forward to the rains.

Came on time, worked efficiently discussed problem and solutions.

We used this company because they had done previous roofing and gutter work. The water problem has not been resolved and we are working with a different contractor to fix the problem, replace the poorly installed windows from 2008.

They did a great job explaining all that was needed to replace our roof. The initial visit was very thorough and he explained the different options that we had given our current roofing configuration. We were deciding between them and another company because they are more expensive, but you get what you pay for! Their service and dedication to do the job right was evident. For the gutters, they painted them to match the house (with our paint) so they didn't stand out as "new" gutters. They gave us addresses of other customers that used the colors that we wanted so we could see what it looked like in real life. This was really helpful. We were happy to take advantage of a holiday weekend "special" which brought the priced down more in line with the other company.

Fantastic company. Responded quickly and fixed the problem.

Asked them for an estimate to fix a leaking chimney. Arrived in a timely manner but insisted that both homeowners be present during the meeting and discussion of the estimate. By the end of the visit which was a sales job, they had added 5 recommended "projects" including replacing the entire roof because of lichen growth. Naturally estimate was about triple our expectations. We asked them to unbundle the projects so as we could prioritize projects. They refused stating the price took into consideration all projects and difficulty of constructing a scaffold. We declined their services, but that did not stop them from calling us on a weekly basis for 3 months asking why we did not select them. Each time we asked them to unbundle the projects but they refused. Finally after 3 months, they quoted us a price for our original project, but by then we had taken our services elsewhere. Still kept calling until we firmly told them to get lost. Eventually got all projects done at 1/2 of their quoted price.

Jim Mitchell was professional and attentive. He performed top notch work, and I would certainly recommend him. This was a generous offer from Sprague and a job well done.

They are very good. The prices are a little on the high side, but they follow through and stand by their work. They followed up on any issues we had. They did high quality work.

UPDATE 27 FEB 2013: After having the company try to contact us via phone several times, engage us in a phone survey, writing a letter to us asking to speak, and talking to a senior manager, I have updated my review to only include the facts and none of my opinions. We had used them to do a roof repair after the brutal winter of 2011. Even though they weren't the least expensive, we went ahead and hired them because they were able to do the work in a timely fashion, unlike the others we contacted, and we were willing to pay the premium. I decided to ask them for an estimate on this gutter work, as they had done good work previously. Sprague was eight times higher in their work estimate than competing bids. We chose another contractor to perform the work as specified. I won't ask them for work estimates in the future.

Very knowledgable personnel, Nick was great, went above & beyond, did a great job - yes he was very chatty too - way too.

During the late October snow storm ,a large limb from our neighbor's tree fell on our garage and rear house roof. The garage roof was pierced with many holes. Sprague Roofing responded immediately to our call for help. Hal came to our house, took pictures, and came back to apply a temporary patch on the garage roof. He returned with a complete repair proposal and discussed options with my husband and me. He also came back when the insurance adjuster had questions about the damage. I believe the pictures and explanation helped with our claim. Sprague Roofing did a good job with the repairs. We had a few follow up details and Jen, our project contact, helped complete the project. We would definitely use Sprague Roofing again.

They are extraordinary careful in discussing in advance what needs to be done and why it needs to be done. In my case, my house originally had wooden gutters and replaced them piece by piece. And each contractor had different methods. GF Saugue did a great job explaining what the other contracts had done and mapped out how they could repair the gutters and provide sketches and a formal presentation. I was really impressed. Then they came in with their crew and did exactly what they said they were going to do. It only took 3-4 days to finish the project. It was just a really good job and they followed up to make sure I was happy with the work. And they were extremely friendly, safe and professional. It clear to see they knew what they were doing.
